Why has France shut down over 50% of it's nuclear reactors?

This is an interesting question I stumbled upon researching uranium futures for a different dig. What makes it more interesting is that France produces over half of it's power from nuclear plants, so it's not like a couple boutique reactors got turned off…over half.

Different excuses here and there, but the net is the same. It makes me wonder if they don't need the power and won't need the power bc of population control…kind of like maybe the engineered famine isn't a planned famine, but supply reduction do to decreased planned demand.

Idk, just throwing this out there. Sum Ting Wong.

Funny how none of us here everyday year-in-year-out know wtf they're talking about..

Just making stuff up like always…it's kind of flattering in a way that we live so large in their heads rent free.
