i've written a hacky solution to the reply issue.

function replaceLinks() {

var links = document.querySelectorAll(".post_no")

for (let link of links) {

num = "#q" + link.textContent;

url = window.location.href.split('#')[0]

link.removeAttribute("onclick");

link.href= url + num

}

}

var t=setInterval(replaceLinks,1000);

paste that into your userjs in options

the way it works is that after you click the post number to reply, you have to refresh. when the site is buggy and slow, this will be annoying. trying to figure out a way to get the quick reply to show with the post number on there, but i'm a noob. this does work though, if you're tired of copy pasting

in the revised version i made it so that there's a delayed reload after clicking (location.reload.bind(location) )

it's not optimal but idk how this magic quick reply box works..i'll look into it more tomorrow

tbh idk how it works but without the reload, clicking just changes the url and doesn't force the quick reply box to show. it must have something to do with quick-reply.js (https://github.com/ctrlcctrlv/infinity/blob/master/js/quick-reply.js)

but this is old code, so i'm not sure.

and yea, i'm sure he's adapting his bot as we speak. he seems to hate jim but it's hard to imagine someone going to these lengths just because of a personal vendetta (and acting alone). as for the IPs, only jim would know about those - i think mods see only hashes

well brennan is definitely involved but it's unclear to what extent. he's tweeted DM's with the spammer showing that he helped him with something captcha related. it seems like he's trying to give the impression that he's just replying to DMs every now and then, but that could just be him playing dumb or distancing himself.

spammer claims to be a 20 year old jew and 8chan oldfag who is angry about the site changes. but why now? also what kind of 20 year old kid has the resources to pull this off? brennan doesn't seem to doubt his story at all, which is fishy too.

as for the bounty hunter thing, i don't even know what to make of that, kek.. they're both fucking insane. i wish this site had a competent, hands-on admin like any other site on the internet, without the drama, but that's too much to ask for.
