Probable cause is a bench judgement call. If the judge is bent good luck on getting any satisfaction from "winning" that point after the fact. The remedy would be the exclusion (at trial if Trump is indicted) of any evidence obtained during the illegal search.
The issue anon hasn't seen addressed yet is how can a former President be charged when he had no involvement in deciding which materials could be taken at the end of his term? That is all legal/paralegal work unless the President was personally involved in the thousands of decisions over what materials are to be removed.
