The Biden Regime Collapses the 'Public'-'Private' Distinction

Josh HammerOn 9/2/22 at 6:30 AM EDT

part 1 of 2

On Thursday, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who is also the Show Me State's candidate for U.S. Senate this November, unveiled some very interesting documents that his office, along with the office of Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, have received since the two states jointly filed a potentially pathbreaking lawsuit in May. Their lawsuit alleges that various high-ranking Biden administration officials have been colluding, in censorious fashion, with the purportedly "private" oligarchs of Big Tech. The straightforward aim of this collusion is the suppression of the dissident "wrongthink"—viz., conservative speech—that threatens the Biden Regime's tenuous grasp on power.

The documents Schmitt and Landry have received, pursuant to their serving of discovery requests and issuing of third-party subpoenas, shine a spotlight on the depths to which the Biden Regime has fallen to collapse any putative distinction between the "public" sector and the "private" sector. Their findings thus far in this still-pending litigation reveal to all, as if we needed more evidence but a week after Mark Zuckerberg's podcast confessionheard 'round the world with popular host Joe Rogan, the extent to which Big Tech platforms such as Facebook and Twitter no longer qualify as meaningfully "private" and have instead simply become appendages of the state.

According to Schmitt, the Biden Department of Justice has, since Missouri and Louisiana's lawsuit was filed, identified 45 federal officials who have "interacted with social media companies on misinformation." What's more, Meta (Facebook's parent company) pinpointed 32 additional Biden functionaries with whom it communicated, and YouTube (a Google product) identified 11 such flunkies with whom it communicated.

Overall, the emails obtained evince, as Schmitt says, "a vast censorship enterprise." The findings unveiled include the revelation that Facebook and the Biden administration arranged weekly and monthly phone calls to discuss what Facebook should be censoring. Those emails, from late July 2021, happen to be dated just a couple of weeks after then-White House press secretary Jen Psakicriticized social media platforms for not doing enough to stifle "misinformation," and President Joe Biden criticized them for "killing people." What curious timing!

Other emails confirm that Biden administration actors and agencies as wide-ranging as the surgeon general, the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency were all in communication with some combination of Google, Facebook, and Twitter. In every instance, the goal was the same: to censor "misinformation," and to constrain the Regime's Overton window of permissible civilian opinion formation so as to penalize the citizenry's (well-earned) suspicion of the Regime's proffered narratives. As Saul Alinsky said, after all, "he who controls the language controls the masses."

Schmitt's revelations come just two weeks after Vivek Ramaswamy and Jed Rubenfeld, in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, compellingly demonstrated the extent to which the Biden administration directed Twitter to ban Alex Berenson, a notable skeptic of Regime orthodoxy when it came to the COVID-era biomedical security state. And in the interim, in the brief time between that recent Journalop-ed and Schmitt's unveiled love letters between Zuckerberg's hucksters and Biden's nomenklatura, came perhaps the biggest revelation of all.

Part 2 of 2

On August 25, Zuckerberg himself confided to Rogan on-air that America's Stasi—sorry, FBI—warned Facebook in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election about the threat of "Russian misinformation," thus effectively commandeering Facebook to algorithmically penalize, and generally conceal, the New York Post's bombshell October 2020 storypertaining to prodigal son Hunter Biden's infamous "laptop from hell." Some polls have indicated that as many as one in six Biden voters would have changed their vote, in 2020, if they had known the full extent of the Post's reporting on Hunter's cursed laptop. Given how narrow Biden's winning statewide margins of victory were in the states that gave him his Electoral College majority, Big Tech's censorship was all but assuredly dispositive.

Big Tech, then, is responsible for Biden's presidency. And it is demonstrably also responsible for the continuing suppression and subjugation of all those "misinformation"-peddling "wrongthink"-ers who refuse to bend the knee to the Biden Regime. Big Tech gave Biden the election, and Big Tech now does Biden's dirty work for him.

These technology platforms, in short, have proven themselves to not be "private" actors in any meaningful sense of the term. They are now direct appendages of the state, and they must be constitutionally treated and regulated as such.

At the state level, that means directly requiring Big Tech to embrace viewpoint-neutrality and to not censor conservative or otherwise-dissenting viewpoints, similar to Texas' recently enacted law that is currently winding its way through the federal courts. Applying a First Amendment speech standard to Big Tech is manifestly fair—and simply bespeaks the reality of what these platforms have become.

At the federal level, that means amending our byzantine corpus of civil rights law to add political viewpoint as an additional protected class, as well as independent action to either statutorily clarify that platforms such as Facebook are, or have the FCC unilaterally regulate these platforms under Title II of the Communications Act of 1934 as, common carriers. There is absolutely no reason why Facebook, for example, should now be regulated any differently than how the phone companies and internet service providers are regulated.

It is bitterly ironic that the Biden Regime, which has recently taken to denouncing so-called "MAGA Republicans" as "semi-fascists," has so accelerated the collapse of any distinction between the "public" and the "private," resulting in a singular Regime blob. Such a merging of the state and the corporate sphere into such a disfigured blob, historically speaking, was a hallmark of actual fascism. In the year 2022, such naked "public"-"private" collusion, and such a "public"-"private" merger, represents the single biggest threat facing the American way of life. We must respond to that threat accordingly.

WATCH: President Biden Says ‘Democracy’ 31 Times in Speech Targeting ‘MAGA Republicans’

Amy Furr1 Sep 2022

President Joe Biden (D) said the word “democracy” 31 times during a speech delivered Thursday evening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Biden’s remarks touched on the “dangers” former President Donald Trump and his supporters posed to democracy, according to Breitbart News.

He stated toward the end of his speech:

I believe the soul is the breath, the life, and the essence of who we are. The soul is what makes us us. The soul of America is defined by the sacred proposition that all are created equal in the image of God. That all are entitled to be treated with decency, dignity, and respect. That all deserve justice and a shot at lives of prosperity and consequence. And that democracy, democracy, must be defended for democracy makes all these things possible.

Biden’s final words before stepping away from the podium were, “Democracy. Thank you.”

Two Marines stood nearby and a red light was projected onto a brick wall in the background as he told listeners that the people he described as “MAGA Republicans” are a threat to the nation and American Democracy, according to Breitbart News.

“In his speech, Biden called for Americans to ‘unite behind the single purpose of defending our democracy regardless of your ideology’ — that is, unless your ideology happened to be that of a Republican who voted for, and might vote for, Donald Trump,” wrote the Breitbart News’s Joel B. Pollak.

In a social media post Thursday evening, conservative activist Scott Presler said, “Joe Biden is inciting violence against MAGA Republicans.”

“His consistent & constant dehumanization of conservatives is clearly stochastic terrorism,” he wrote:

“When we are assaulted for our beliefs, Joe Biden will have another impeachable offense, among his other crimes,” Presler concluded.

It’s Not Political, It’s His Duty’: Team Joe Biden Desperately Tries to Spin Partisan Speech

Charlie Spiering1 Sep 2022

President Joe Biden’s staffers worked furiously Thursday night to combat accusations that his speech at Independence Hall was too partisan against “extreme” MAGA Republicans.

The president repeatedly condemned “MAGA Republicans” and supporters of former President Donald Trump as violent extremists who represented a threat to American democracy.

“Democracy is not a partisan or political issue,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Chris Meagher wrote on social media, criticizing a CNN anchor’s description of the speech as “political”

“Except it’s not political,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates insisted, featuring the same criticism of Biden’s speech.

Bates also claimed that journalists were being hypocritical for suggesting that Biden’s speech was too partisan.

“It’s not ‘political,’ it’s his duty,” wrote White House senior adviser for communications to the National Economic Council.

White House director of digital strategy Rob Flaherty compared Biden’s speech to the nation’s first president George Washington’s farewell address.

Even former Biden officials tried to defend the president.

“Defending democracy is necessary because it is under threat. That doesn’t make that defense of one of our fundamental values as a county partisan or political. (Because it’s not),” former White House press secretary Jen Psaki wrote on Twitter.

Former press secretary for Vice President Kamala Harris said Biden’s speech was “not” a campaign speech.

“Prior to tonight I thought, oh this is a campaign speech…after listening it clearly was not. I heard a POTUS ringing the alarm about the real threat to our nation,” she wrote.

Their comments is how you know the majority of his communication staff are under 30 years old.

Report, Biden Speech Will Call for Nation to Drop Demands for Freedom, Stop Resisting Collectivism and Unite as One Nation Conforming to the Dictates of His Administration

September 1, 2022 | Sundance | 424

According to a prepared release from the White House, tonight Joe Biden will identify all members of the resistance as a threat to his view of American democracy.

The roadmap to the future aspirations of Democrats in power was made clear in their deployment of the COVID-19 control mechanisms. That power now forms the baseline of the midterm election effort of government ruling the lives of people, forever. All resistance to the effort is ‘domestic terrorism,’ and the state police (FBI) have been instructed to target all opposition with extreme prejudice.

Once again, the passive aggressive Alinsky mindset is on display. In Joe Biden’s America, democracy must be destroyed in order to preserve it. Individualism must be crushed, in order to create the crisis of the all-powerful collectivist state.

A constitutional republic built on the foundation of individual liberty stands directly in the way of the new foundation. The weapons of internal surveillance, DHS, DOJ-NSD, FBI and ODNI are now primed for full deployment against any ‘domestic terrorists’ who would oppose the regime.

As the worldview is expressed, opposing Anthony Fauci was considered to be an attack on the very foundation of science itself; and now, opposing Joe Biden is opposing the foundation of a democracy. A democracy built upon fraud.

You will conform to the new control mechanisms.

You will conform to the lockdowns.

You will conform to the social distancing.

You will conform to the mask wearing.

You will conform to the mandated vaccination.

You will conform to the new energy economy.

You will conform to the new electric vehicles.

You will conform to the new energy equity programs.

You will conform to the new speech guidelines.

You will conform….

Everything about the “new democracy,” the Build Back Better democracy, is based on conformity.

Subtle, But Valuable – Senator Rick Scott Pushes Back Against Arrogance of Senate DeceptiCons

September 1, 2022 | Sundance | 184 Comments

Former Governor of Florida Rick Scott, the current head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, has taken some hits in the past for his go-along-get-along persona. However, in an op-ed today the Florida Senator pushes back against the DeceptiCon influence.

It is refreshing to see a republican politician taking the arrogance of the McConnell crew to task. It is even more refreshing to see Senator Scott use the atomic sledgehammer of truth:

[…] …”when you complain and lament that we have “bad candidates,” what you are really saying is that you have contempt for the voters who chose them. Now we are at the heart of the matter. Much of Washington’s chattering class disrespects and secretly (or not so secretly) loathes Republican voters.”

[read op-ed Here]

Perhaps, Senator Scott recognizes the intention of the McConnell clan, an intention that runs counter to the responsibility of his job as chairman of the NRSC. It is a matter of factual accuracy that McConnell and his DeceptiCon wing do indeed have contempt for the voters within the republican party. This larger truth has been very visible for many years.

It’s good to see someone from inside the upper chamber start to call them out. Unfortunately, if history serves a roadmap for the reaction from the DeceptiCons, Scott will likely be cast into the same furnace of hate previously occupied by Senator Jim DeMint.

In the interim, he has my full support. Thank you, Senator Scott…. More please.

Washington versus Republican voters

Sen. Rick Scott September 01, 2022

When I became the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Republicans had just lost control of the Senate. This does not merely mean Republicans lost the ability to lead committees; it means we lost the ability to control anything about what the Senatedoes.

The result? President Joe Biden and the Democrats opened our southern border for an invasion and a massive flow of illegal drugs, engaged in enough deficit spending to drive inflation through the roof, took away America’s energy independence, drove America into a recession, and implemented soft-on-crime policies that have led to a national epidemic of violent crime.

Unfortunately, many of the very people responsible for losing the Senate last cycle are now trying to stop us from winning the majority this time by trash-talking our Republican candidates. It’s an amazing act of cowardice, and ultimately, it’s treasonous to the conservative cause. Giving anonymous quotes to help the Washington Post or the New York Times write stories trashing Republicans is the same as working with the Democratic National Committee.

If you want to talk about the need to raise more money to promote our candidates versus the Democrats’ terrible candidates, I agree. If you want to trash-talk our candidates to help the Democrats, pipe down, That’s not what leaders do. And Republicans need to be leaders that build up the team and do everything they can to get the entire team over the finish line.

Ultimately, though, when you complain and lament that we have “bad candidates,”what you are really saying is that you have contempt for the voters who chose them. Now we are at the heart of the matter. Much of Washington's chattering class disrespects and secretly (or not so secretly) loathes Republican voters.

These self-appointed “smart guys” in Washington think they (not the voters) should be able to choose our candidates. The D.C. crowd should not choose candidates, and they do not, and they will not. The D.C. crowd did not choose me and actively opposed me in 2010 when I ran for governor in the Florida Republican primary. If the D.C. crowd was right, I wouldn’t be in the Senate.

We have great candidates with incredible backgrounds and ideas to make our country better. Do I wish they had more money than their Democratic opponent? Of course. But we have great candidates, chosen by the voters in their states, and our job is to help each one of them win. And, once a candidate wins, Washington will (as usual) immediately change its collective mind and say, “I was secretly on the senator’s side the whole time.”

While the media and Washington want to try and tear down our candidates, voters put forward incredible people to serve in the Senate: a world-renowned doctor, a Heisman trophy winner and successful businessman, a small businessman and congressman from a farming community, a bestselling author who has shown the struggles in America from drug addiction, a successful tech entrepreneur, an Iraq War veteran who served two terms as state attorney general, a successful construction company entrepreneur, and a nurse who has fought for change at the VA so our heroes get the care they deserve. These are just a few of our amazing candidates who will win in November.

And the truth is, all our candidates are great in this regard: They all oppose inflation, recession, open borders, violent crime, and 87,000 new IRS agents brought to America by Biden and this crop of Senate Democrats. And I will fight for all of them.

Yes, I’m an optimist. And I’m a cheerleader for our candidates. And I get a lot of crap for it from the D.C. crowd who tell me I shouldn’t sound so bullish or I should do more to set expectations. I’m not playing that game because each one of our candidates presents a stark contrast to the failed agenda of Biden and the Democrats.

Let me be clear — we will overcome the Washington naysayers and their anonymous quotes, we will beat the Democrats, and we will take control of the Senate this fall. Write it down.

And when we do, we will be in a position to stop this confused and ridiculous president from further damaging our great country and present a positive agenda that will be good for all of America. As a side benefit, we will be able to ignore the fools who have been trash-talking Republican candidates and Republican voters.

That’s a win-win in my book.

Really good article by Senator Scott, he’s exposing McConnell and the gang members of thugs that have been in the Senate far too long.

Many of them joined and happily launched Russiagate. They despise anyone that will interfere with their endless con job on America!

When they go down I will have as much joy as I will when Democrats go down, maybe more. The majority of these traitorous Senators colluded to let Joe steal the election!

Actually these people should get the full punishment that treasonous traitors do!
