Officers were told a woman, identified as Eliza Fletcher, 34, was jogging in the area around 4:20 a.m. when an unknown person approached her.

Young mom and school teacher, jogging early am as most runners do, forced into an SUV and taken away.

“She teaches and that has two young boys that obviously are worried about just a great lady, just the best mom.”

Fletcher regularly runs near the University of Memphis.

There have been at least 100 incidents classified as kidnappings in Memphis this year, according to public safety data posted on the city’s website.

Fox13 reported this week that a mother and her one-year-old child were abducted last weekend near Wolfchase and forced to withdraw money from an ATM before being released.
