Former President Donald Trump sent a message to Attorney General Merrick Garland shortly before Garland’s Thursday comments about the raid on Trump’s estate in the Mar-a-Lago community in South Florida, according to a new report. House GOP Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania revealed Sunday that he was told his life was 'in danger' amid fallout from the FBI's unannounced search of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. Fitzpatrick, a former FBI agent himself, told CBS News' Face The Nation he was threatened by 'some of the same people' who are heaping verbal attacks against federal law enforcement in the wake of the raid. He also urged lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to 'reserve judgment and not get ahead of yourself' on whether the documents seized by federal officers from Mar-a-Lago meant Trump was guilty of any crimes.

I want to take a minute and express something very important to me that’s separate from the seriousness of the Pit.

Although the Pit had a very direct purpose for us coming, something else happened as a result — the opportunity for us to meet, in the flesh, fellow digital soldiers who have been working tirelessly together in the trenches for years. I am in true awe of the sheer brilliance, willpower and determination that each one of them brings to the table.

Never forget we were born for this moment. Together we are far more powerful than we may ever realize. I witnessed a glimpse of that power this weekend as I saw patriots unite in all different forms for this next phase of war — those who attended in person, thousands who watched from afar and many who are still ready and waiting for further instruction on what to do next — all of this ultimately proving that together we are a force to be reckoned with.

I will never forget this experience and it has only strengthened my resolve to fight for this amazing country that we each hold so dear. I am so proud to know that there are far too many of us that refuse to see her fall and I have absolute faith that we will do all that needs to be done in order to bring her back to its full glory.

I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute in any way that I can to restore this beautiful country to its full potential. And more importantly, I am so humbled to have met the amazing people that I have along the way.

I am truly amongst modern day warriors.
