I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Reading abou the SCOTUS ruling on the North Carolina voting issues, the following was in the article at https://conservativebrief.com/created-65771

The two amendments at issue in the case were the voter ID amendment, as well as another amendment preventing the state income tax from ever being raised above 7%.The amendments were passed by a three-fifths majorityof both chambers of the legislature; but the voter ID amendmentonly passed by two votes in the state Houseof Representatives and three in the Senate; the tax cap amendmentpassed by just one vote in the House and four votes in the Senate.

Did my homework and found that NC House has 120 members, and the NC Senate has 50 members. So 3/5 majority in each is 72/48 and 30/20 respectively.

So how the fuck do you say in one sentence, the amendments passed by 3/5, then say in the next they passed by very narrow majorities?

Do they even know arithmetic in NC?
