In big city's its harder for them to create enough ballots in order to predict and counter a high voter Republican turn out. That's why they need primary's so they have enough time to create more ballots and exceed the turnout of republican voters.

when i got a mortgage (suntrust) to buy my house, the lender wanted to make sure i didn't have any other race, saying if i was any other race other than white I could get 0 down, and get a really low interest rate. I'm not Black or Mexican, and I'm not a liar either. Good thing was, i worked my ass off and saved money to put down, that was my real intention anyway, so i wasn't going to let it get me down.
