Kash Patel on the Mar-a-Lago Carpet Photo: “First of All It Is Staged. Those Are Cover Sheets… It’s Being Run by Government Gangsters Along with Same Corrupt FBI”

The Biden Justice Department submitted its opposition to President Trump’s suit demanding a special master be appointed to review documents taken in the FBI raid on his Palm Beach, Florida home, Mar-a-Lago, on August 8.

Included in the response was a staged photo of ‘classified’ documents laid out on a carpet next to a storage box with a framed Time Magazine cover.

The documents are spread out on the carpet all facing the same way to the camera. Several documents have been whited out, while others have classified markings including Secret//SCI, HCS and Top Secret//SCI. The HCS marking stands for ‘HUMINT Control System’, indicating human-sourced intelligence.

Kash Patel, the former chief of staff to the Acting United States Secretary of Defense under President Donald Trump, joined Benny Johnson on Wednesday following the release of the leaked DOJ documents meant to damage President Donald Trump.

Kash Patel: First of all it is staged… And those red and yellow things you see on the floor are cover sheets. Those aren’t classified. They’re saying they’re supposed to be used when you’re identifying classified documents. But there is nothing on those documents or the underlying documents that the FBI-DOJ are showing President Trump didn’t declassify them… What they are doing is trying this case in the court of public opinion… All I’m seeing is this is continuing to backfire because it’s being run by law enforcement. It’s being run by government gangsters like Chris Wray and Merrick Garland and it all goes back to Russiagate.

Pentagon to hold classified meeting on Russia and China's space weapon plans

Officials said China has tested a capability "never before seen in the world"

The Pentagon will hold a classified meeting next week to discuss Russia and China's possible plans to obtain novel space weapons, a publicly posted agenda shows.

The discussion follows Russia's launch of a missile to destroy a Soviet-era satellite and China's apparent test of a hypersonic glide vehicle, Defense News reported.

Adm. Charles Richard, chief of U.S. Strategic Command, said China tested a capability "never before seen in the world."

He warned that China's new vehicle means "decreased warning timelines, difficulties in attribution and an increased threat to our traditional space and missile defenses and forces."

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, his deputy Kathleen Hicks and Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl will meet Sept. 6 and 7 with the Defense Policy Board advisory group to discuss China and Russia's possible plans.

The meeting will focus on the U.S. response to potential threats and "how China and Russia’s potential development of fractional orbital bombardment systems and space-to-ground weapons could impact U.S. deterrence and strategic stability," the agenda states.

Report — FBI Agents Have ‘Lost Confidence’ in Director Wray: ‘He’s Got to Leave’

A number of FBI agents say they have “lost confidence” in Director Christopher Wray and are now calling for his resignation, according to a report.

Former FBI agent Kurt Siuzdak, an attorney who represents whistleblowers, said agents have told him they “feel like the director has lost control of the bureau,” the Washington Times reported.

“They’re saying, ‘How does this guy survive? He’s leaving. He’s got to leave,” Siuzdak added.

The report of Wray’s suffering reputation among rank-and-file agents comes just after senior FBI official Timothy Thibault left the bureau last week.

Thibault, who says he retired on his own accord, was facing numerous allegations, including from FBI whistleblowers, about displaying political bias on his social media, suppressing a line of investigation into Hunter Biden, inconsistently pursuing investigations, mishandling election-related matters, and inflating domestic violent extremism cases.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the lead Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, has fielded several FBI whistleblower allegations and was the first to shed light this year on some of those leveled against Thibault.

Upon Thibault’s exit from the FBI, Grassley said in a statement provided to Breitbart News that Thibault’s alleged bias “casts a shadow over all of the bureau’s work that he was involved in,” much of which was high-profile and carried national impact.

“Political bias should have no place at the FBI, and the effort to revive the FBI’s credibility can’t stop with his exit,” Grassley said.

The Times noted calls for Wray’s resignation have occurred in the past, including in 2018, when then-Florida Gov. Rick Scott called for Wray to step down over allegedly not following a tip about the Parkland shooter, and in 2020, when then-Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) called for Wray’s resignation over his handling of the now-debunked Russia collusion charges.

FBI agents “are telling me they have lost confidence in Wray. All Wray does is go in and say we need more training and we’re doing stuff about it or we will not tolerate it,” Siuzdak said, per the Times.

In addition to Thibault’s seemingly abrupt departure from the FBI, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, has made headlines for the numerous whistleblowers who have approached his office.

Jordan recently estimated that 14 FBI whistleblowers with useful information have spoken with his office in the past year, a number he told Breitbart News “underscores how political that place has become.”

In addition to the array of whistleblower allegations, the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence this month in search of classified documents. The stunning move prompted top Republicans such as Trump, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), House Republican Conference chair Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and others to blast the FBI’s raid as politically motivated rather than fair.

In response to the reported calls for Wray to resign, the FBI told the Times in a statement, “The men and women of the FBI work hard every day to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution.”

“All employees are held to the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct, and we expect them to focus on process, rigor, and objectivity in performance of their duties,” the statement read. “Allegations of misconduct are taken seriously and referred to the Inspection Division or appropriate investigative body.”

US Chipmaker Ordered To Halt Sales Of Semiconductors To China

American chipmaker Nvidia announced in a Wednesday quarterly report that the U.S. government informed them of a new license requirement that would prohibit the sale of two advanced chips to China and Russia.

The U.S. government was concerned that the chips, which have applications in artificial intelligence work, might be co-opted by the Chinese or Russian militaries, according to Nvidia’s quarter two report. The chips were expected to generate $400 million in quarterly sales, revenue which is now in jeopardy from the new restriction, according to Reuters.

“The [United States government] indicated that the new license requirement will address the risk that the covered products may be used in, or diverted to, a ‘military end use’ or ‘military end user’ in China and Russia,” Nvidia’s report stated. “We do not sell products to customers in Russia.”

The broader personal-computer industry is facing a slump, with Intel reporting quarterly losses and Nvidia seeing a 33% drop in revenue from its gaming-oriented products, according to The Wall Street Journal. Nvidia’s reported revenue of $6.7 billion in quarter two was about 17% below the $8.1 billion it forecasted in May, primarily as a result of this slump, the WSJ reported.

Nvidia noted that the new license requirements would negatively impact their “research and development and supply and distribution operations” if they required transitioning operations out of China. Nvidia said that it was seeking an exemption with the U.S. government for “internal development and support activities.”

Nvidia also expressed in its report that it was seeking to either satisfy or replace outstanding orders with Chinese customers, and that it would pursue new licenses with the U.S. government. When asked for a comment on the situation, a spokesperson for Nvidia reiterated this point and stressed that only two chips were affected.

Competitor Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) told Reuters that while the new requirements would halt the sales of one of its artificial intelligence chips, it believes others will remain unaffected. AMD did not expect the new rules to meaningfully affect its business plans, according to Reuters.

Nvidia expressed concerns that if the U.S. government was unwilling or too slow in providing licenses, “the new requirement may benefit our competitors” as a result of the increased bureaucratic pressures and incentives for customers to “pursue alternatives to our products.”

German minister vows to back Ukraine ‘no matter what voters think’

Annalena Baerbock says supporting Kiev matters more than expected winter unrest

Even if Germans take to the streets over energy prices, Berlin must support Ukraine by maintaining anti-Russian sanctions, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock told a conference in Prague on Wednesday.

While much of the German cabinet was at a working retreat in Castle Meseberg outside Berlin, Baerbock was in Prague for a conference dubbed “Democracy’s Clear and Present Danger: How Do We Respond?” organized by the NGO Forum 2000.

“If I give the promise to people in Ukraine – ‘We stand with you, as long as you need us’ – then I want to deliver. No matter what my German voters think, but I want to deliver to the people of Ukraine,” Baerbock said at one point.

“I have to be clear that this holds on as long as Ukraine needs me,” she said, referring to the EU embargo against Russia.

“We are facing now wintertime, when we will be challenged as democratic politicians. People will go in the street and say ‘We cannot pay our energy prices’. And I will say ‘Yes I know, so we help you with social measures.’ But I don’t want to say ‘Ok then we stop the sanctions against Russia.’ We will stand with Ukraine, and this means the sanctions will stay also in wintertime, even if it gets really tough for politicians,” Baerbock concluded.
