Labour MPs have blasted the Conservative leadership frontrunner over exploiting the topic of anti-Semitism to prop her campaign

The British foreign secretary and the Conservative Party leadership favorite, Liz Truss, has earned a scathing rebuke from the FDA union representing senior civil and public servants, after she vowed to “protect British Jewry” from “creeping antisemitism” and “woke culture” in the civil service. The FDA general secretary, Dave Penman, called her remarks “insulting” and showing “a lack of leadership.”

“The Conservatives have been in government for more than 12 years now and, for most of that time, Liz Truss has been a minister. So, accusations of ‘civil service wokeism’ are a little ironic, given it’s essentially a criticism of their own leadership,” Penman told the British media on Friday, adding that Truss’ remarks go “further than the usual dog-whistle politics” and many civil servants find them “both insulting and abhorrent.”

Truss is currently running against former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak to succeed Boris Johnson as party leader and prime minister of the UK. Last week, she was reportedly polling 26 points ahead of her competitor. Yet, according to Penman, her recent statements show she might not exactly fit the job.

“A prime minister is also minister for the civil service,” he said, adding that leveling “unfounded inflammatory accusations” demonstrates a lack of leadership. Such harsh criticism has been sparked by a written statement Truss made following her speech at a Manchester synagogue. There, she blasted the “woke” civil service culture that supposedly “strays into anti-Semitism” while praising the “Jewish values” she said were “Conservative values and British values too.”

“Every organization has its culture, but it’s not fixed, it can be changed,” she said in the statement. Truss also vowed to check if schools are doing enough to educate students and teachers about anti-Semitism and said that universities should be “ridded” of that issue as well, according to her team. According to Penman, though, the foreign secretary failed to provide a single example of anti-Semitism among the civil servants.

A source within her Conservative leadership campaign team also told the British media that the Labour Party had become a “talking shop for anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism” under the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer and, previously, Jeremy Corbyn. “This has increased anxieties within the Jewish community,” the source added.

‘Fatwah’ author Salman Rushdie attacked with knife

The novelist was about to speak in New York when he was stabbed

Author Salman Rushdie was attacked on Friday in New York State, while preparing to give a lecture. Video from the event shows security swarming the stage and Rushdie lying on the ground. Initial reports said he was stabbed. The attacker has been arrested.

Rushdie, 75, was preparing to give a speech at the Chautauqua Institution. Unverified photos circulating on social media show the Indian-born British-American novelist being taken away in an ambulance.

“Rushdie suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck,” the New York State Police said in a statement said. He was airlifted by helicopter to a local hospital.

Authorities have not yet identified the assailant. Major outlets have speculated the attack could be related to the 1989 fatwa declared by Iran’s late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, offering a bounty on Rushdie’s head for his novel ‘The Satanic Verses,’ declared blasphemous in the Islamic Republic.

While Iran has officially backtracked from the fatwa, an Iranian religious foundation offered a $3.3 million bounty for Rushdie in 2012.

Judge Who Issued Mar-a-Lago Raid Warrant Was Terminated By Man Who’s Sentence Trump Commuted

The Gateway Pundit has been following all the details of the digression of the United States into Third World status. Earlier in the week, it was reported that the judge, Judge Bruce Reinhart, was employed as an assistant US Attorney in the very office that was prosecuting Jeffrey Epstein. He resigned that position only to join the defense counsel of Epstein’s accomplices. Epstein was given what was referred to as a non-prosecutorial “sweetheart plea deal” orchestrated by Alex Acosta. Acosta was later interviewed by the Trump transition team for the job of Labor Secretary. When asked about the Epstein deal, Acosta says he was told to back off and that Epstein “belonged to intelligence“.

Fast forward to just two months ago and the very same Judge Reinhart recused himself from the Trump v Clinton, et al. case. The statute he cites, 28 USC § 455, states he “shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned” among other explanations.

As if those two circumstances weren’t enough, there’s more: in April of 2018, Bruce Reinhart was terminated as counsel for Philip Esformes, the notorious Medicare/Medicaid fraudster.

Philip Esformes was one of approximately 90 people that President Trump commuted or pardoned back in December 2020.

FBI Removed 'Eleven Sets' Of Classified Docs In Raid; Allies Insist Trump Declassified

Update (1325ET): The DOJ leak-fest continues, this time with the Wall Street Journal reporting that the FBI "removed 11 sets of classified documents, including some marked as top secret and meant to only be available in special government facilities" (much like the 7 'top secret' email chains on Hillary Clinton's computer).

The Federal Bureau of Investigation agents took around 20 boxes of items, binders of photos, a handwritten note and the executive grant of clemency for Mr. Trump’s ally Roger Stone, a list of items removed from the property shows. Also included in the list was information about the “President of France,” according to the three-page list. The list is contained in a seven-page document that also includes the warrant to search the premises which was granted by a federal magistrate judge in Florida. -WSJ

One set of the recovered documents were marked as "Various classified/TS/SCI documents," referring to sensitive or top-secret information.

The agency also claims they collected four sets of top secret documents, three sets of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents.

According to the Journal's subheadline, Trump allies insist the documents were declassified by the former president.

The search and seizure warrant, signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, shows that FBI agents sought to search “the 45 Office,” as well as “all storage rooms and all other rooms or areas within the premises used or available to be used by [the former president] and his staff and in which boxes or documents could be stored, including all structures or buildings on the estate.”

The former president and his team don’t have the affidavit, which would provide more detail about the FBI’s investigation, according to people familiar with the process. His lawyers have asked for a more specific account of what was removed from Mar-a-Lago. -WSJ

Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel Compares COVID Shot to iPhone, Saying People Will Receive New Version Each Year

The chief executive officer of Moderna, Stéphane Bancel, compared the COVID vaccine to Apple’s iPhone, stating that consumers will get a new version every year.

According to a recent interview with CNN Business, Stéphane Bancel predicted that in the near future, a yearly vaccine would be developed that would protect against multiple strains of COVID-19, the flu, and other common viruses with a single dose.

Moderna plans to release a single-dose annual booster for coronavirus, flu, and other respiratory virus within five years.

“We think we can put in a single product a lot of mRNAs, taking care of all of those viruses. And that’s once a year. You should be able to get an annual booster, a single dose, that has, in the vial, all those mRNAs for all those viruses that are, of course, adapted to the strain of a season like flu, like COVID strain, and so on,” Bencel told CNN.

Bencel compared the development of the Covid shot to the process of getting yearly upgrades on an iPhone.

“You don’t get the amazing camera, amazing everything the first time you get an iPhone, but you get a lot of things,” he said.

“A lot of us buy a new iPhone every September, and you get new apps and you get refreshed apps. And that’s exactly the same idea, which is you’ll get Covid and flu and RSV in your single dose,” he added.

A peer-reviewed study from researchers in France has concluded that both the experimental Pfizer and Moderna vaccines significantly increase the risk of myocarditis compared to the unvaccinated, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

While both mRNA therapies were found to be linked to the life-threatening heart condition, the Moderna jabs results were particularly shocking, especially among young adults, as researchers found the risk for myocarditis diagnosis following the Moderna jab was 44 times higher risk for individuals aged 18 to 24 years old, according to the study.

According to the CDC data, the incidence of heart inflammation was 4.41 excess per 100,000 who received the Pfizer/BioNTech for males aged 18-39 versus 6.27 excess cases per 100,000 for Moderna, Reuters reported.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a 37-year-old was on life support following a reaction to a Moderna booster shot which caused brain rupture and two cardiac arrests.

Om Prakash Mohapatra has been fighting for his life since January 15th due to a severe reaction from his booster shot. After thorough testing and consultation with family, doctors took Om off life support on February 4th.

According to a fundraiser page, Om was in perfect health till he received the booster shot. It started as nausea, deteriorated quickly, and turned into heart failure on the morning of Jan 15th.

Historian and MSNBC contributor Michael Beschloss raised the specter of the execution of President Trump in response to a Washington Post report Thursday.

The report, based on anonymous sources, accused President Trump of taking nuclear documents when he left the White House in 2021. According to the Washington Post, this motivated the Biden administration’s raid on Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida home, Mar-a-Lago on Monday.

Trump argued on Friday the report is a hoax.

Google execs threaten workers with layoffs: ‘There will be blood on the streets’

Google executives are telling their employees to shape up or ship out, warning that layoffs are coming if results don’t meet expectations.

Employees who work in the Google Cloud sales department said that senior leadership told them that there will be an “overall examination of sales productivity and productivity in general.”

If third quarter results “don’t look up, [then] there will be blood on the streets,” according to a message conveyed to the sales team. The warning was first reported by Insider.

Employees told the news site that they are fearful of layoffs after the company quietly extended its hiring freeze this month without making an announcement.

The Post has sought comment from Google.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai told his employees in an all hands meeting late last month that they needed to improve their focus and productivity due to fierce economic headwinds that have forced widespread belt-tightening all throughout the technology sector.

Pichai said that he wanted to solicit ideas from his employees on how to get “better results faster.”

“It’s clear we are facing a challenging macro environment with more uncertainty ahead,” Pichai said.

“There are real concerns that our productivity as a whole is not where it needs to be for the head count we have.”

The search engine also announced a two-week hiring freeze last month, but so far it has not reversed its decision — prompting employees to fear the worst, according to Insider.

Since Pichai’s comments, “everyone has been talking about the company tightening its belt,” one employee told Insider.

Google isn’t the only tech company that has put its employees on notice.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Facebook’s parent company Meta, blamed “one of the worst downturns that we’ve seen in recent history” for a series of cost-cutting measures, including a hiring freeze.

Zuckerberg also made it clear that the company will part ways with employees who do not perform up to par.

Top Biden aide Anita Dunn reveals conflicts of interest in multi-million dollar fortune

President Biden’s senior adviser, Anita Dunn, has revealed a vast investment fortune worth up to $48 million — as well as a series of conflicts of interest.

Mandatory ethics disclosure forms made public this week shed light on Dunn’s finances after the longtime Democratic operative left the White House last year following a prior short stint — in what was widely seen as a way to avoid making the reports.

Dunn and her husband, attorney Bob Bauer, hold between $16.8 million and $48.2 million in investments, according to papers released by the US Office of Government Ethics.

The couple’s sprawling portfolio includes a vast array of companies regulated by or working with the federal government — from banks, Big Tech and energy companies to drugmakers and arms contractors.

Firms in which the couple hold a financial stake include Amazon, Apple, Bank of America, Boeing, Cisco, Comcast, ConocoPhillips, Exxon, Facebook, General Dynamics, General Motors, Google, Halliburton, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, Oracle, Phillip Morris, Tesla and Wells Fargo.

The Dunns also hold a stake worth between $1 million and $5 million in marketing firm Stagwell Inc, which in 2015 bought Democrat-affiliated campaign contractor SKDKnickerbocker, where Dunn worked as managing director.

White House spokesman Chris Meagher told CNBC that Dunn “will need to divest her holdings and is recused from all matters involving SKDK and her past clients” — meaning Dunn won’t be able to partake in much of the decision-making involving either the private sector or Democratic politics, since SKDK’s client list includes Biden himself and scores of governors, as well as House and Senate members.

Warrant Shows DOJ, FBI Waited Several Days After Judge Approved to Conduct Mar-a-Lago Raid

The warrant that authorized the search of former President Donald Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago shows it was issued by U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on Aug. 5, 2022, at 12:12 p.m.—nearly three full days before the Justice Department and FBI conducted a raid to execute it.

The raid did not occur until the morning of Aug. 8, 2022, when federal agents from the FBI arrived at Mar-a-Lago to execute the search warrant.

The document, obtained and reviewed by Breitbart News, shows that the DOJ and FBI waited several days after Reinhart approved the warrant to conduct the raid, something that severely undercuts the talking points issued by Attorney General Merrick Garland in a public statement on Thursday when he broke his silence to discuss the matter in televised remarks.

Why the authorities waited several days to execute service of the warrant if the matter rose to such a serious national security issue is unclear. If what federal agents intended to obtain from the raid was such a risk to national security, the fact they decided to linger and wait for several days before executing is likely to become a major point of contention as this debate plays out in front of the public.

Garland announced in his public remarks on Thursday that the Department of Justice had moved to unseal the warrant and inventory list of documents obtained from the raid. Trump indicated in public statements on Thursday evening that he would support such a move and wants the documents out in public. It is expected these documents, including the warrant that has been reviewed by Breitbart News, will be made public by the court soon, later on Friday or in the coming days.

The documents obtained by Breitbart News include the warrant, two accompanying attachments specifying terms for the warrant, and a property receipt outlining the inventory federal agents seized from Mar-a-Lago.

The inventory list of what was seized—or the receipt part of the document—is three pages long and constitutes two separate receipts, one that is two pages long and another that is one page long. Both receipts were signed by Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb and dated on Monday Aug. 8, 2022, at 6:19 p.m. The longer receipt was signed by FBI Special Agent Jeremy Linton and the shorter receipt was signed by the name: “L. Grady Gary” and includes the title SSA. It is unclear who that person is, and the handwriting is not the clearest.

Disgraced Tavistock Trans Kids Clinic Faces Lawsuits From 1,000 Families

Over 1,000 families are expected to bring legal action against the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which operated the only gender clinic for children in England before being ordered to shut down over safety concerns.

The Tavistock Centre and its Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS), which has been accused of offering puberty blocking drugs to children after as little as just one consultation, is now facing legal action from families over allegedly misdiagnosing their children.

Since opening in 1989, the Tavistock Centre “treated” some 19,000 children for alleged gender dysphoria, a condition in which an individual feels a disconnect between their biological sex and their gender identity.

Speaking to The Times, Tom Goodhead of the Pogust Goodhead law firm said that he is expecting “at least 1,000” families to join in the legal action against the NHS trust.

“Children and young adolescents were rushed into treatment without the appropriate therapy and involvement of the right clinicians, meaning that they were misdiagnosed and started on a treatment pathway that was not right for them,” he said.

“These children have suffered life-changing and, in some cases, irreversible effects of the treatment they received.”

In 2021, Keira Bell sued the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, alleging that the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) had pressured her into medically transitioning her gender at the age of 16, something which she later grew to regret as an adult.

While the High Court had initially ruled in her favour, finding that it was wrong for the clinic to prescribe puberty blockers without the authorisation of a court, the decision was later overturned by the Court of Appeal.

In May, the Supreme Court ruled that she will not be able to challenge the decision, clearing the way for more children to be prescribed with life-altering drugs.

Bell says that as a result of her “treatment” she was left with “no breasts, a deep voice, body hair, a beard, affected sexual function and who knows what else.”

Farmer Protests: MPs Grill Government on EU Great Reset Agenda Forcing Farms to Close

Elected representatives in the Netherlands have grilled the country’s government over exactly how many farms will be forced to close to satisfy the European Union’s Great Reset green agenda.

As farmers in the Netherlands continue protesting the EU’s Great Reset measures, which could see as much as 30 per cent of livestock farms in the country forced to close, stunned elected representatives have been grilling the Dutch government as to the exact nature of the planned closures.

Described as being part and parcel of an “unavoidable transition“, the Dutch government has seemingly committed itself to killing off many farming businesses in its own country for the sake of appeasing green agenda nitrogen reduction targets set by Eurocrats in Brussels.

However, while those in the government’s cabinet seem steadfast in doing the work ordered by the European Union, other politicians — including some of those within the parties of the country’s ruling coalition — have challenged the move.

According to a report by farming magazine Nieuwe Oogst, some MPs have expressed disbelief at the number of farms that will be forced to close under the nitrogen reduction measures, with the Christian Democratic Alliance (CDA) even saying that it believes the official numbers to have been an error in communication with the government.

Canada Outlaws "Condoning, Denying or Downplaying" the Holocaust Mythos

Jewish Political Theology Enshrined in the Criminal Code

According to the OED, a “mythos” is a “traditional or recurrent narrative theme or pattern; a standard plot in literature.” For many, the Holocaust Mythos conjures up the hope of universal redemption from the absolute evils of racism, anti-Semitism, and militant White nationalism. Arising out of the allegedly planned extermination of the Jewish people by “Nazi” Germany and its collaborators, the story has acquired canonical status in officially-constructed “memory cultures” throughout the West. In Canada, where the politically correct Trudeau regime clearly craves recognition as a humanitarian superpower, the government has followed in the footsteps of Germany and several other European states by enshrining the official narrative in the Criminal Code, s. 319. Henceforth

(2.1) Everyone who, by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, wilfully promotes antisemitism by condoning, denying or downplaying the Holocaust

(a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or

(b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.

Even before the criminal law was amended to outlaw the “[w]ilful promotion of antisemitism,” schools, universities, churches, and the media in Canada routinely stigmatize anyone who publicly dares to doubt the truth of the Holocaust Mythos. The Canadian parliament, therefore, meekly echoed Jewish historian Alon Confino who describes the Holocaust as “a foundational event that tests the limits of our humanity.” Another Jewish historian, Matthew Feldman, acknowledges that the received interpretation of “the Holocaust” as “history’s greatest crime” emanates a quintessentially religious aura. No Member of Parliament wanted to be seen “profaning” the memory of Jewish victims of “the supreme example of human inhumanity” by voting against the proposed amendments. For its part, the Trudeau government can be confident that enforcement of its postmodern anti-blasphemy law will not be impeded by the much-hyped Charter of Rights and Freedoms. For a long-time Charter sceptic such as myself, this is no surprise.

After the massive violations of a host of fundamental rights and civil liberties supposedly “guaranteed” by the Charter during the recent Covid pandemic, suppression of presumptive rights to form and publicly express controversial opinions on the history of the Third Reich is about par for the course. Is it merely coincidence that this restriction of free speech reflects the power and serves the interests of one particular, highly-visible, economically well-endowed, socially privileged, and politically powerful ethnic group? Curiously enough, at least one prominent Jewish spokesman fears that to make “condoning, denying, or downplaying the Holocaust” a criminal offence will not be good for the Jews. Nevertheless, Carolyn Yeager, an American blogger of German ancestry, has documented the widespread support for such legislation within the organized Jewish community in Canada.

Report: 300 TikTok, ByteDance employees are current, former Chinese gov’t workers

Hundreds of LinkedIn profiles of employees with popular video-sharing app TikTok and its parent company ByteDance revealed 300 current TikTok and ByteDance employees either previously worked for Chinese state-run media outlets, or still do.

According to a Forbes report published Wednesday, the LinkedIn profiles reveal strong links between ByteDance and the Chinese government’s propaganda office at a time when the propaganda office is heavily investing in social media to promote Chinese Communist Party (CCP) narratives.

23 of the 300 profiles LinkedIn reviewed were reportedly created by current ByteDance employees who manage company departments overseeing content partnerships, public affairs, corporate social responsibility and “media cooperation.”

50 of the profiles are for employees specifically working with TikTok. One of those profiles is for an employee who previously worked as Chief Correspondent for Xinhua News, the Chinese government’s official press agency.

15 of the profiles are of ByteDance employees who work concurrently with Chinese state media outlets. Those outlets included Xinhua as well as China Radio International and China Central Television (CCTV) and China Global Television (CGTN).

Xinhua, China Radio International, CCTV and CGTN were all listed by the State Department in 2020 as missions of a foreign government under the Foreign Missions Act.

In response to Forbes’ requests for comment, both ByteDance and TikTok did not dispute that the 300 employee LinkedIn profiles showed their current and former Chinese state media connections.

ByteDance spokesperson Jennifer Banks told Forbes that the company makes its hiring decisions “based purely on an individual’s professional capability to do the job.”

“For our China-market businesses, that includes people who have previously worked in government or state media positions in China,” Banks added. “Outside of China, employees also bring experience in government, public policy, and media organizations from dozens of markets.”

In response to a question about the 15 employees concurrently working with Chinese state media company, Banks said ByteDance “does not allow employees to hold second or part-time jobs, or any outside business activity, that would cause a conflict of interest.”

Zelensky is either to face tribunal or return to comedy shows — Russia Security Council

Dmitry Medvedev pointed out that he had visited the zone of combat operations in Lugansk on Thursday without any fears, adding that "it is they who should be afraid of us"

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has no choice other than to face a tribunal or play secondary roles in comedy shows, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with journalist Nadan Fridrikhson, which was posted on his Telegram channel on Friday.

Medvedev’s secretariat has confirmed to TASS the authenticity of the interview.

Thus, when asked what he thinks about Zelensky’s future, Medvedev said, "Either a tribunal or secondary roles in comedy shows again."

He said he had visited Lugansk on Thursday to discuss what can be done more to defend people living in the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics, and on other liberated territories.

FBI agents seized classified records from former President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago during its unprecedented raid on Monday, including some marked as top secret, according to documents reviewed by Fox News.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart signed the warrant on Aug. 5, giving the FBI authority to conduct its search "on or before August 19, 2022," and "in the daytime 6:00 am. to 10:00 p.m."

"The locations to be searched include the ‘45 Office,' all storage rooms, and all other rooms or areas within the premises used or available to be used by FPOTUS and his staff and in which boxes or documents could be stored, including all structures or buildings on the estate," the warrant states, but did not give authority to agents to search areas being occupied by Mar-a-Lago members or not used by Trump and staff.

The warrant gave agents the authority to seize "all physical documents and records constituting evidence, contraband, fruits of crime, or other items illegally possessed" in violation of U.S. Code, including documents with classification markings and presidential records created between Jan. 20, 2017 and Jan. 20, 2021.

According to the property receipt, reviewed by Fox News, FBI agents took approximately 20 boxes of items from the premises, including one set of documents marked as "Various classified/TS/SCI documents," which refers to top secret/ sensitive information.

The property receipt also shows that FBI agents collected four sets of top secret documents, three sets of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents.

The property receipt does not reveal any details about those records.

The list also includes a "leatherbound box of documents," binders of photos, handwritten notes, miscellaneous documents, miscellaneous top secret documents, miscellaneous confidential documents, and other records.

The former president and his team are disputing the classification and believe the information and records to have been declassified.

Trump posted on his TRUTH Social account Friday that the documents were "all declassified."

"Number one, it was all declassified. Number two, they didn't need to ‘seize’ anything," Trump posted. "They could have had it anytime they wanted without playing politics and breaking into Mar-a-Lago."

Trump added: "It was in secured storage, with an additional lock put on as per their request."

Google fined $60 million for misleading some Australian mobile users about collection of location data

Google has been slapped with a $60 million fine for some misleading consumers about the collection and use of their personal location data on Android phones between January 2017 and December 2018.

The consumer watchdog, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), took Google to the Federal Court last year, saying the issue may have affected about 1.3 million Australian customers.

The Federal Court found Google represented to some Android users that the setting titled Location History was the only account setting that affected whether Google collected, kept and used personally identifiable data about their location.

But there was another account setting, titled Web & App Activity, which also enabled Google to collect personal information, which was turned on by default.

Google fixed the issue by December 2018.
