Reviewed 30,490 emails that HRC had produced to State Dept., looking for evidence of intent. Emails found containing classified info were sent to Intel Agencies.
Remaining 31,830 supposedly personal emails were searched for on Blackberries, iPads, PCs and phone records of several individuals. FBI obtained over 30 devices, including 2 of the 3 Clinton servers. About 17,448 more Clinton emails were recovered, including 81 email chains with 193 emails containing classified info. No header or footer was marked classified, which gave Lynch cover to say all OK.
Near end of investigation, when Comey's report was more or less ready, 8 emails were found marked (C), including SAP info.
Intrusion analysis was done–Jake Sullivan and Sydney Blumenthal email accounts were comped.
Both consent and compulsory process (including Grand Jury Subpoenas) were used to obtain info, with team members disagreeing at times which was best for individual cases.
HRC Archive Laptop and Archive Thumb Drive not located. Her attorneys claimed that 13 of her personal mobile devices could not be found, but eventually enough evidence was acquired to complete the investigation.
A filtering team made sure that no outside parties' communications were intruded upon, which would have been beyond purview of legal process.
Sullivan, Mills & Abedin sent and received classified info on private accounts, not marked as such.
