The Trump home search: Push to unseal warrant used by FBI

President Donald Trump has called for the “immediate” release of the federal warrant the FBI used to search his Florida estate, hours after the Justice Department had asked a court to unseal the warrant, with Attorney General Merrick Garland citing the “substantial public interest in this matter.”

In messages posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, “Not only will I not oppose the release of documents … I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents.” He continued to assail the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago as “unAmerican, unwarranted and unnecessary.”

“Release the documents now!” he wrote.

Trump has been provided at least some of the records the government was seeking to unseal, but he and his lawyers have declined, so far, to make them public.

Support for Manchin-Schumer spending bill could be final blow for 5 most vulnerable House Democrats

The five House Democrats running for re-election in districts won by former President Trump in the 2020 presidential election face a giant hurdle this week that raises doubts about whether they could survive facing off against their Republican challengers in the November midterm elections.

The House is set for a high-stakes vote Friday on a massive social spending and taxation bill, officially known as the Inflation Reduction Act, that many economists have said would have no actual impact on inflation, and instead add to the already sky-high national debt.

Fox News Digital reached out to the five Democrats in the tightest re-election races, including Rep. Tom O'Halleran, D-Ariz., Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa, Rep. Jared Golden, D-Maine, Rep. Matt Cartwright, D-Pa., and Rep. Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, and asked if they planned to support the legislation, or if they would be pushing for any changes to it. None of them responded.

Christopher Wray Slams ‘Deplorable’ Threats; Allowed Left to Harass Supreme Court

FBI Director Christopher Wray has denounced “deplorable” threats against federal law enforcement agencies and personnel that he says have appeared since the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, on Monday.

On Wednesday, Wray called such threats, which have appeared on social media, “deplorable and dangerous.” (The apparent irony of the use of the word “deplorable” — once used by Hillary Clinton to mock Trump supporters — was evident lost.)

Biden’s new challenge is FBI’s Trump search

Biden, wary of appearing to influence the ongoing Justice Department investigation into the former president, doesn’t want to talk about the FBI search earlier this week at Mar-a-Lago.

Democrats say that’s the right approach, but it means Republicans hurling accusations and condemnations at the Justice Department and FBI will largely go unanswered by the White House. It also suggests that Biden is likely to shy away from openly criticizing his predecessor for the time being, despite most signs pointing to a Trump-Biden rematch in 2024.

Google fined $43M by Australian court for misleading users over data

An Australian court has ordered Google to pay roughly $43 million ($60 million AUD) for misleading users about the collection and use of their location data, an Australian competition watchdog said Friday.

The court found Google breached Australian Consumer Law between January 2017 and December 2018 by misrepresenting to some Android users what settings allowed Google to collect and use personal location data, according to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission’s announcement.
