If we are going by nature's ability to protect itself, this would make sense. If there is a famine, not enough food for future generations, then a natural way to have less people to feed, is to stop reproduction. Stop reproduction by making people gay. Maybe Biolabs cashed in on that and purposely manipulated processed food to make more gay people.
