Back on March 19, Page Six revealed that the daughter of Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider had become terrifyingly stranded in rural Peru after travel bans came into effect as the coronavirus spread across the globe. Now Snider has told us how his 23-year-old daughter Chey — who had been visiting a spiritual retreat in Iquitos, in northeastern Peru, alone — was dramatically rescued by the US Embassy in Lima which, Dee claims, gave her a military security detail to whisk her to a local airport, where a chartered plane was waiting to take her and some other American travelers to Miami.

“My publicist… just happened to go to camp with the son of [former Secretary of Homeland Security] Tom Ridge… He was able to help get my daughter out,” Snider told us. The “We’re Not Gonna Take It” singer says it took around two weeks to finally get her back to LA, where she lives.

“The first thing she sent [when she was back in the US] was a picture of her at Miami airport. She was in a too-cool-for-school pose,” he told Page Six, “And I said, ‘You know what — I’m so grateful to see that attitude because it could’ve been stolen from her by bad people.”
