>>17431869 @realDonaldTrump “EXCLUSIVE: January 6 Committee Hired Consultant Who May Have ‘Huge’ Conflict Of Interest”

EXCLUSIVE: January 6 Committee Hired Consultant Who May Have ‘Huge’ Conflict Of Interest

The Jan. 6 Committee hired an investigative consultant who could have a major “conflict of interest,” watchdogs told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Brian Young is a senior financial investigator at the consultancy Polar Solutions Inc and a contractor for the Jan. 6 Committee, according to his LinkedIn profile and an internal congressional document obtained by the DCNF. But he is also married to House Deputy Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA) Kim E. Campbell, the second most senior official in the SAA, which like the U.S. Capitol Police is being probed by the committee for security failures in connection to the Capitol riot.

The relationship could pose “a huge conflict of interest” if Young’s work involves reviewing the performance of the SAA or Capitol Police, according to Tom Jones, executive director of the watchdog American Accountability Foundation.

“Young needs to come clean about what he is doing for the J6 Committee,” Jones told the DCNF. “There is no way a husband can give an independent and objective assessment of his wife’s performance.”

The House and Senate SAA offices coordinate with U.S. Capitol Police and are responsible for maintaining Capitol security, protecting members and overseeing emergency management. The Jan. 6 Committee is investigating “the sharing of intelligence” between federal, state and local agencies with the SAA offices and Capitol Police with regard to the Capitol riot, according to its website.

The committee is also probing the House SAA and other government offices’ “systems for monitoring” intelligence on or before Jan. 6 and plans to issue both an interim and final report on its findings, conclusions and recommendations “for corrective measures.”Former House SAA Paul Irving, who resigned one day after the Capitol riot, testified before the committee in February 2021 that “more has to be done” to ensure better security for the U.S. Capitol. (I bet he helped organize the insurrection of antifa, etc, why would he resign?)

Polar Solutions was paid over $93,000 in December 2021 and January 2022, according to House disbursement records. Through his job at Polar Solutions, Young provides “professional services and expertise to the Legislative Branch for Law Enforcement, National Defense and National Security,” according to his LinkedIn. ($93,000 per month???? WTF)

For this committee to utilize, in any capacity, a consultant who is literally married to a high ranking official within the SAA’s office is highly inappropriate,” Republican South Carolina Rep. Ralph Norman told the DCNF.

Young also at one point allegedly wrote an email to Campbell in connection to his official investigative duties with the Jan. 6 Committee, a congressional source who was briefed by a colleague on the matter told the DCNF. The DCNF did not review the contents of the alleged email.

“If it is true that he communicated with his wife about a matter involving her office, this is Ethics Conflicts 101,” Michael Chamberlain, director of the watchdog Protect the Public’s Trust, told the DCNF. “The reason ethics laws were enacted in the first place was to prevent precisely this type of conflict of interest from impacting government activities.”

“It also raises the question of how he was even allowed to be in the position where this type of conflict could exist,” said Chamberlain. “Why would those in charge of such a high profile and controversial committee jeopardize the credibility of their investigation like this? It certainly does not add to the committee’s already questionable efforts.”

The Jan. 6 Committee did not respond to a request for comment, nor did the House SAA office, Campbell or Young. Polar Solutions did not respond.

>>17432013 =Twitter fucked themselves, because Musk's withdrawal letter specifically said terminating high level executive was a violation of the contract==

Update (0945ET): Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has sent a message to staff this morning about WaPo's whistleblower story, according to CNN's Donnie O'Sullivan.

Agrawal's message to staff reads:

Team,

There are news reports outlining claims about Twitter's privacy, security, and data protection practices that were made byMudge Zatko, a former Twitter executive who was terminated in January 2022 for ineffective leadership and poor performance. We are reviewing the redacted claims that have been published, but what we've seen so far is a false narrative that is riddled with inconsistencies and inaccuracies, and presented without important context…

Update (0850ET): Following the Washington Post's story on the Twitter whistleblower complaint, Elon Musk's legal team said they want to interview the former head of security Peiter Zatko.

CNN's Donnie O'Sullivan tweeted moments ago that Musk's lawyer Alex Spiro wants to speak with the Twitter whistleblower:

"We have already issued a subpoena for Mr. Zatko, and we found his exit and that of other key employees curious in light of what we have been finding."

One day after Elon Musk's legal team subpoenaed former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey as part of an ongoing effort to fight a lawsuit by the social media company to force the billionaire to move forward with the $44 billion acquisition deal. The Washington Post released a new report alleging executives deceived federal regulators and the company's board about "extreme, egregious deficiencies" to combat hackers.

WaPo cited a whistleblower complaint from the former head of security Peiter Zatko who said some of the company's servers are running out-of-date software, and executives withheld critical information about data breaches. Bezo's news outlet interviewed more than a dozen current and former employees about past deficiencies.

The complaint was filed last month with the SEC, DoJ, and FTC. It said thousands of employees had access to core company software, which led to data breaches and hacks of high-profile users.

WaPo said the whistleblower document alleges executives prioritized user growth over reducing spam and rewarded executives cash bonuses up to $10 million to increase the number of daily users.

The complaint noted Chief Executive Parag Agrawal was "lying" when he said in May the company was "strongly incentivized to detect and remove as much spam as we possibly can."

In a WaPo interview, Zatko said his decision to reveal Twitter's failures to the public is an extension of his previous work exposing security flaws within the company.

"I felt ethically bound. This is not a light step to take," said Zatko, who was fired by Agrawal in January. He declined to discuss what happened at Twitter, except to stand by the formal complaint. Under SEC whistleblower rules, he is entitled to legal protection against retaliation, as well as potential monetary rewards. -WaPo

Musk letter to Twitter

Finally, Twitter also did not comply with its obligations under Section 6.1 of the Merger Agreement to seek and obtain consent before deviating from its obligation to conduct its business in the ordinary course and “preserve substantially intact the material components of its current business organization.”

Twitter’s conduct in firing two key, high-ranking employees, its Revenue Product Lead and the General Manager of Consumer, as well as announcing on July 7 that it was laying off a third of its talent acquisition team, implicates the ordinary course provision.

Twitter has also instituted a general hiring freeze which extends even to reconsideration of outstanding job offers. Moreover, three executives have resigned from Twitter since the Merger Agreement was signed: the Head of Data Science, the Vice President of Twitter Service, and a Vice President of Product Management for Health, Conversation, and Growth.

The Company has not received Parent’s consent for changes in the conduct of its business, including for the specific changes listed above. The Company’s actions therefore constitute a material breach of Section 6.1 of the Merger Agreement.

Federal Official Had “Blessing of Biden” in Authorizing FBI Raid on Mar-a-Lago

by Space Worm,Tuesday, Aug 23, 2022 - 12:54

Jon Solomon’s Just the News recently obtained a letter between National Archivist Debra Stiedel Wall and Trump’s legal teamshowing Biden’s tacit support for the FBI’s investigation into Trump.

The documents in question had been examined by and temporarily in possession of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) as early as January of 2022, when they “arranged for the transport from the Trump Mar-a-Lago property in Florida to the National Archives of 15 boxes that contained Presidential records, following discussions with President Trump’s representatives in 2021,” according to NBC News.

Then in April, presumably after returning these materials back into Trump’s possession, Wall writes Trump’s defense attorney Evan Corcoran, “In its initial review of materials within those boxes, NARA identified items marked as classified national security information.” Wall then informs Corcoran that the FBI would like access to the documents.Given the supposed sensitivity of the documents, it seems strange that NARA returned them to Trump before completing their review. Cocoran requested time to determine whether Trump intended to exercise executive privilege on specified materials. (the trap was set by he sending them back)

"We have requested the ability to review the documents," Corcoran wrote to both NARA and White House Deputy Counsel on April 29. “We would respectfully request that you restrict access to the documents until we have had the opportunity to review the documents and to consult with President Donald J. Trump so that he may personally make any decision to assert a claim of constitutionally based privilege.”

According to Just the News, “Wall informed Corcoran that she had the blessing of Biden to overrule those privilege claimsand share all materials requested by the DOJ and FBI.”

From the letter: "The Counsel to the President has informed me that, in light of the particular circumstances presented here,President Biden defers to my determination, in consultation with the Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel, regarding whether or not I should uphold the former President's purported 'protective assertion of executive privilege,'" Wall wrote. "… I have therefore decided not to honor the former President's 'protective' claim of privilege." (so some low level archivist has the authority to over President's executive privildge?)

Shortly after Wall’s letter was sent, the DOJ issued a subpoena prompting the FBI to visit Mar-a-Lago on June 3 who granted access voluntarily by Trump. The FBI seized a portion of the materials and instructed Trump to lock the remaining boxes in a storage room, an order Trump complied with according to a Fox News source.

A quick reminder that when Hillary Clinton was subpoenaed to produce the contents of her private email server, her response was far from compliant. She denied ever receiving a subpoena, told the FBI she could not locate any of the requested 13 mobile devices, deleted 33,000 emails from her personal server, and joked about all of this publicly! Somehow this behavior did not result in a search warrant and raid of her summer home in Chappaqua, NY.

Can you imagine if Trump had burned the documents after learning of the subpoena and claiming to have ‘misplaced’ them?

Litigation By Leak: Government Officials Drop New Details On Mar-a-Lago Raid While Continuing To Oppose Disclosures In CourtTuesday, Aug 23, 2022 - 09:44 AM Authored by Jonathan Turley,

One of the most glaring contradictions in the Mar-a-Lago controversy has been the Justice Department demanding absolute and unwavering secrecy over the FBI raid while officials have been leaking details on the raid.

The latest example is a report in the New York Times that the Justice Department recovered more than 300 documents with classified markings, citing multiple sources connected to the investigation.

Most judges would be a tad annoyed by the contradiction as the government continues to frame the public debate with its own selective leaks while using secrecy to bar other disclosures. That includes sections of the affidavit that detail the communications with the Trump team, information that is already known to the target.

Someone is clearly lying. The Trump Team said that it was cooperating and would have given access to the government if it raised further objections. The Justice Department has clearly indicated that time was of the essence to justify this unprecedented raid on the home of a former president. Yet, Attorney General Merrick Garland reportedly waited for weeks to sign off on the application for a warrant and the FBI then waited a weekend to execute that warrant. It is difficult to understand why such communications could not be released in a redacted affidavit while protecting more sensitive sections.

The latest leak to to the New York Times offers details on what was gathered from Mar-a-Lago. Officials state that they collected more than 150 documents marked as classified in January with another 150 being gathered in June and then in the August raid.

Washington has long floated on a sea of leaks but this is notable in that the government is opposing even modest disclosures from the court while it has steadily leaked details to its own advantage.

It undermines the credibility of the government and raises questions of the motivations behind the absolute secrecy claims.

The level of detail is extraordinary including the very account of past dealings that some of us have argued could be released in the affidavit. The leaks describe the June meeting in Mar-a-Lago and reveals that Jay Bratt, the chief of the counterespionage section of the national security division of the Justice Department, met with two of Mr. Trump’s lawyers, Evan Corcoran and Christina Bobb. He then went through the boxes himself to identify classified material.

This information is likely contained in the affidavit, which the Justice Department claimed could not be released without harming its investigation and endangering national security.

The New York Times story then affirms the position of the Justice Department as proven by the leaks.

“[T}he extent to which such a large number of highly sensitive documents remained at Mar-a-Lago for months, even as the department sought the return of all material that should have been left in government custody when Mr. Trump left office, suggested to officials that the former president or his aides had been cavalier in handling it, not fully forthcoming with investigators, or both.”

It is litigation by leak where the government prevents others (including the target) from seeing key representations made to the court while releasing selective facts to its own advantage. It shows utter contempt for the court and the public. The question is whether the court will take note of this series of leaks. Most judges do not like to be played so openly and publicly by government officials. Moreover, the leaks should push Garland to reverse course as suggested in a recent column and order substantive disclosures in the affidavit in light of the government’s prior leaks.

Biden’s Pentagon Again Rejects D.C. Mayor’s Request for National Guard to Handle Illegal Immigration Influx

(Boo hoo, Bowser gets turned down again in NG, that was her excuse as “optics” for not having them there at J6)

President Joe Biden’s Pentagon has again rejected a request from Washington, DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) to activate the National Guard to help with an influx of illegal immigration.

In a request earlier this month, Bowser asked Biden’s Department of Defense to deploy the D.C. National Guard after her last request was rejected by the administration. The request comes as Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has carried out his plan that buses border crossers and illegal aliens to the nation’s most dangerous sanctuary cities.

Biden’s Pentagon has again rejected the request, the Associated Press reports:

According to a copy of a letter to the city reviewed by The Associated Press, the Defense Department said use of the D.C. National Guard would be inappropriate and would hurt the overall readiness of the troops, forcing some to cancel or disrupt military training. [Emphasis added]

The letter said the department also is concerned about putting uniformed military members in direct contact with migrants to provide food, sanitation or other support, saying the troops have no real experience or training for that mission. [Emphasis added]

Previously, Biden officials said they are worried about “the optics” of pro-sanctuary city Democrats like Bowser sounding the alarm on illegal immigration.

In July, Bowser called Abbott’s migrant buses to D.C. a “tipping point” for Washington, DC, and in her recent National Guard request, she called the arrival of the buses a “crisis.”

More than a few thousand border crossers and illegal aliens have been bused to Washington, DC, since Abbott started the initiative. The figure, though, still pales in comparison to the level of illegal immigration seen by American border communities under Biden.

In Texas border towns alone, nearly 130,000 border crossers and illegal aliens were caught crossing the border in June. Last month, in the small town of Normandy, Texas — with a population of just 29 residents — a single group of about 400 border crossers and illegal aliens crossed into the area in one day.

Democrat Raphael Warnock Spent over $61K in Campaign Funds to Pay Child Support

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) has spent over $61,000 in campaign funds to pay for child support. The payments have not been without issue, however, as Warnock’s ex-wife Oulèye Ndoye has sued the Democrat to modify the custody arrangement with their children, as well as alleging Warnock had “failed and refused to reimburse” her for childcare expenses.

Ndoye alleges Warnock is in “willful contempt” of the childcare agreement and asks a judge to give her additional custody over the children as she moves to Massachusetts to complete a program at Harvard University. Warnock also allegedly spends little time with his children when he has them, leaving them often with nannies, and many of the campaign expenditures used for childcare go to Bright Start Nanny Services.

Far-Left Georgia Democrat Senate candidate Raphael Warnock's radicalism exposed: "Raphael Warnock celebrated Fidel Castro in his church. He has a Marxist ideology," stated Sen. Kelly Loeffler. https://t.co/35XqUrlyng

— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) November 12, 2020

The Georgia Democrat has allegedly been using his campaign to fund his childcare expenses since 2020, but appears to have stopped for a year soon after taking office in 2021. After Ndoye filed the complaint, which also cited his increased income due to becoming a Senator,Warnock resumed to pay for childcare out of the campaign’s pocket.

Since 2020, Warnock’s campaign has spent a total of $61,959.40 on childcare, according to FEC filings. FEC rules surrounding Warnock’s actions are unclear. Childcare payments are allowed by the FEC, but are typically used to pay for the care for a day trip or an overnight trip. It appears that Warnock is funding his childcare payments entirely through campaign funds.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Warnock spokesperson Meredith Brasher said the Senator is a “a devoted father who is proud to continue to co-parent his two children as he works for the people of Georgia.” Warnock has in the past been accused of diverting campaign funds to pay for personal expenses.

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz says Raphael Warnock's anti-Israel views could — and perhaps should — cost Democrats in Georgia and the Senate. https://t.co/dW9LYu6do6

— Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) November 18, 2020

As Breitbart News reported, the Peach State Democrat used campaign funds to pay for legal expenses in a personal lawsuit.

Warnock used campaign cash to cover the legal expenses for a lawsuit relating to his time as a church minister in 2005,” the report said. “The case was filed in 2019 by an Atlanta resident, Melvin Robertson, with allegations dating back to 2005.”

The FEC allows campaign money to be spent on “litigation expenses where the candidate/officeholder was the defendant and the litigation arose directly from campaign activity or the candidate’s status as a candidate,” but not on personal use.

These developments come as Warnock is running for a full, six-year term in Georgia — a race certain to be one of the most highly contested and watched battle in the 2022 midterms.

Anthony Fauci in Denial: ‘Scientists’ Are Not ‘the Polarizers

Dr. Anthony Fauci, who announced on Monday that he is conveniently leaving his high profile post in government following the midterm election, iscontinuing to play victim, asserting that “scientists” are not “the polarizers.”

In an interview with Axios, the chief White House medical adviser claimed that it is not he who thrust himself into a controversial spotlight. Rather, it was nothing more than the fact that he was “right in the eye of the hurricane of some very important emerging infectious disease outbreaks.” Throughout all of these diseases, including the Chinese coronavirus, he was simply aiming to “explain [the science] to the American public in a way and a form in a way they can really appreciate.”

While he believes he is replaceable, a boastful Fauci suggested that his replacement should be someone who is “adept at communicating to the public,” as he apparently believes that he is a prime example.

“Stick with the science, and try as best as you can to completely stay out of the political stuff. The political stuff will spill over into what you do … that’s unfortunate. But the scientists themselves must stay out of the politics,” Fauci said of his successor — remarkable advice given Fauci’s penchant for numerous TV appearances and ceremonial pitches, continually relishing in his celebrity status.

Yet, in Fauci’s eyes, he has done nothing wrong, accusing critics of distorting facts — a great irony, given Fauci’s many, many flip-flops throughout the pandemic. “When you have people who distort facts and create unreality and live by conspiracy theories, it isn’t the scientists who are the polarizers,” Fauci said, claiming that he is one of many who sticks “to the facts.”

“If people push back against the science and the evidence and create unreality, that’s the reason for the polarization,” he told Axios.

Notably, Fauci is no stranger to elevating himself and his status, once suggesting that questioning him is akin to questioning science itself.

Despite Fauci’s coming departure, Republican leaders have warned that he will still be subject to questioning on the origins of the virus if and when the GOP takes back the House.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) on Monday assured that a GOP-led House will “hold him accountable,” and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) assured that Fauci’s resignation “will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic.”

Dr. Fauci lost the trust of the American people when his guidance unnecessarily kept schools closed and businesses shut while obscuring questions about his knowledge on the origins of COVID.

Fauci’s resignation will not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He will be asked to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the lab leak.

— Rand Paul (@RandPaul) August 22, 2022

Fauci told CNN’s New Day that he is fine with oversight, although he believes Republicans are focused solely on “character assassination.” (as opposed to him he’s focused solely on the assassination of innocent Americans, children and beagles)

Fuck Fauci, there is nothing redeemable about this creepy freak!

Nolte: Brian Stelter Exits CNN with One Last Ratings Humiliation

John Nolte 23 Aug 2022

Brian Stelter, a proven fool, liar, and conspiracy theorist, could not even juice up the ratings for his final CNN show.

After nine years of lying to the public, of spreading violence, fascism, and blacklists, Stelter was fired last week, and his Sunday show Reliable Sources was canceled.

For some bizarre reason, after firing Stelter, CNNLOL allowed the perennial ratings loser to broadcast one final show. So, at least within the Twitter Bubble, there was a ton of attention around this final show. This was going to be Must-See TV, even if you only turned in to hate-watch.

Well, guess what happened? What happened was the worst thing that can happen to a sniveling bully like Stelter… No one watched because no one cared. According to the latest numbers, Stelter’s final Reliable Sources attracted only 769,000 viewers, which is fewer — fewer! Lol — than the nearly 800,000 who tuned in just two weeks ago. By comparison, the Fox News Channel’s media show, Media Buzz, nearly doubled Tater with 1.393 million viewers.

In the all-important 18-49 age demo, Stelter couldn’t even top 100,000 viewers. Only 96,460 tuned in, compared to 110,240 for Fox News.

Cable News Sunday Media Shows Aug 21@FoxNews dominated @CNN's left-wing opinion show, which aired it's final broadcast that went out on a whimper.

Total | Demo

11,393,000 | 110,240 @MediaBuzzFNC @HowardKurtz

2 769,000 | 96,460 @ReliableSources @BrianStelter pic.twitter.com/S3Q4lJ1CPj

— RoadMN 📈 (@RoadMN) August 23, 2022

In the 25-54 age demo, Media Buzz crushed Stelter by more than double, 220,000 viewers to 105,000.

Brian Stelter and CNN now matter so little, are so inconsequential, no one’s even turning to hate-watch them anymore. CNN’s non-stop trolling of the political right and Trump supporters is so old and tired that everyone’s decided to tune them out. That’s how little influence corporate media now have. We just don’t care even more. So think about this: one of CNN’s biggest trolls and villains is about to deliver his last words, and no one cares.

But wait, the news gets even better… Although Stelter’s series finale was a ratings humiliation, it was still the highest-rated CNN show on Sunday:

The series finale of CNN's @ReliableSources with @brianstelter was the network's most-watched hour Sunday (769K), beating CNN primetime shows and outdrawing everything on MSNBC, too. (This wasn't atypical: RS was often among CNN's most-watched Sunday shows in recent years.)

— TVMoJoe (@TVMoJoe) August 23, 2022

Stelter is a loser. He has no constituency, no following. He’s so boring, smug, and predictable that the world collectively shrugs at his very existence. Our corporate media overlords love to be loved and love to be hated. What they cannot live with is being ignored. So, good job, America. Keep right on ignoring these Nazis.
