>17s are fucking everywhere.

I recently took a break from this place and bummed a friend's Netflix login and did something I haven't done in 5 years—bingewatched a couple series and watched maybe 5 movies. We own Hollywood at this point (and considerably prior than I had any clue). The 17's, 17,000's, 107's truly dominated every prominent number of every theme in most scenes of damn near everything I watched.

>wonder what people who lived thru the dust bowl, great depression, and WWII think about that "poll."

My sentiments too when reading that.

"Suffering" mostly due to first world problems like iPhone model 2 generations outdated. Mine is like 8 gen outdated, I haven't owned a car for over a year, I spend zero money on "fun" and I'd never rate myself as "suffering" because I grew up around plenty of Great Depression people and think most American "poverty" today is decadent by the standards of 1933.
