not that it really matters, because I had a secondary major in art/graphic design, but the difference is that a statue/sculpture is 3D and you should be able to walk all the way around it.
A relief is carved to pop out of the wall or plaque.

I kind of can do good on MS Paint if I take more time, but if I see a picture that I think would make a good caricature, I'll draw it quick on MS Paint then post it.
