Two Democratic lawmakers cast 10 proxy votes each on House floor in favor of $740B spending bill

There were 187 proxy letters filed ahead of the vote, according to the House clerk website.

One Democratic lawmaker, Virginia Rep. Don Beyer, cast 10 proxy votes on the House floor on Friday in favor of the Democrats' $740 billion climate and healthcare spending bill, the Inflation Reduction Act.

Democratic Rep. Lou Correa of California also cast 10 proxy votes on behalf of lawmakers. New York Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman cast seven proxy votes on the floor.

In total, 187 House members submitted proxy voting letters authorizing other lawmakers to vote on their behalf ahead of Friday's vote, according to the House clerk website. This total represented about 35% of the House.

Proxy voting was first put in place as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi extended it through Sept. 26. House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy has pledged to end the proxy voting system if the GOP wins back the majority in the House.

The CBO said on Thursday that it needed more time to fully score the current Senate-passed version of the bill, but the House held the vote, and it passed with 220 votes from Democrats. There were 207 Republicans who voted against it, and 4 did not cast a vote.

"Given the scope of the amendments to title I, Committee on Finance, CBO expects that it will be a few weeks before we can fully analyze and estimate those budgetary effects, at which point we will provide a complete cost estimate for the legislation," CBO Director Phillip Swagel wrote on Thursday in a letter to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee.

Democratic leaders used budget reconciliation to avoid the legislative filibuster in the 50-50 Senate. The Senate-passed version of the bill was not altered in the House. It now goes to President Biden's desk to be signed into law.

IRS Annual Report Shows Training of Heavily Armed Agents Raiding Suburban Homes

IRS Criminal Investigation special agents can be seen in the 2021 annual report of the Internal Revenue Service conducting a variety of deadly force exercises. The agents are trained to shoot and kill you over your government taxes. The training exercises include building entry, the use of weapons, and others.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the IRS is looking for new agents — including armed and fit federal tax agents who are “willing to use deadly force” according to the job posting.

The duties also include “willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.”

The job is open to US citizens, nationals or those who owe allegiance to the US.

Major Duties

Adhere to the highest standards of conduct, especially in maintaining honesty and integrity.

Work a minimum of 50 hours per week, which may include irregular hours, and be on-call 24/7, including holidays and weekends.

Maintain a level of fitness necessary to effectively respond to life-threatening situations on the job.

Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.

Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.

There are 300 openings nationwide, as listed on USAJobs.gov. The expected salary is $50,704 – $89,636 per year.

On Thursday, Valiant News published another expose, this one about an internal report from the IRS that allegedly showed agents practicing an assault on a suburban home while heavily armed.

From the 2021 IRS Annual Report:

IRS:CI SPECIAL AGENTS are among the most highly trained financial investigators in the world. They begin their training at the National Criminal Investigation Training Academy (NCITA). NCITA is located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Brunswick, Georgia.

New special agents complete six months of training, which begins with an 11-week Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP) run by FLETC. CITP covers topics common to all federal law enforcement agents, including basic criminal investigation skills, federal criminal law, courtroom procedures, enforcement operations, interviewing skills, and firearms training.

Following CITP, new special agent trainees take a 14-week NCITA Special Agent Investigative Techniques (SAIT) course. The SAIT program trains new agents in tax law, evidence gathering, interviewing, report writing, methods of proving unreported income, and money laundering violations. It also provides physical fitness conditioning and use of force training, which includes firearms, weaponless tactics, and building entry.

In addition to SAIT, NCITA assists in providing advanced training to special agents in use of force, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, and building entry.

US National Archives Refutes Trump's Claims That Obama Took Classified Docs With Him

The FBI conducted an unprecedented search of Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, earlier this week. Although it is yet unclear what the FBI was searching for, reports have connected the search warrant to the National Archives' request to look into whether Trump breached the law by taking sensitive documents with him earlier.

The US National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) released a statement on Friday in an effort to refute claims regarding former President Barack Obama's presidential records after former President Donald Trump and his supporters in conservative circles claimed that his predecessor was able to take large numbers of documents with him after he left office.

"NARA moved approximately 30 million pages of unclassified records to a NARA facility in the Chicago area where they are maintained exclusively by NARA," the archives said in a statement. "Additionally, NARA maintains the classified Obama Presidential records in a NARA facility in the Washington, DC, area. As required by the [Presidential Records Act] PRA, former President Obama has no control over where and how NARA stores the Presidential records of his Administration."

Following the Monday raid, Trump and some conservative commentators questioned Obama's alleged decision to move White House records to Chicago, Illinois, for his presidential library.

"What happened to the 30 million pages of documents taken from the White House to Chicago by Barack Hussein Obama? He refused to give them back!" Trump wrote in a Thursday post on his Truth Social platform. "What is going on? This act was strongly at odds with NARA. Will they be breaking into Obama's 'mansion' in Martha's Vineyard?"

In addition, the former president's son, Donald Trump Jr., allegedly cited the op-ed in the New York Post as justification for the claims.

Obama's papers, numbering in the tens of thousands, were indeed shipped to Chicago. However, as NARA pointed out, these materials were delivered to a federal government institution, as is the custom with presidential records.

Since all of these items are actually the property of the American people, federal law mandates that presidents and their administrations maintain a thorough archive of communications, papers, and even gifts from their time in office.

Obama's papers were legally transferred to the National Archives, which then started the laborious process of going through them before the public could request them years later. Some of this information would then be provided to Obama's presidential library, as required by law.

Aside from the drawn-out procedures, Obama's presidential library will deviate from tradition in that the Obama Foundation will pay for the digitization of the unclassified records in an effort to democratize access to them. This will be the "first digital archives for the first digital president," according to The New York Times.

However, five years after the conclusion of Obama's presidency and the start of the record transfer, the items from the records transferred to his presidential library still have reportedly not been digitized and made publicly accessible.

Though the delay has aroused some ire from historians and critics, the actual transfer of the records, let alone the labor of digitizing over 30 million papers to be made available online, frequently takes years, Business Insider claimed in a report.

CORRUPT Maricopa County Supervisors Ask Judge To Sanction Trump-Endorsed Mark Finchem and Kari Lake Over Lawsuit To Ban Voting Machines

The corrupt Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has asked a federal court to sanction Trump-Endorsed Mark Finchem and Trump-Endorsed Kari Lake for filing a lawsuit to ban electronic voting machines in Arizona.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Trump-Endorsed Republican nominee for Secretary of State Mark Finchem and Trump-endorsed Republican nominee for Arizona Governor Kari Lake are seeking “civil rights action for declaratory and injunctive relief to prohibit the use of electronic voting machines in the State of Arizona.”

The County is rooting for Democrats to win in the General Election. County Supervisor RINO Bill Gates recently went on record to suggest that the GOP needs to LOSE in the general election.

This explains exactly why they are weaponizing the legal process against Trump-Endorsed MAGA Republicans.

The motion filed by the County claims, “Plaintiffs’ and their counsels’ use of the Court to further a disinformation campaign and false narrative concerning the integrity of the election process in Arizona by asserting demonstrably false allegations is repugnant.”

The full forensic audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 Election discovered massive cybersecurity issues and hundreds of thousands of fraudulent, illegal, or questionable ballots. Auditors also discovered that the voting system was illegally connected to the internet, the system was breached during the 2020 Election, and files were deleted before the 22-month statutory deadline.

We reported on bombshell footage revealing the identities of the employees who deleted elections files.

How can we trust the unscrupulous election employees counting our votes with these shady machines?

We recently reported on testimony from an Arizona IT expert, which revealed these machines could be hacked in minutes and have wireless internet capabilities.

The federal Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) also released a report on Dominion Voting Machines, confirming these massive vulnerabilities and potential for hacking exist.

Disregarding all evidence presented by these reports, the County continues, “This improper use of the courts is unacceptable, detrimental to the entire election process, subjects election officials and workers to threatening and harassing conduct, and violates Rule 11. Accordingly, this court should issue sanctions against Plaintiffs and their counsel to deter future filings of similarly frivolous lawsuits.”

KTAR reported,

The motion, filed July 18 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, says an April 22 suit that asks a federal judge to bar the use of tabulation equipment in the 2022 elections is “demonstrably false.”

Democrat House passes $737 billion climate and healthcare package without full CBO score of cost

The CBO confirmed to GOP lawmakers on Friday that $20 billion will be collected under the bill from those earning under $400,000, which Republicans say breaks a key Biden promise

The Democrat-led House passed a climate and healthcare spending bill on Friday without a full Congressional Budget Office score of the legislation's cost.

The CBO confirmed to GOP lawmakers on Friday that $20 billion will be collected under the bill from those earning less than $400,000 per year through new audits, according to House GOP Whip Steve Scalise. Republicans argue that $20 billion breaks President Biden's promise not to raise taxes on households making less than $400,000 annually.

The CBO said on Thursday it needed more time to score the full cost of the legislation.

Democratic leaders estimated the the legislation would cost $737 billion. It includes hundreds of billions for the Democrats' climate change agenda, expanded Obamacare subsidies and funding to lower prescription drug costs. It extends the $7,500 electric vehicle purchase tax credit, adds $80 billion in federal funding for IRS tax collection, and imposes a 15% corporate minimum tax and a 1% fee on stock buybacks.

House Democrats blocked a GOP amendment to the bill on Friday that would have prevented the IRS from using the $80 billion to hire up to 87,000 new agents over the next 10 years.

Democrats passed the bill using budget reconciliation to avoid the filibuster in the 50-50 Senate. The bill passed with Vice President Kamala Harris as the tie-breaker in the Senate. It received 220 votes from Democrats in the House.

PATEL: The FBI Doesn’t Seem To Care Enough To Explain Their Trump Raid

From the moment Donald Trump came down the escalator to formally step onto the political stage, America’s leading establishment figures have misjudged what was happening. Most still refuse to think deeply about what drove such massive popularity for Trump. Some of it was his focus on issues, such as extended wars in the Middle East and a lack of border security, where there was a growing chasm between voters’ desires and politicians’ priorities. The biggest part, though, was a growing mistrust felt by many Americans for their political leaders altogether. There are still so many open questions about the FBI’s raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home this week, but one thing for sure is it reinforced the feeling many Americans have that the system is rigged. The Biden Justice Department, in other words, just reinforced the sentiment that brought Trump to power in the first place.

All of this, like so many of America’s recent problems, could have been avoided. How about an explanation? Did Attorney General Merrick Garland even consider the damage he would do by raiding a popular ex-president’s home with no explanation whatsoever? It’s as if those running America are trying to drive a huge swath of voters away from any trust in the system.

Raiding an ex-president’s home is a truly historic act. It’s unprecedented. Anyone planning such an act had to know the firestorm that would follow. To choose to do so without at least justifying the need in some detail is to purposely enrage a huge number of already disaffected voters. Where does this all end? The constant escalation is putting America on course for disaster.

If the DOJ had a strong reason to raid Trump’s home, then they had an obligation to state it. Not doing so fits a strong pattern of federal law enforcement entering the political arena and causing major damage. To be fair, Democrats drove this most recent abuse, but both sides have been doing their best to criminalize political disputes for decades now. Innocent people are harmed each time. Regular people’s desire to serve and to trust those in power has been diminished each time.

Nothing exemplifies this better than the pretext the DOJ has given without any real explanation. The search and seizure was about classified documents removed from the White House, they say. Trump already had the authority to declassify documents when he was president. If he really removed classified material without declassifying them, then he shouldn’t have. But even in that case, it would not be enough to justify a full-fledged FBI raid on the home of a former president and the top potential political rival of the current president. Republicans are certainly being hypocritical after the “lock her up” chants directed to Hillary Clinton for alleged violations of handling classified materials, but that also does not justify an FBI raid of this unprecedented nature. Democrats who defended Clinton when she had classified information in her home are no less hypocritical for now arguing that a classified records violation justifies a mafia-style FBI raid.

China-Controlled TikTok Accused of Using Child Porn for ‘Training’: Trafficking Survivor Speaks Out

Multiple sources from inside TikTok are saying the same thing — the fastest-growing social media platform in the world has a child pornography problem.

TikTok and its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, came under intense scrutiny after an Aug. 4 report from Forbes detailed the testimony of two former TikTok moderators.

According to the moderators, the platform saves uncensored, sexually explicit images and videos of children, distributing them to employees for training purposes. Essentially, the videos and images are used to show moderators what illegal content looks like.

Former TikTok moderator Whitney Turner and others said employees of the company and Teleperformance, a third-party firm that moderates its content, were given access to a spreadsheet with “hundreds” of images of children who were naked or being abused.

“I was moderating and thinking: This is someone’s son. This is someone’s daughter. And these parents don’t know that we have this picture, this video, this trauma, this crime saved,” Turner told Forbes.

“If parents knew that, I’m pretty sure they would burn TikTok down,” she said.

Forbes reported that a spokesman for Teleperformance said the company “does not use videos featuring explicit content of child abuse in training, and said it does not store such material in its ‘calibration tools,’ but would not clarify what those tools are or what they do. He declined to answer a detailed list of other questions regarding how many people have access to child sexual abuse material through the [daily required reading] and how Teleperformance safeguards this imagery.”

TikTok’s child porn and abuse problem doesn’t stop there, however.

In 2021, the platform reported 154,618 instances of child sexual abuse material, child sex trafficking and online enticement to the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children.

“That would be about [the number] I’d expect but it still should be more,” Eliza Bleu told The Western Journal. “Each report can contain any number of images or videos. For instance, 1 report can contain 15k images. That information is not public.”

Few do more to cover the human trafficking crisis than Bleu, a human trafficking survivor advocate and a survivor herself. She believes the accusations made against TikTok are authentic and should be investigated “immediately.”

“Under no circumstances would any type of child sexual abuse material or child sexual exploitation material need to be saved for a tech company to do training,” Bleu said in a series of messages to The Western Journal. “A platform shouldn’t re-exploit the exploited for ‘training’ purposes or any purpose for that matter. This imagery haunts these survivors. The worst moments of their lives are not a training manual.”

TikTok is far from the only platform to be accused of allowing the sexual exploitation of women and children.

Other social media sites also have been criticized for not doing enough to remove illegal sexual content from their platforms. Twitter, for example, has been sued on multiple occasions for allegedly not removing child porn promoted by its users.

According to Bleu, this is the result of a misalignment of priorities. Social media sites such as Twitter are more concerned with “controlling the narrative” and “censorship of words and ideas” than with removing illegal sexual content, she said.

Until accountability is found, however, Bleu urged parents to “discuss internet safety with their children including the risks of sextortion.”

“That way perhaps we could stop some of these crimes from happening in the first place,” she wrote.

When it comes to the survivors of TikTok’s alleged malfeasance, Bleu offered some advice as well.
