Breaking: VA Supreme Court Rules Investigation Into Loudoun Co. School District Can Continue

Loudoun County parents and Glen Youngkin are starting the school year off with a win.

In the wake of the incidents in which a boy committed a sexual assault at a Loudoun County, Va., school and was then moved to another school in which he committed another assault, Gov. Glen Youngkin issued an executive order for a grand jury investigation into the Loudoun County School District. In response, the district filed a suit to halt the investigation on the grounds that it was unconstitutional. According to WTOP, the school asserted that the grand jury had expanded the scope of the investigation beyond illegal activity to include social media reports and transgender issues.

The TV station reported on Friday that the Virginia Supreme Court ruled that the grand jury’s investigation can continue to move forward. The station quoted part of the court’s ruling that said, “The school board has offered no convincing argument for why the grand jury investigation infringes this provision…The school board will continue to oversee the county’s schools exactly as before. The constitutional power to administer a school district does not bring with it immunity from investigation for violations of the criminal law.”

The Governor’s Office released the following statement:

RICHMOND, VA – Governor Glenn Youngkin released the following statement today on the Virginia Supreme Court Ruling regarding the Loudoun County Investigation:

“Today’s ruling by Virginia’s Supreme Court to uphold our investigation in Loudoun is a victory for parents, teachers, and students. After the Loudoun County School Board failed to address sexual assault incidents in their district, were not held accountable for their actions and continuously let down students and parents in Virginia, I signed an executive order on my first day in office authorizing an investigation by Attorney General Miyares into the Loudoun County Public Schools,” said Governor Glenn Youngkin.

The district said that it was disappointed in the ruling but would continue to cooperate.

I Am a 'Clear and Present Danger' to theBiden Regime (And So Are You)

“Clear and present danger” aren’t words any president should use lightly because that’s when the big guns used to come out against the First Amendment — and might again. Set aside for a few minutes the vaguely Nurembergesque optics of Thursday night’s historically divisive speech by Presidentish Joe Biden so we can concentrate on the content. “MAGA Republicans have made their choice. They embrace anger,” Biden angrily declared. “They thrive on chaos. They live not in the light of truth but in the shadow lies together.”

The rest of the article:

“That’s why respected conservatives, like Federal Circuit Court Judge Michael Luttig, has called Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans, quote, a ‘clear and present danger’ to our democracy.”

Ben Shapiro called it “the most demagogic, outrageous, and divisive speech” he’s ever seen from an American president because Biden “essentially declared all those who oppose him and his agenda enemies of the republic.”

Biden’s speech came just two days after he not-so-implicitly threatened lmillions of law-abiding Americans with military action. “For those brave right-wing Americans,” he sneered, “if you want to fight against the country, you need an F-15. You need something little more than a gun.”

Ricochet’s Jon Gabriel said that Biden’s word choice was as “deliberate as it was divisive,” reminding readers that the C&PD doctrine was “created by the Woodrow Wilson-era Supreme Court to curtail the free speech of Americans.”

Biden, warned Gabriel, “floated a legal pretext to silence Republicans heading into the midterm elections.”

Already, social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have been revealed as willing stooges for government end-runs around the First Amendment, as our own Stacey Lennox noted just today:

On the heels of shocking comments by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg about the FBI’s role in censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story, initial e-mails related to a lawsuit filed by Schmitt and Landry show even more evidence that the Biden administration is using Big Tech to do what it is not, allowed to do according to the Constitution.

Lennox wrote that “Further disclosures could demonstrate that Big Tech and the government are conspiring to censor information related to any number of issues.”

But back to Thursday night’s demagoguery.

MSNBC’s Eugene Robinson approvingly described Biden’s speech as an “urgent, wartime address.”

Well, with whom is Biden at war?

Biden has met the enemy, and he is us.

Many on the Right, including my friend and colleague Stephen Kruiser, believe that Biden’s speech was a display of weakness, “the panic and flop sweat of every Washington power player inside the Beltway.” I don’t necessarily disagree, but let’s at least consider that it might have been something else: A display of dangerously hubristic overconfidence in the administration’s own power.

Their power not to govern but to rule.

What else is there to call it when the Biden regime goes from surreptitiously silencing critics via social media back channels to openly floating a Wilson-era pretext for jailing us?

If this scheming mediocrity believes he can use his signature to transfer up to a trillion dollars from blue-collar Americans into the wallets of lawyers, doctors, and Trans Deconstructive Lit Theory majors and call it “debt relief,” why wouldn’t he think he can use the coercive power of the state to silence his critics?

I’ve been writing for PJ Media for over 15 years, but this is the first time I ever felt like the company, all of these voices, might not be here tomorrow.

I don’t know if the Swamp cabal running the White House will get away with it, but I’m sure as hell not going to be quiet about it — and neither will anyone else on any of the Townhall websites.

Forget “democracy” — our republic might depend upon it.

White House Gives Bogus Excuse for Using Marines as Props for Biden's Partisan Speech

Matt Margolis

If you’re still processing Joe Biden’s horrific speech Thursday night, get ready for another doozy.

One aspect of the speech that drew the ire of many was Biden being flanked by Marines as he launched an overtly partisan attack on Trump supporters. This even shocked some at CNN.

“There’s nothing unusual or wrong with a President delivering a political speech — it’s inherent in the job description,” noted CNN”s chief national affairs correspondent Jeff Zeleny. “But doing it against a backdrop of two Marines standing at attention and the Marine Band is a break with White House traditions.”

“Whatever you think of this speech the military is supposed to be apolitical,” CNN’s Brianna Keilar mused. “Positioning Marines in uniform behind President Biden for a political speech flies in the face of that. It’s wrong when Democrats do it. It’s wrong when Republicans do it.”

But the White House doesn’t care, and on Friday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre defended Biden’s exploiting of the military. “The presence of the marines at [Biden’s] speech was intended to demonstrate the deep and abiding respect the president has for these service members, to these ideals, and the unique role our independent military plays in defending our democracy,” she said, reading from her prepared notes.

(After Jean-Pierre’s statement she said: clap for that you stupid bastards)

I can’t even. That is just about the worst excuse I’ve ever heard, and it was clearly so far-fetched that Jean-Pierre needed to read it from a script because it was too ridiculous and far-fetched to have been a sincere explanation.

Gavin Newsom's In-Laws Fled California During the Pandemic, but That's Not the Best Part

Matt Margolis

Both California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are considered presidential contenders in 2024 (if neither Biden nor Trump runs) or perhaps afterward.

In July, Newsom aired a campaign ad in Florida warning Floridians that “freedom is under attack” in their state and encouraging them to relocate to California, “where we still believe in freedom.”

Newsom was widely mocked by Ron DeSantis for saying that California believes in freedom while Florida does not. But if you don’t want to take DeSantis’s word for it, you can just ask Governor Newsom’s in-laws, Kenneth and Judith Siebel, the parents of Newsom’s wife Jennifer Siebel.

The Siebels were longtime residents of California but fled the state in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns.

And they fled to Florida!

Public records show they purchased a house in Naples for $3.3 million in March of 2020. They still own their home in Ross, Calif., a suburb of San Francisco, but have been registered to vote in Florida since June of 2020.Kenneth Siebel is a member of the Republican Party, while Judith does not belong to any political party.

Fox News Digital also discovered that aSiebel family trust gave money to a PAC supporting Ron DeSantis. Newsom recently pledged $100,000 to DeSantis’s opponent, former Rep. Charlie Crist. Kenneth Siebel, an investment manager, has been a longtime supporter of the Republican Party.

It hardly seems a coincidence that the Siebel’s change in voter registration took place at the same time their son-in-law enacted some of the country’s strictest COVID lockdowns, which have been widely contrasted with the lack of restrictions in Florida—which were highly criticized by Democrats as reckless.

I’m sure Thanksgiving will be a fun affair this year.

This is too freakin, but did you notice Newsom looks like Joe when he speaks?
