Russia To Legalize Use Of Cryptocurrency In International Trade: Report

The Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance have reportedly agreed to move toward approving the use of cryptocurrency payments in international trade.

Russia is close to pushing legislation for the use of cryptocurrency in international trade.

In current conditions “it is impossible to do without cross-border settlements in cryptocurrency,” the Bank of Russia and Ministry of Finance have reportedly agreed.

The necessary regulatory framework will still need to be introduced.

The Bank of Russia and the country’s Ministry of Finance have reconsidered their positions toward cryptocurrency, acknowledging it to be necessary to legalize the use of cryptocurrencies in cross-border settlements, per a report by local news outlet TASS.

According to TASS, the two government bodies have agreed that “it is impossible” to continue without enabling cryptocurrency as a legal payment method for international trade.

The move comes as Russia dabbles on how to best regulate the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets. Swamped in Western sanctions, the world’s largest country has sought alternatives to the U.S. dollar so as to guarantee the efficient trade of its commodities.

In March, the chairman of the country’s Congressional energy committee, Pavel Zavalny, said the country was open to taking payments for natural gas and other natural resources exports in bitcoin.

“When it comes to our ‘friendly’ countries, like China or Turkey, which don’t pressure us, then we have been offering them for a while to switch payments to national currencies, like rubles and yuan,” Zavalny said at the time. “With Turkey, it can be lira and rubles. So there can be a variety of currencies, and that’s a standard practice. If they want bitcoin, we will trade in bitcoin.”

In May, it was reported that Russia was “actively discussing” using cryptocurrency in international trade.

Now, the imminent actualization of such a move shifts the tide as President Vladimir Putin last year had dismissed the possibility in an interview at the Russian Energy Week event in Moscow.

“I believe that it has value,” Putin said at the time, referring to bitcoin. “But I don’t believe it can be used in the oil trade.”

According to TASS, the necessary regulatory framework to enable cross-border settlements in cryptocurrency in Russia will still be introduced.

FBI ignored 'eyewitness testimony' of Joe Biden's involvement in Hunter's China deal: senator

"The suppression and censoring of his testimony and Hunter’s influence peddling impacted the 2020 election to a far greater extent than anything Russia or China could have ever achieved," Wisconsin's Ron Johnson says.

A month before the 2020 election, the FBI sat on "first-hand eyewitness testimony" by Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski that Democratic nominee Joe Biden himself was involved in his son's dealings with Chinese energy company CEFC, according to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.).

The former Senate Homeland Security Committee chair told the New York Post that the "suppression and censoring of his testimony and Hunter's influence peddling impacted the 2020 election to a far greater extent than anything Russia or China could have ever achieved."

FBI agent Timothy Thibault, who retired last week, didn't follow up with Bobulinski when the partner claimed to have spoken directly to the elder Biden about the Chinese government-linked CEFC deal and that the future president, referred to as the "big guy," was due a 10% cut in a new corporate entity, the Post reported.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) previously said whistleblowers told him that Thibault and fellow FBI employee Brian Auten tried to bury "derogatory information" about Hunter Biden by falsely portraying it as "disinformation." Thibault closed another investigation of the younger Biden in October 2020 "without providing a valid reason as required by FBI guidelines," Grassley wrote.

Thibault was recently revealed to have made anti-Donald Trump social media comments similar to those made by disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok.

Kanye West Tells Clintons To ‘Come Get Me’, Trashes the Pornography Industry, Attacks Pete Davidson And More

World-renowned rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West has put a variety of companies, celebrities, and political figures on blast over the past week.

World-renowned rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West has put a variety of companies, celebrities, and political figures on blast over the past week.

Kanye West’s most recent Instagram rants have attacked a multitude of individuals. The controversial figure made posts on Thursday of last week which claimed he was “discriminated” by Adidas, attacked Kris Jenner for letting his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner for being in Playboy magazines, and also told the Clinton family to “come get me.”

West sparked controversy when he made a post with an image of Kylie Jenner’s former assistant Victoria Villaroel. “Don’t let Kris make you do playboy like she made Kyle and Kim do,” the former presidential candidate wrote.

“Hollywood is a giant brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with the addiction instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago,’ West added before deleting the post.

In another now-deleted Instagram post, West posted what appears to be a text thread between him and Kim Kardashian. “From my mom – PLEASE tell him to please stop mentioning my name,” the text message from presumably Kardashian says.

“I’m almost 67 years old and I don’t always feel great and this stresses me to no end,” Kardashian continued.

“Ya’ll don’t have so so over my children and where they go to school. They will not do playboy and sex tapes. Tell your Clinton friends to come get me. I’m here,” West replied.

West made fiery comments about the Clinton family in February 2022, when he published a photo of Kardashian’s now ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson.

Davidson has a tattoo of prominent Democrat Hilary Clinton. West posted an image of the tattoo and mocked Davidson and the Clintons by adding in another post, “THANK YOU TO ALL MY FANS FOR HAVING MY BACK. AND YOU CAN GOOGLE THE HILLARY THING IM NOT MAKING THIS SH*T UP.”

Davidson, a high-profile comedian, dated Kardashian after she got a divorce from kids’West, and got tattoos of West and Kardashian’s children. Davidson got the initials of Kardashian and West’s children on his neck and is now in trauma therapy following his break-up with Kardashian.

His comments about how “pornography destroyed” his family seem to reference Kim Kardashian’s rise to fame. A sex tape of her with the rapper Ray-J capitulated Kardashian into the spotlight and it is believed Kris Jenner, Kardashian’s mother, purposefully leaked the video.

A primary target of West’s Instagram attacks has been Adidas executive Daniel Cherry III.

Cherry is Adidas’ Senior Vice President and General Manager.

West is pushing the narrative that Cherry hijacked West’s Yeezy brand and broke the contract West held with Adidas. West believes Adidas execs like Cherry are stealing his designs and not respecting his design input, therefore, breaching his contract with the shoe and clothing brand.

Cherry recently joined Adidas and West believes he is the reason certain Yeezy products are being released “without my approval.”

New Evidence FBI,DOJ Conducted Illegal, Warrantless FISA Investigations Into US Office Holders, Donors

This latest bombshell is buried within a recently declassified, joint intelligence report from Attorney General Merrick Garland and Avril Haines, Director of National Intelligence.

The report is a “Semiannual Assessment” of whether US intelligence agencies, including the FBI, followed proper procedures under FISA section 702. Completed in September 2021, the document remained “Top Secret” until July 18, 2022.

Not surprisingly, the 82-page “Joint Assessment” produced by the Department of Justice and Office of the Director of National Intelligence is completely whitewashed. What this assessment continuously refers to as “compliance incidents” are, in fact, instances where FBI agents violated federal law and, in some cases, the constitutional rights of Americans.

The “reporting period” during which these violations occurred was from June 2019 until November 2019. At the time, the FBI’s Trump-Russia collusion hoax had blown wide open, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz was investigating the Carter Page FISA warrants, and the Trump impeachment witch hunt was well underway. Yet, this report repeatedly excuses these unlawful “compliance incidents” as being caused by “misunderstanding” and “error.”

One section of the report labeled “Query Errors Caused By Misunderstanding or Lack of Awareness,” describes a particularly disturbing incident where:

“FBI personnel conducted queries using United States persons identifiers to look for evidence of public corruption without having a reasonable basis to believe the queries would be likely to return evidence of a crime.”

“Without having a reasonable basis” means the FBI conducted these queries WITHOUT probable cause. While this is egregious, it’s not necessarily shocking. It’s the FBI, after all. However, what IS absolutely stunning is what’s buried in a tiny, overlooked, and partially redacted footnote attached to this incident.

To run these bogus queries, FBI personnel used the names, birth dates and business names of Americans who “either held public office [redacted]… or contributed money to the campaign of someone who had run for public office…”

Instagram fined €405m over children's data privacy

Irish regulators have fined Instagram €405m for violating children's privacy.

The long-running complaint concerned children's data - particularly their phone numbers and email addresses.

Some reportedly upgraded to business accounts to access analytics tools such as profile visits, without realising this made more of their data public.

Instagram's owner, Meta, said it planned to appeal against the decision. It is the third fine handed to the company by the regulator.

"We adopted our final decision last Friday and it does contain a fine of €405m [£349m]," Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) said.

'Engaged fully'

A Meta official told BBC News: "This inquiry focused on old settings that we updated over a year ago and we've since released many new features to help keep teens safe and their information private.

"Anyone under 18 automatically has their account set to private when they join Instagram, so only people they know can see what they post and adults can't message teens who don't follow them.

"While we've engaged fully with the DPC throughout their inquiry, we disagree with how this fine was calculated and intend to appeal it.

"We're continuing to carefully review the rest of the decision."

'Major breach'

The DPC regulates large technology companies with European headquarters in the Republic of Ireland.

It has never given such a large fine for a breach of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation.

But last year, it fined WhatsApp €225m, while Luxembourg's data authority fined Amazon a record €746m.

National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) child-safety-online policy head Andy Burrows said of Instagram's fine: "This was a major breach that had significant safeguarding implications and the potential to cause real harm to children using Instagram.

"The ruling demonstrates how effective enforcement can protect children on social media and underlines how regulation is already making children safer online.

"It's now over to the new prime minister to keep the promise to give children the strongest possible protections by delivering the Online Safety Bill in full and without delay."
