These photos are classic examples of NorKor culture with respect to the leader. The scone one with the boy in uniform was taken at Mangyogdae Revolutiinary School, an elite school known for taking in orphaned children of national heroes. North Koreans are very emotional, and it is common to see them overwhelmed and in tears when the leader visits their facility. This is reflected in NorKor movies, cf. the ending scene of "The Country I Saw" for example.
