I've only been at this red-pilling stuff for about a year, after reading some interesting stuff on devinecosmos - and elsewhere. These past few years have been a real eyeopener for me.
Most everyone I talk with have the feeling things aren't quite right, and hasn't been for a long time. About 20-25% think it's all fake news and blame Trump. That percentage will put up the biggest struggle to understand. My older sister (77yo) is going to be one of them. She's been a reliable card-carrying voting block of one for the democrat party all her life. Whenever someone mentions Trump in a good way her eyes roll back in her head and I swear the ears close up! Trump's an asshole she will say - and I can bet money on that happening. She watches The View every morning.
The best approach I've found is to contrast & compare the 8 years of Obama vs the 1.5 years under Trump. Ask them how the hell it is that Trump could get an economy revved up and the unemployment numbers down yet Obama struggled with both, on purpose it would seem. Sow doubt about Obama being 'all that' in any category. I have an 81yo friend (I'm not young either!) who is so stuck on the left he can't see that this is not about politics, left or right. IMO its easier to approach people in as apolitical a manner as you can muster up. Not all tactics work on all people - its best to engage them in an indirect manner and feel them out as you go. You can't get into someone's grill and give them all the particulars, there is a lot to take in. I'm still learning. I started taking more interest in the political situation back in the early 90's, things just didn't seem right. How the hell can you elect and reelect a congresscritter that tells you what they're going to do in DC, and once they get there do nothing of what they promised. I'm tired of the "its too hard" bullshit. These people are quite transparent to me now - and I can tell you it's a revelation to be able to hear what they really mean when they start talking.
I had something of an epiphany last night just before bedtime, I was meditating and pretty much was blank when a rush of ideas came flooding into my head. Quantam thought? I think so. Anyway, much of the things I've read about and hearing news reports came together with a nice neat bow on top! This movement we have started is just, it's right, it's truth vs lies and deceit and a war against corruption - and worse. In that moment I felt like everything is going to be all right.
Remember, evil is not an entity, its simply a lack of good. Much like darkness is only a lack of light, evil is just the lack of God. God teaches us to love our enemies. I find that hard to do but I'm working on that too.
