In 1942 a book by Lloyd C. Douglas titled "The Robe" was published. A popular book.
On page 109 the 'casting of lots' are noted by the author as one character throwing 'double 3's, a second throws 4 and 5 and the winning throw by the Centurion is double 6's.
I had never researched this book…in the film adaptation of 1952, the Centurion throws 17. TWICE.
Kinda strange to stumble across this odd gem.
