Think I found our 2nd banner North of the RAF Air Memorial close to TATTERSHALL CASTLE.

A guy who spent the evening aboard TATTS posted some pics to Flickr from the front of the restaurant and from the bow of the restaurant ship.

Posting a couple here. I did not do well with copying pics from the site. I highly recommend anons visit the page. There are some nice pics.

In the last bread, you had mentioned Horse Guards as a possible banner location and I corrected you and said, No, Richmond Terrace.

At the time I was focused on the only overhead high vantage pic I had seen. Well now is time for ne to withdraw that correction to your mention of HORSE GUARDS as the location of the banner because there was one at HG on NYE 2013. Maybe anon had seen a sauce I had yet to see but just recently noticed. Apologies.

So now we have two banners; RICHMOND and HORSE GUARDS. Same symbols except when viewed from their North-facing sides they have arrows directing people up Richmond Terrace and Horse Guards for transportation. Though, seen the other side of the HG banner yet. So don’t know if its arrow(s) point toward Northumberland or not.

The RICHMOND banner points up VICTORIA EMBANKMENT toward HORSE GUARDS and, we assume, NORTHUMBERLAND.

I will only make the obs that none of the banners said anything about CHARRING CROSS station being closed.

Looks like purple mood lighting for a NYE exclusive party. And btw, looks like security in front of TATTS which I would have expected to see more people booked for. But the pics were obviously some taken early and throughout the evening. Still, seemed no super-crowd willing to pay for a ticket.

Anon, can you work any magic on the right side of that new banner? I only recognize a black arrow pointing left and a restroom symbol. Everything to the right seems not like the other banners.

This new banner has a black square on the right with definite white lettering but it’s unreadable to me. One of the other banners had a black square also. The one at Richmond Terrace, but I thought they were just using the black square to hide an arrow that was pointing right or something. Will look back and see if can make out lettering.

Am just referring to banners by their streets as: RICHMOND, HORSE GUARDS and NORTHUMBERLAND okay?

Not sure they would have done the signage moar than a day before NYE. Imho, it could depend on who is placing the signs. A city crew would likely do it on a weekday. A private crew, probly day before in the wee hours on the 30th a.m.

That’s great though about getting the CH series bookends in line with EMB if you did not see the first-aid sign in that vid.
