The outlet continued: That’s according to a new survey published on Thursday by consultant PwC, which last month polled more than 700 U.S. executives and board members from various industries. About half of respondents said they are preparing to reduce headcount — or already have — while 52% have implemented hiring freezes. I think we probably all cheered when Brian Stelter got the boot the other day from CNN. When Warner Media merged with Discovery, it made the new entity Warner Bros Discovery. One of the biggest investors in that new company, now the parent company of CNN, is John Malone. Malone indicated that they want to get back to the “journalism that it started with, and actually have journalists.” That of course would be incompatible with Stelter, which is why he’s gone.But the word is they’re not done with the purge yet. Meaning Shao Guojun not only turns up on a 2012 patent with Eugene Yu and Konnech Inc. in the United States, but his name also appears on a Chinese voting technology patent transferred from Jinhua Konnech Inc. to Jinhua Hongzheng Technology Co. in 2015.
Hongzheng Tech. actively builds hardware and software for China's National People's Congress and is partnered with Lenovo, Huawei, China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile.
A 2020 Chinese news article says that Hongzheng Tech. has "hired Mr. Yu Jianwei, well-known in the international election field, as the company’s technical and business consultant."
Yu Jianwei is the Chinese name for Eugene Yu.
Eugene Yu is the CEO of Konnech Inc., a Michigan tech company that designs software and hardware to administer elections in Australia, Canada, and the United States.

Sixty percent of Democrats view outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) favorably amid potential presidential campaign ambitions, a YouGov poll found this week. After Cheney lost the Wyoming Republican primary by nearly 40 points on Tuesday, the next day she announced she is considering a presidential bid in 2024. Perhaps Cheney’s best hope of winning the presidency is with Democrat voters because her favorability among Democrats far outweighs her support among Republicans and independents.
