As a longtime Blizzard fan (~20 years) and top-ranked player (top 0.001%) in World of Warcraft and Heroes of the Storm, I'd like to actually thank Blizzard for creating outstanding Digital Worlds. Those moments in my youth of learning to play with a team of 20-40 players in unison trying to defeat World Destroyers in a video game taught me so many valuable lessons in life that I'd need to write a trilogy of books to fully thaw out how to describe it all. I bolstered my ability to critically think, teamwork, and be recognized for my pure mechanical ability whereas in the real world I would have been shit on for being toxic or shunned for being good at something. In the Digital Realm you are rewarded for being capable, unless you want to play some shit game where you can just buy your way to the top.
That being said, I'd rather see Microsoft own Blizzard and take it out of the hands of Activision or whomever else controls it (probably China). Proper-made video games are vital to improve cognition and reaction times in general. The key is to not neglect sunlight, exercise, diet, and RL socializing.
Maybe those experiences lead me to come here; I'm good at saving the world/universe. All you need is a fantastical and dedicated group of retards; the key is to not give up and lose morale and keep going until it's done!
