Jesus did not consider himself "God". The same people who put Jesus to death, wrote the prevailing stories about Jesus' life.

We may never know the truth about Jesus, but the values that are the result of his teachings, not his status as a Deity, are the same values that built this Nation. You will not convince someone who believes Jesus Christ is divine that he was not, but people like you, the ones who require logic and proof are only going to increase in number. In the interim, might I humbly suggest focusing on Christian values rather than the dogma. God may not interfere in our daily lives, that would violate free will, but that does not mean God does not speak to be understood, nor that God forsakes us when we humble ourselves and truly listen in earnest.

>If you meant instead, the values of the "Jesus" character, then I agree

Focus on this, and keep in mind that Christian Values are the values associated with Jesus Christ. Zealots will always demand their dogma be followed and will purposefully conflate the two, but they do not have a say in the deeply personal relationship that is between an Individual and our Creator.
