Corporations Cut Benefits to New Parents as They Increase Abortion Benefits
In the wake of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health decision, which returned abortion policy back to the states, we saw a rash of corporations pledging to pay for abortion-related travel for employees. Some companies even offered to pay to relocate employees out of states that have pledged to restrict abortion.
While it’s easy to view the move toward adding abortion benefits as a way for these corporations to cater to woke employees and customers, some critics have pointed out that these companies are also signaling that they don’t want their employees to take time off to have children.
“Under the guise of expanding ‘health care’ policies to better accommodate women, big businesses all over the nation are going to great and murderous lengths to ensure they don’t have to deal with pregnant employees and maternity leave,” wrote Jordan Boyd at The Federalist in June. “The approach exposes how corporations evaluate women’s worth and working potential based on the state of their wombs.”
It’s not enough that companies are going out of their way to add abortion benefits to their packages, but many corporations are also cutting maternity and paternity leave. The Wall Street Journal reported earlier this week that many of these same employers who have gone whole-hog on abortion care were cutting parental benefits even before the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In the two years leading up to 2020 when the pandemic hit, many companies were contending with hiring shortages and rolled out enriched perks, including more time off, as a way to lure new talent,” explain reporters Kathryn Dill and Angela Yang.
They go on to point out that “some employers are shrinking the amount of paid leave they offer new parents to the legally required minimums, which can range from nothing to eight or 12 weeks, depending on the region.”

Mark Zuckerberg tells Joe Rogan Facebook was wrong to ban The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story
The billionaire CEO of Meta said he regretted Facebook’s response to the Biden story during an appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast after the host pressed him to explain his views on how tech platforms should handle content moderation on sensitive subjects.
“When something like that turns out to be real, is there regret for not having it evenly distributed and for throttling the distribution of that story?” Rogan asked about The Post’s Hunter Biden scoop.
“Yeah, it sucks,” Zuckerberg said. “It turned out after the fact, the fact-checkers looked into it, no one was able to say it was false … I think it sucks, though, in the same way that probably having to go through a criminal trial but being proven innocent in the end sucks.”
He said the platform opted to limit sharing on the story — but not halt it entirely — after the FBI told Meta employees to be wary of Russian propaganda ahead of the election. More than 50 former senior intelligence officials signed on to a letter that claimed the laptop story “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”
“Our protocol is different than Twitter’s. What Twitter did is they said you can’t share this at all. We didn’t do that,” Zuckerberg said.
Rogan agreed that Facebook’s approach was “certainly much more reasonable than Twitter’s stance.” The podcast host also acknowledged the difficult decision facing social media platforms regarding politically sensitive stories ahead of an election.
“I just don’t think they looked at it hard enough. When the New York Post is talking about it, they’re pretty smart about what they release and what they don’t release,” Rogan said.
“For the five or seven days when it was basically being determined whether it was false, the distribution on Facebook was decreased, but people were still allowed to share it,” Zuckerberg added. “You could still share it, you could still consume it.”
While Zuckerberg acknowledged that Facebook had also reduced distribution of the report on its own platform, he tried to defend the process as “reasonable.”
“I think the process was pretty reasonable,” he added. “A lot of people were still able to share it,” “We got a lot of complaints that that was the case.
“This is a hyper-political issue, so depending on what side of the political spectrum, you either think we didn’t censor enough or censored it way too much, but we weren’t as black and white about it as Twitter,” he added.
The tech CEO also took thinly veiled swipes at Twitter, calling the rival social network’s ban overly “black and white.”
Twitter briefly suspended The Post’s account in 2020 after the laptop exposé revealed the existence of tens of thousands of emails between the president’s son and business associates. The emails revealed how Biden’s son leveraged his political access in his overseas business dealings.
Zuckerberg claimed that Facebook took a “different path than Twitter.” Republicans also have accused Facebook of suppressing conservative voices.

Children’s National Hospital Caught Admitting to Giving Children Under 16 Hysterectomies in Shocking Audio Recording
Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, has admitted that they give “gender affirming” hysterectomies to children under 16 years old.
After exposing this program taking place at Boston Children’s Hospital, the creator of the popular Libs of TikTok Twitter account came under severe fire from the left — who mostly opted to lie and say that it wasn’t actually happening.
They did this, despite the hospital having a video where they explained the procedure, clearly aimed at the parents of transgender minors.
“A gender-affirming hysterectomy is very similar to most hysterectomies that occur,” Dr. Frances Grimstad, an obstetrician-gynecologist, cheerfully stated. “A hysterectomy itself is the removal of the uterus, the cervix, which is the opening of the uterus, and the fallopian tubes, which are attached to the sides of the uterus.”
Hysterectomies are irreversible and sterilize the patient.
This set Chaya Raichik on a mission to find out how often this is really taking place, and where.
“Gender-affirming hysterectomies” was listed on the Children’s National Hospital website as a procedure they offer to children, but it was removed on the day that Raichik took the screenshot. Luckily, she archived it here.
“I thought perhaps this was just poor wording,” Raichik wrote on her Substack. “Maybe they actually refuse to perform hysterectomies on minors under the age of 18, but failed to make that clear on this page. So I decided to call and find out. What Children’s National told me shocked me to my core. In the above audio recording, Children’s National confirmed that they do, in fact, perform gender-affirming hysterectomies on 16-year-olds and ‘much younger’ children.”
In the audio released by Raichik on Thursday, she is heard calling the DC children’s hospital while pretending to be the mother of a 16-year-old that is transitioning to male and wants the procedure.
She is repeatedly told that not only will they perform the procedure on a 16-year-old, they also said that they have performed them on children who are “much younger.”

Democrat DC Mayor Bowser Announces Unvaccinated Students will Be Denied an Education – No Option For Virtual Learning
Democrat DC Mayor Muriel Bowser is denying unvaccinated students an education.
Unvaccinated students will not be allowed in school and there will not be an option for virtual learning.
Over 40% of blacks ages 12 to 17 are not vaccinated for Covid, the Daily Signal reported.
A reporter for The Daily Signal asked Bowser if unvaccinated students would have to learn remotely, she replied, “We’re not offering remote learning for children, and families will need to comply with what is necessary to come to school.”
Students will have 20 days to prove they are up-to-date on their Covid vaccination or they will be removed from school.

The District of Columbia does not appear to have a contingency plan for unvaccinated students, who are banned from attending schools in person this fall after the first twenty days, according to comments made by Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser Thursday.
During a press conference, Bowser, a Democrat, admitted there are no alternative options, including virtual learning, for students who cannot attend school due to the District’s vaccine mandate, meaning unvaccinated children will effectively be left without an education.
Over 40% of blacks ages 12-17 are not vaccinated, according to city data.
The Daily Signal asked Bowser what the plan was for unvaccinated students. Washington, D.C. public schools start Monday.
Bowser responded “They can go to school on Monday. But they need to get their vaccinations… and their families will be alerted as to the dates.”
Students get 20 days to provide their vaccination certificate. The Office of the State Superintendent of Education for D.C. announced that “all students must have up-to-date immunization certification on file with the school within the first 20 school days or they will not be allowed to attend school or school activities until the immunization certification is secured by the school.”
The Office continued that “if the student does not come into compliance within a 20-school day period, the school must remove the student from school until the immunization certification is secured by the school.”

Aimee Harris and Robert Kurtlander pleaded guilty on Thursday to stealing the diary of Ashley Biden and selling it to the conservative investigative journalism organization Project Veritas.
Court filings from the Southern District of New York, which Just the News obtained, reveal that the pair first offered the diary to the Trump campaign but were rebuffed. The filings do not directly identify former President Donald Trump, but the details of the case have been public for months.

HARRIS and KURLANDER attended the fundraiser with the intent of showing the Victim's stolen property to a campaign representative of [Trump], hoping that the political campaign would purchase it," read the filings.
"On or about September 10, 2020, a representative of [Trump's] political campaign conveyed to AIMEE HARRIS and ROBERT KURLANDER, the defendants, that the campaign was not interested in purchasing the property and advised HARRIS and KURLANDER to provide the items to the Federal Bureau of Investigation ('FBI')," it continued. "KURLANDER texted HARRIS, "[Trump] campaign can't use it. They want it to go to the FBI. There is NO WAY [Trump] can use this. It has to be done a different way."
The pair later sold the diary to Project Veritas.

Google to ‘inoculate’ Eastern Europeans against disinformation
The campaign aims to make users resistant to negative information about Ukrainian refugees
A new campaign by Google’s behavioral tech incubator Jigsaw aims to “pre-bunk” harmful claims about Ukrainian refugees, targeting audiences in Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic with video clips designed to educate them about the types of psychological manipulation the spreaders of disinformation might deploy against them.
Taking its cue from ‘inoculation theory’ and the logic behind vaccination – in which someone is exposed to a virus, or in this case exposing them to knowledge about misinformation – the goal of the campaign is apparently to boost people’s defenses against false information.
“If you tell people what’s true and false, a lot of people will dispute the claims…but what you can predict are the techniques that will be used in spreading misinformation, like with the Ukrainian crisis,” Jon Roozenbeek, the lead author on a study of the research behind Jigsaw’s campaign, told Reuters in an interview.
The end goal is making audiences “resilient” to anti-refugee narratives. Poland was chosen as ground zero for testing because of its high number of Ukrainian migrants – some 1.5 million have crossed into the country since February, and the city of Warsaw saw its population climb by 15% due to the influx of refugees – while the other two countries were selected to give a general idea of how the rest of Europe might respond, according to Jigsaw head of research Beth Goldberg.
The 90-second clips were devised with the help of psychologists from the universities of Cambridge and Bristol and run for a month in ad slots on Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube. They form part of a larger campaign encompassing NGOs, fact-checkers, academics, and “disinformation experts.”
Recasting the fight against disinformation as a public health crisis has become popular since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in 2020, with UN agencies from UNESCO to the World Health Organization itself warning audiences to think before sharing questionable material lest they unwittingly become “superspreaders” of an “infodemic.”

"The person who made the cal through the chat advised that they 'came out as transgender and claimed that they shot the family,'" the police report read.
A police report regarding the new incident read that:
"On Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 0253 hours, Rome/Floyd E-911 received a call about a male possible shooting his family members and then himself at… the home of Marjorie Greene. The males name that was given was Wayne Greene. The call came in as though it was from a suicide crisis center but it was not through a phone, it was from an internet chat. The person who made the cal through the chat advised that they 'came out as transgender and claimed that they shot the family.'
"They also claimed, 'If anyone tried to stop me from shooting myself, I will shoot them.' they also advised 'they would be waiting for us.'"
"Lt. Smith advised Officer Groover and I to go to the location and try to make contract with Ms. Greene. We arrived and approached the house. Officer Groover went to the front door to make contact. Ms. Greene came to the door and we alerted her with the reason why we were there.
"The suicide chat line that was used could not get a location due to the person(s) using a VPN."
A statement from the Rome Police Department to the media read:
"On August 25, 2022 at about 0253 hours Rome Police officers responded to a second “swatting: call at the residence of Majorie Taylor Greene. This call was received on what appeared to be a suicide crisis line from an internet chat.
"Officers responded once again to Mrs. Greene’s home and confirmed this was a second false report.
