I was barking out instructions to diagnostically isolate an issue. I made the comment that I felt like House, but wasn't allowed too use profanity.

I said, "I am watching it now and everyone who comes into the hospital is a tranny.

He blew up and lectured me for being insensitive and disrespectful (though there were no trannies in the room.)

After the test I took him aside. I explained that though he knew I intended no offense, he chose to belittle and bully me in front of the whole team. He said he didn't intend to do that. I explained according to his own rules, that doesn't matter. I was offended. Furthermore I explained that the use of "fuck" is unprofessional, demeaning, and disrectful to the professionals, and that it offends me. I expect never to hear it again. And by the way, my pronouns are "Galactic Grand Master". I like these new rules.

I have many more years practice being an asshole than he does.
