All but one of the states overcounted is a blue state, and all but one of the undercounted states is red. Those costly errors will distort congressional representation and the Electoral College. Well, this is lovely. WEF & others have decided we all need saving from ourselves online.
So they’re designing & implementing an AI-based system which will decide what’s misinformation, child abuse, security threats etc & presumably take down, mute or otherwise limit the spread of whatever, under its dispassionate eyes, is harmful or inappropriate.
Though overall, I regard what’s happening as closer to Huxley’s Brave New World than any other totalitarian climate, not even being able to write certain things for fear of triggering the masses is fundamentally 1984.
This is an example of something which, even before the Covid era, each national parliament would be close to powerless over decisions made by unelected & unaccountable people and which directly impinges on constitutional & other rights which theoretically such legislatures must defend. Good luck with that one.

Bishop Rolando Álvarez had been confined to his residence for two weeks along with five priests, a semanarian, and a cameraman of a religious televison channel. The Priests and cameraman have reportedly been put in prison in the Capital, while the Bishop is under house arrest. A Police statement said authorities had been waiting for several days for what they called a positive communication from the Diocese of Matagalpa, which had not been forthcoming. No formal charges have been announced.

The final destinations for the grain are not confirmed and discussions continue, David Beasley said. But the planned shipment, one of several the U.N. agency that fights hunger is pursuing, is more than six times the amount of grain that the first WFP-arranged ship from Ukraine is now carrying toward people in the Horn of Africa at risk of starvation.

A little known story involving the obsolete 'Betamax' videotape technology: A young software designer named Bill Gates took inspiration from his good friend Kazuhiko 'Kay' Nishi, a Japanese engineer who worked on Betamax patents with Sony.
Gates, working on computer Operating Systems at the time, learned about software patents, licensing and litigation. Gates designed Microsoft Windows to be closed-source and heavy handed with licensing … consumers would never know what was in the software source code of Windows.
