This is a discourse for all whom, with good intentions, quote scripture. Many use the passages as a form of spiritual elevation, which is good thing. The reason many will find it repulsive is that these terms do not equate in the real world. The problem is that the usage is applied to all realms: physical, mental, and spiritual; simultaneously as a solution to all things. All is possible with God, but to bridge these realms simultaneously, is to perform and partake of; miracles as an Act of God. Few ever will be able to witnesses these acts, even more rare is the person who will recognize it, and the most rare and remote are those that can actually be a part of their performances.
All this is due to lack of respect, lack of understanding, and laziness. It is much easier to quote scripture than it is to go lend a helping hand. It is much easier to lend a hand than it is to lay down ones life. Each realm is designed to administer to the others. Do not ask the hand to do what the spirit can and do not ask the spirit to do what the hand can.
The mind, body, and spirit should not shrug what they were designed to do. Try reducing the pain in each realm not only for yourself but for all others, then you will find God's favor and may one day wield the sword.
