NATO head warns of Russian threat

As the conflict in Ukraine enters “a critical phase,” the West has to ‘pay a price’ to avoid the worst case scenario, Jens Stoltenberg said

The cost of providing support for Ukraine is high for the West, but it could be even higher if Russia expands its “aggression” to other countries, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said, claiming that “the war in Ukraine is entering a critical phase.”

In an opinion piece, published by the Financial Times on Wednesday, Stoltenberg claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had “clearly stated that he wants to wipe the country from the map and rewrite the European security order.” Therefore, NATO’s chief claimed, supporting Ukraine benefits the bloc’s own security.

“Emboldened by any success, Russia could risk further aggression against other neighbors, and even an attack on NATO allies,” he explained.

Since the launch of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine in late February, Baltic states and Poland have been asking the US and NATO for additional military support, citing the threat from Russia as the reason for these requests.

Moscow, in turn, has been insisting that the bloc’s expansion towards its borders was one of the reasons for the offensive in Ukraine.

In Stoltenberg’s opinion, the West has “a moral responsibility” to continue supporting Ukraine.

“If Russia stops fighting, there will be peace. If Ukraine stops fighting, it will cease to exist as an independent nation,” he explained.

Therefore, the secretary general said, the alliance members will continue to help Ukraine’s “transition from Soviet-era weapons to NATO-standard capabilities” and are now preparing “more than a dozen new projects” to help Kiev throughout the winter.

The next six months, Stoltenberg stressed, will be hard not only for the Ukrainians but also for their supporters, who will “pay a price,” including by suffering from the energy crisis.

“There are tough times ahead, but we have faced tough times together before,” Stoltenberg concluded.

Moscow has been consistently arguing that by “pumping up” Ukraine with weapons, Western countries are only prolonging the conflict and increasing the number of unnecessary casualties. In May, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that none of the actions taken by NATO, the US, or their allies would be able to prevent Russia from fulfilling the goals of its military operation.

When Anne Hill requested a copy of East Lansing, Michigan’s voter rolls, she little suspected she could be stepping into a snake pit of phantom voters. The quiet, intellectual blond with a ready smile had no inkling of the public attacks she was about to endure for bringing the facts to light. Then Hill found 9,000 ineligible voters on East Lansing’s official voter rolls. A full 36% of the city’s 26,000 voter registrants should not be on the rolls. Worse, 1,935 (21%) of those ineligible registrants voted in the 2020 election, and their ballots were counted. Turns out, the establishment found Hill’s discoveries a bit too itchy and scratchy.

Hill’s venture into the politics of personal destruction began in the autumn of 2020. The 16-year resident of East Lansing was volunteering on behalf of her neighborhood to work on a housing study of the City. Her efforts had alerted her to the public availability of the state’s official voter registration system through the Freedom of Information Act, which assures government transparency through the guarantee of public access to most government records.

“I FOIAed East Lansing’s Qualified Voter File and started doing a street-by-street, property-by-property study of East Lansing,” said Hill, who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Soon after receiving and opening the dataset of the Mich. Qualified Voter File, called the QVF, Hill began to see “oddities and anomalies” in the city, home to Michigan State University.

Fifty registered voters were listed as residing at non-existent addresses along a non-existent, street, Cherry Lane. “Fifteen of those registrants voted absentee in 2020,” Hill recalls.

She contacted the elections clerk. Maybe the residents were out-of-country military, the clerk speculated.

Hill checked. Only one of the voters met the age criteria for active military service. She drove to the site, and she found a park. Signage indicated Cherry Lane traversed through there until its demolition in 2011, 12 years ago.

Out of curiosity, Hill turned her attention to the university’s dormitories. She called the Assistant Vice President for Community Relations, Government Relations, and the person confirmed that 22 of MSU’s 28 dormitories were closed due to COVID in 2020. They were “lights out.” No one could possibly have lived in these buildings during the months leading up to and through the election. All residents of these dorms were forced to leave, “and no mail could be delivered.” Still, the QVF showed 1,738 voter registrants recorded as living at these closed dorms, and 276 of these registrants cast counted ballots.

Hill sorted the addresses of the local fraternities, sororities, and co-ops. The voters registered as residing in these student housing organizations tallied 526. A check of their ages revealed that 342 of these registrants were 40 or more years of age. Clearly, none of these old-timers still lived in these houses.

To Hill’s surprise, 11 middle-aged females, ranging from 48 to 53, were registered as living at a male fraternity house. No way.

Hill’s heart sank to see that 50 of these ghost dwellers had voted in the 2020 election.

What was going on?

Hill dug in. Over the course of the next six months, she researched East Lansing’s official rolls and verified her findings with additional credible data from sources like obituaries and deed transfer records. Her laundry list of anomalies grew to include:

·      1,472 votes from 5,713 voter registrants who no longer lived at the QVF-recorded address

·      85 votes attributed to registrants listed as living at residences sold prior to Sept. 30, 2020. (One registrant sold their home in 2003, two homes were sold in 2013, and their mailing address was in Germany.) 

·      5 votes from deceased persons. (Their skeletal remains had the courtesy to vote absentee.)

Hill became a supporter of Pure Integrity Michigan Elections (PIME) and the Election Integrity Force and Fund (EIF). She provided walk lists for volunteer canvassers who knocked on doors and collected stacks of affidavits proving duplicate, moved, and deceased registrants were still on the voter rolls and often voting. On their first walk, the volunteers knocked on 71 doors and interviewed 35 residents. They came away with 23 resident-signed affidavits, attesting to anomalies in the state’s official vote records. One volunteer snapped a photo and filled out an affidavit of an address that didn’t exist yet was recorded as housing registered voters.

UK Bans COVID Vax for Kids – Investigation Finds Vaccine Affects Sexual Development in Little Boys

Children aged 5-11 will no longer be offered Covid jabs, except those in clinical risk groups, UKHSA confirms

The decision to reduce the number of children who are offered Covid jabs has prompted outcry from parent groups and academics.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) said children who had not turned five by the end of last month would not be offered a vaccination, in line with advice published by the UK’s Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) in February 2022. UKHSA said the offer of Covid jabs to healthy five to 11-year-olds was always meant to be temporary.

UKHSA’s Green Book, which provides information on the vaccine rollout for public health professionals, states: “This one-off programme applies to those aged 5 to 11 years, including those who turn five years of age before the end of August 2022.

“Subject to further clarification, on-going eligibility in 2022/23, after the one off-programme, is expected to be for children in the academic years where children are aged 11 or 12 years.”

However, Prof Christina Pagel, of University College London, criticised the move.

“JCVI itself considered there to be a benefit to young children to be vaccinated – even if most of them had already been infected,” she said.

“There is also the additional benefit to children of providing additional protection from developing long Covid, missing school during the acute illness and reducing transmission to household members, other children and teachers.”

Pagel said that at least one serious Covid wave was expected later this year, but that many children about to start school would now have to wait six years for vaccination, with likely relatively frequent infections in that time.

“When we know there is a safe and effective vaccine available this seems unjustifiable to me,” said Pagel, adding that – while rare – children had died from Covid.

Adam Finn, professor of paediatrics at the University of Bristol, and a member of the JCVI, said that while the Covid vaccine programme for priming jabs would probably be wound down at some point, including for children, it had not been finalised when this would happen.

He pointed out that in the UK, the proportion of parents who had chosen to have their young children immunised had been small, despite the offer being open.

Hillary Clinton’s Nonprofit Gave $75,000 to Far-Left Extremist Group Trying to Dismantle Minneapolis Police Department

Hillary Clinton’s non-profit funneled $75,000 to a far-left extremist group that is working to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department.

Clinton’s organization, Onward Together, was launched in 2017 to oppose then-President Donald Trump.

According to a report from Fox News, sometime between April 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021, Onward Together gave Alliance for Youth Action a general support grant.

The AYA’s website refers to local law enforcement as a “publicly-funded policing system that was founded on slave patrols and continues to target and murder Black people.”

The site also ironically calls out the “progressive funding ecosystem that funnels money to Black youth organizations during federal election cycles and then retreats and remains silent when it’s time to fund local issue campaigns and hold elected officials accountable.”

“Centering Black people in our work means it is time to divest from police, and invest in Black futures. Defunding the police as part of the path towards abolition is one of the many steps that must be taken to ensure that Black people are able to thrive,” the organization says in their mission statement.

“As a network, we commit to ongoing learning about abolition, dismantling of white supremacy, and decentering of whiteness in our work,” the group states. “For individual organizations, this work includes providing extensive training on anti-racism for staff, focusing on issues that disproportionately impact people of color, incorporating racial justice and intersectional language in messaging, and integrating anti-racism into every aspect of the work including strategic plans.”

Fox reports that “in its 2021 annual report, the alliance also boasts that its affiliated Minnesota Youth Collective was a part of the Yes 4 Minneapolis coalition, which sought to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department last year.”

The extremist coalition was successful in getting a measure to dismantle the PD on the ballot, but it was rejected by voters.

Twitter Shares Pop 5% After Chancellor Rejects Musk's Request To Delay Trial

It looks as though the Twitter versus Elon Musk drama is going to continue on schedule, according to a ruling out this morning by Delaware Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick.

In the ruling, the court denied Musk's request to delay the upcoming trial over whether or not he should be forced to fulfill his obligation to buy Twitter for $44 billion. Musk's legal team had previously requested that the trial take place early next year, while Twitter originally requested the trial take place in October of this year.

Musk's legal team then changed their request and petitioned the court to have the trial start in mid-November, but the court ruled against them this morning. The trial is now expected to take place on October 17.

Shares of Twitter were up about 5% in early morning trading after the news broke:

McCormick's ruling seemed to make it clear that she wasn't interested in further delays. She wrote: “I previously rejected Defendants’ arguments in response to Twitter’s motion to expedite, making clear that the longer the delay until trial, the greater the risk of irreparable harm to Twitter. I am convinced that even four weeks’ delay would risk further harm to Twitter too great to justify.”

It wasn't a total loss for Musk's legal team, however. Their request that Musk would be allowed to add claims from a Twitter whistleblower to their suit was granted by the court. McCormick said there was a "low bar" for adding the claims that Musk's team was able to meet.

Hillary Clinton was fact-checked by history on Tuesday after she claimed classified documents were not transmitted on her unsecured private email server.

What did Clinton say?

The twice-failed presidential candidate took to social media to reject comparisons between herself and former President Donald Trump.

Supporters of the former president allege that he is being treated differently from Clinton despite the premise of their alleged wrongdoing — storing or retaining classified documents in an unsecured setting — being the same.

"As Trump’s problems continue to mount, the right is trying to make this about me again. There’s even a 'Clinton Standard.' The fact is that I had zero emails that were classified," Clinton tweeted.

Clinton's claim generated tens of thousands of responses because, in the words of Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton, the claim is "astonishingly false."

In fact, it was quickly highlighted in response that former FBI Director James Comey has directly disputed Clinton's claim.

At a press conference in July 2016, Comey revealed that Clinton's email server had sent or received more than 100 documents that were classified at the time they were transmitted and more than 2,000 others that were later classified.

From the group of 30,000 e-mails returned to the State Department, 110 e-mails in 52 e-mail chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at the time they were sent or received. Eight of those chains contained information that was Top Secret at the time they were sent; 36 chains contained Secret information at the time; and eight contained Confidential information at the time— that is the lowest level of classification.

Separate from those, about 2,000 additional e-mails were “up-classified” to make them Confidential; the information in those had not been classified at the time the e-mails were sent.

Constance Milstein is a co-founder of the shadowy Humpty Dumpty Institute, a foreign influence operation tied to Jeffrey Epstein's brother, the Chinese Communist Party, and powerful US officials.

Constance Milstein, Joe Biden’s Ambassador to Malta, co-founded the shadowy Humpty Dumpty Institute, a globalist “non-profit” that has been led by the brother of convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and is closely tied to the Chinese Communist Party.

Biden’s Ambassador to Malta, Constance “Connie” Milstein, co-founded the Humpty Dumpty Institute in 1998, along with Ralph Cwerman, William Rouhana, and Michael Sonnenfeldt. The latter of whom is the nephew of former US State Department official Helmut Sonnenfeldt, who was investigated in the 1960s for sharing American secrets with Israel.

From its birth, Mark Epstein, the brother of convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, had taken on a leading role in HDI, serving in high-level positions, including as HDI’s director and main financial backer, until at least 2019.

Though they’ve tried to scrub him from their public databases, Mark Epstein was listed on the Humpty Dumpty Institute’s website until as recently as December of 2020.

While serving as Biden’s Ambassador to Malta, Constance Milstein remains listed on the same Humpty Dumpty Institute website she formerly shared with Mark Epstein, and still appears on the active board of directors webpage, by the title of Board Chairman Emeritus.

As previously reported by National File, the Humpty Dumpty Institute is closely tied to the Chinese Communist Party and its People’s Liberation Army, through its partnership with the Taihe Institute “think tank.” Headquartered in Beijing, the Taihe Institute is led by high-level CCP members and PLA leadership. Members of the two groups, including current HDI board chairman Dr. Al Khalafalla, have even celebrated Chinese Communist revolutionary and mass murderer Mao Zedong, in a militaristic ceremony.

Apparently being himself no stranger to Joe Biden, Dr. Khalafalla attended Biden’s installation as America’s 46th President in January 2021, while national guard troops stood watch around the perimeter, to keep unticketed and unjabbed Americans out.

From HDI’s founding by Milstein and others, it has sought to penetrate global policy-making circles and play an active role in global affairs. HDI has hosted dozens of UN-ordained Congressional Staff Delegations to the United Nations, where its members rub elbows with global decision-makers and promote HDI as a critical liaison between Congress, the UN, and the powerful around the world.

HDI has long listed members of its Congressional Advisory Board on the organization’s website, and it has included the likes of anti-Trump House Intel Committee Chair Adam Schiff and J6 Committee ringleader Benny Thompson.

No stranger to uni-party politics, HDI has also counted Republicans among its ranks, including embattled ex-Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

During his time with the Bush Administration, Richard Grenell also worked closely with Milstein’s HDI, appearing as a speaker at several Congressional Staff Delegations and in photographs of “high-level” HDI meetings with UN officials and Congressional staffers.

HDI’s founders have boasted of countless additional meetings at the UN and around the globe, meeting with officials representing the United States, Communist China, Israel, and the UN as a body. The organization is featured numerous times in the United Nations web archives. In one photo, captured in 2003, all four of HDI’s founding members, including Milstein, are photographed with UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan.

John Fetterman Names Black Panther Cop Killer Ally for Board of Pardons

Fetterman, who points to the board as one of his main reasons for running for office, has voted to pardon convicted murderers

Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman nominated a self-described “friend” of cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal to serve on the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons. Fetterman has referred to the office as his “bully pulpit for criminal justice reform.”

Fetterman tapped Celeste Trusty to serve as secretary of the board in January. The Board of Pardons is currently part of the lieutenant governor’s responsibilities as lieutenant governor, which he presents as a centerpiece of his senate campaign,

Trusty, who served as Fetterman’s campaign political director, is a longtime prison reform activist who has called for the police to be disarmed, according to a report from the Washington Free Beacon. She is also an enthusiastic supporter of Mumia Abu-Jamal, who is currently serving a life sentence for the 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner.

Trusty has referred to Abu-Jamal as a “friend” and “my buddy,” and has said that she keeps in touch with him. Far-left activists have taken an interest in Abu-Jamal’s case in recent years, arguing his conviction was unjust.

John Fetterman has presented his work on criminal justice reform as a centerpiece of his U.S. Senate campaign, vowing to reduce Pennsylvania prison populations at all costs. The senate hopeful has bragged about “transforming” the lieutenant governor position by leading “the fight to free the wrongfully convicted and give second chances to deserving longtime inmates.

Fetterman’s board record has been met with a fair amount of criticism, however. He has voted to free numerous murderers, often going against the wishes of families of victims. Last year, John Fetterman was the only member of the five-person board who voted to pardon Wayne Covington, who was convicted of first-degree murder after robbing and killing an 18-year-old in order to buy heroin.

Covington pleaded guilty to killing 18-year-old George Rudnycky to death while high as part of a plea agreement, which he took in order to avoid the death penalty. He has been in prison since 1970, but Fetterman believes he should be freed.

Fetterman, who has pointed to the Board of Pardons as one of the main reasons he ran for lieutenant governor, has worked with Celeste Trusty on numerous occasions over the years. Both of them attended a “Power of a Pardon” event last year and have called for an end to mandatory life sentences for second-degree murder convictions.

In addition, Trusty previously served on Fetterman’s campaign. The radical leftist worked on the campaign from March 2021 until January 2022, according to Federal Election Commission records.

While Trusty does not vote on individual pardon applications, she oversees the board’s daily operations, moderates its hearings and advises board members, the Washington Free Beacon reported. It is unclear whether Fetterman holds Trusty’s view on freeing Abu-Jamal.

Estée Lauder heir settles lawsuit against NY socialite ex-mistress

Cosmetic heir William Lauder settled a lawsuit over a $7 million Bel Air mansion that caused an all-out legal battle between the Estée Lauder chairman and his former mistress, New York socialite Taylor Stein, The Post has confirmed.

According to court documents obtained by The Post, the Estée Lauder Companies executive chairman and Stein hashed out a settlement on August 9, but the terms of that agreement remain confidential.

Stein initially filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles in August 2018 claiming Lauder backed out of their agreement when he refused to make the annual payments for the sprawling five-bedroom, six-bathroom home as long as she, their teenage daughter and her brother lived there.

Stein also alleged Lauder continuously harassed her and hired high-profile private detective Jack Palladino to spy on her, sources told The Post.

Lauder fired back with his own lawsuit and claimed Stein breached their 2007 confidentiality agreement and a “non-disparagement” provision “several times over,” which he claims triggered a “clawback” provision that excused him from the requirement to pay for the home and would allow him to evict his baby mama and former mistress from the Bel Air mansion.

Under their 2007 agreement, Lauder had reportedly agreed to pay Stein $1 million for every year she kept quiet and did not publicly disclose that he was the father of her daughter.

Lauder, son of billionaire Leonard and Evelyn Lauder, wanted to keep his affair with the socialite out of the press.

Stein, the daughter of legendary nightclub owner Howard Stein, agreed she would not come within 100 yards of any Lauder family members in Palm Beach, Aspen and New York, according to a Forbes report.

In court documents, Lauder said he “had no interest” in kicking Stein, his daughter or Stein’s brother out, but said the socialite “should not stand to benefit personally for her breaches.”

The feuding exes did agree on one thing: They asked the court to seal various documents in the case because of the sensitive information regarding them and their love child.

According to minutes obtained by The Post, the judge on September 2 granted their joint motion to seal the documents to protect their teenage daughter.

The feud between the two began in 2020 after the couple’s then-13-year old posted to social media that her parents were divorced. Lauder said the post also violated the confidentiality agreement, sources said.

It is unknown if Stein will have to move from the residence, but according to the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder’s Office, Stein’s trust is still listed as the owner of the $7 million Bel Air mansion.

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she won’t be running for president in 2024 or ever again.

When asked by a CBS News reporter on Tuesday night whether she would run for president again, Clinton stated: “No, no.”

“But I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure that we have a president who respects our democracy and the rule of law and upholds our institutions,” the longtime Democrat and wife of former President Bill Clinton continued while criticizing former President Donald Trump, who defeated her in 2016.

Clinton suggested in the interview with CBS that she would not run if Trump decided to run for president in 2024 and said he “should be soundly defeated.”

Other than the 2016 loss, Clinton was defeated in the Democrat Party’s 2008 primary by then-presidential candidate Barack Obama.

New Bill Raises Fears of Big Tech–Media Collusion Against Independent Outlets

The bill, dubbed the Journalism Competition and Protection Act (JCPA), would supersede some existing antitrust laws and allow media companies to band together to negotiate with Big Tech platforms like Facebook, Google, and Twitter.

Specifically, the JCPA says: “A news content creator may not be held liable under the antitrust laws for engaging in negotiations with any other news content creator during the 4-year period beginning on the date of enactment of this Act to collectively withhold content from, or negotiate with, an online content distributor regarding the terms on which the news content of the news content creator may be distributed by the online content distributor.”

In brief, this means that online and print media outlets, including some of the largest and longest-established names in the industry, could band together in a kind of media union to demand concessions from tech companies in order for the coalition to continue to allow their content on the platform. Under existing antitrust laws, such cartels—which describe a collusion of firms in an industry to join together for a common financial or industry outcome—are decidedly illegal.

Proponents of the JCPA have presented it as a much-needed panacea to address dwindling numbers of dedicated local media companies who, proponents say, are often left behind in the umbrella of Big Tech algorithms and advertising capacity.

In a change.org petition that has garnered over 23,000 signatures, the News Media Alliance, one of the most outspoken supporters of the bill, explained this position, presenting it as a hardline position against the reach of big tech power and influence.

“Today, many local newspapers are struggling to stay in business. Big Tech platforms, such as Facebook and Google, control how we access trustworthy news online and how journalism is displayed, prioritized, and monetized. They capture the vast majority of all digital advertising dollars because of their outsized ability to collect consumer data.

“Local newspaper revenues have gone down and as a result, thousands of journalists have been laid off, ‘news deserts’ are emerging across the country, and dangerous misinformation that threatens the fabric of our democracy continues to flourish.”

‘Misinformation’ and ‘Extremism’

But opponents of the bill have raised alarm bells, warning that in practice the policy will only serve to benefit established legacy and mainstream outlets, to the exclusion of anti-establishment, independent publications.

Specifically, opponents point to a section of an updated draft of the JCPA that could effectively permit legacy media cartels to demand that tech platforms censor or outright refuse to permit newer, less-established media outlets from publishing on the platform.

Under the text of the bill, media cartels’ negotiations with tech platforms must go beyond mere monetary concessions.

In practice, critics fear, this could allow legacy media outlets to demand that smaller outlets peddling so-called “misinformation” or “fake news”—which many on the right see as a thinly-veiled catch-all term intended to denounce and delegitimize conservative outlets—be barred from publishing content on tech platforms.

Technically, the bill ensures that this will not happen.

New York Times Lauds ‘Hip’ Communist Fashion of Dictator Xi Jinping.

The New York Times has published a fawning article about the fashion choices of Chinese Communist tyrants including President Xi Jinping, posting to its social media account in the early hours of Wednesday morning about how “cool” the “look” is.

Article author Joy Dong (kek)– who The National Pulse understands is a former employee of the Chinese Communist state propaganda outfit Phoenix TV – begins her piece: “A dull blue jacket, oversize trousers, a Communist Party member pin adding a splash of red on the chest, a small briefcase in hand. It’s the typical dress of the typical Chinese official, and has long been the very opposite of the look that many young Chinese strive for. But now the cadre look is cool.”

The paragon of this determinedly dull look is China’s top leader, Xi Jinping. He is highly likely to win another five years in power in October, when about 2,300 delegates gather for a Communist Party congress in Beijing. Many of those officials will be wearing Western-style suits and ties for that special occasion. Back at the office, though, countless officials now sport the dark blue wind jacket favored by Mr. Xi.

This incident of peddling overt Chinese Communist propaganda is not a first for the New York Times, which has taken a bizarrely hard-line pro-communist position on Hong Kong.

In April 2021 The National Pulse revealed how several New York Times staff previously worked for the Communist Party’s state-run China Daily, including the current Director of Cinematography who admitted “working for the Communist Party of China.”

The New York Times is one of several Western news organizations that takes part in a “Marxist journalism school” in collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party, also first revealed by The National Pulse. Other outlets sponsoring “Marxist journalism” in China include CNN; the Financial Times; Reuters; and Bloomberg.

The Pulse also revealed in April 2021 how a number of Chinese Communist Party-linked groups – including the regime’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs – have subsidized trips to China for American journalists in an effort to “enhance” their understanding of U.S.-China relations since the 1990s.

The trips were supposed to elicit “favorable coverage” of the Communist Party in Western media. Which by the looks of today’s latest New York Times piece, they are currently reaping.

The photos that show Clinton sitting down with her legs not entirely together ended up on billboards, according to the outlet.

This was the first of several moments that tricked Clinton into thinking that pant suits were a viable alternative to, I don’t know, wearing tights?? Honestly though, this entire story feels like another failed attempt to appear “normal” and “down-to-Earth” while she promotes her new Apple TV+ show, “Gutsy.”

Clinton told the outlet that the gutsiest thing she ever did was stay in her marriage after her husband, former president Bill Clinton, had an affair with at least one other woman — Monica Lewinsky.

New Normal: EU President Calls for ‘Mandatory’ Energy Rationing to ‘Flatten the Curve’ of Demand

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called for the implementation of “mandatory” energy rationing throughout the EU during peak hours in order to “flatten the curve” of demand amid the largely self-inflicted energy crisis befalling the bloc.

In a stunningly poor public relations move, EU President Ursula von der Leyen harkened back to the early days of the Chinese coronavirus crisis when citizens across the world were told to accept a brief period of lockdowns to “flatten the curve” of Covid infections, though this ultimately proved false, with two weeks quickly turning into over two years of restrictions for many across Europe and beyond.

During a speech on Wednesday proposing energy rationing measures to be put in place before the Winter months when demand peaks, the EU president said: “During peak demand, the expensive gas comes into the market. So what we have to do is flatten the curve to avoid the peak demands, we will propose a mandatory target for reducing electricity use at peak hours and we will work very closely with the member states to achieve this.”

“These are tough times and they’re not over soon,” von der Leyen said. “But I am convinced that Europeans have the economic strength, the political will, and unity to keep the upper hand.”

The use of the same rhetoric from the early stages of the Wuhan virus outbreak is ominous given that there does not appear to be an end in sight for the energy crisis enrapturing the continent, meaning that energy rationing could become another “new normal” that citizens will be forced to accept.

Indeed, late last month, Ben van Beurden, the chief executive of multinational oil and gas giant Shell warned that Europe will face years of shortages, saying: “It may well be that we will have a number of winters where we have to somehow find solutions.”

A worrying 12% of manufacturers have already made job cuts as a direct result of increased energy bills, but admit that more drastic action such as full shutdowns and wider redundancies will be needed if the expected price hikes of over 50% materialise in the next 12 months.

High energy prices are no longer an issue for energy intensive industries only, the impact is being felt across manufacturers of all sectors and sizes. Companies have attempted to mitigate against this with 58% already adjusting business practices to reduce energy consumption by insulating buildings and installing better performing heat systems. And over half have already priced in the increases into their final product. Some 13% are now reducing production for short periods or avoiding production altogether during peak energy price periods, with 7% reducing production already for longer periods in the day. Over a third of firms are actively searching for a new energy provider and two fifths have renegotiated a fixed tariff for the next year.

Securing their own energy supply has become a priority for many manufacturers, with over a quarter (27%) of firms surveyed saying they have managed to find the funds and have already moved to onsite generation. One in 10 have redistributed capital from other parts of the business to cover energy costs while 7% have taken on new or further finance to cover rising energy bills. Over seven in ten have seen reduced margins or profits as they struggle to pay the bills, with almost every manufacturer we surveyed saying Government is not doing enough to support industry.

The UK is currently lagging way behind other EU counterparts who are offering far more emergency help for industry – the Italian Government for example has reduced levies placed on gas and electricity bills, reduced VAT and introduced tax credits for energy intensive industries.

To bring the critical help to UK businesses, the new Government urgently needs to take short term, medium term, and long-term action.

Police Shoot and Kill Deranged Pedophile After Judge Lets Him Loose on Bail

A Milwaukee man was shot and killed over the weekend following a police chase and subsequent shootout with officers. The man had recently pled guilty to having sex with a 13-year-old, but the judge overseeing his case let him out on bail. It was duing this time that he led police on a high speed chase after allegedly murdering his girlfriend and setting fire to his home.

The man, 47-year-old Ernest Terrell Blakney, killed his girlfriend, 36-year-old Nikia Rogers, and set fire to his home at around 4:30 am on August 25, per Fox 6.

An autopsy by the Milwaukee medical examiner found that Rogers had sustained four gunshots to the back and head.

Blakney was charged with first-degree reckless homicide, attempted mutilating a corpse, armed robbery, possession of a firearm by a felon, felony bail jumping, and false imprisonment.

Blakney and Rogers had gotten back together over the summer and a witness told police that the boyfriend was “crazy.” The witness stated that he received a text from the alleged murderer that read, “You should have left her alone.”

The witness asked for more details to which the Milwaukee man texted back “she dead” after he had set fire to the home on August 25. Blakney later showed up at the witness’ home covered in blood and soaking wet saying “she made me do it,” and that he “shot her.”

Police later found Blakney late September 2, roughly a week after the killing, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The man led officers on an extended car chase that spanned from the south side of the city to downtown.

He then engaged in a shootout with officers which led to him being killed by officers and a 22-year-old woman being caught in the crossfire. She was later taken to the hospital for her injuries and recovered.

The criminal was charged last year with second-degree sexual assault after he was found having sex with a 13-year-old. He pleaded guilty last month and was freed on bail byMilwaukee County Circuit Court Judge David Borowski.

Once again criminals released on bail have gone out to conduct more crime and in this case, it led to a death. Democrat localities should reconsider their bail system and instead of letting criminals out, they should ensure law-abiding citizens are safe by keeping criminals off the streets.

News Media Alliance Showers over $2.5 Million in Donations Lobbying to Advance Zombie Media Cartel Bill

The News Media Alliance, a trade association representing some of the most powerful media conglomerates, has flooded Congress with cash in lobbying and donations to advance the deceptively-named Journalism Competition and Protection Act (JCPA).

The Alliance and its allies in Congress have unveiled a new version of the JCPA that is “worse than the original,” according to Allum Bokhari, senior technology correspondent at Breitbart News. Bokhari warns that the bill “would strengthen legacy media and punish anti-establishment outlets.”

NMA’s board includes executives from the New York Times, the Washington Post, Newscorp, Heart, and Gannett Co.

To advance the legislation, the association has spent millions lobbying and donating to lawmakers.

For instance, the News Media Alliance spent $831,060 towards lobbying in 2022, hired 26 lobbyists to advance the bill, and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to hire lobbying firms, including Invariant LLC, Williams & Jensen, Fierce Government Relations, and Platinum Advisors DC.

The trade association for the legacy media has long spent significant sums of money to advance the bill. In 2020 alone, the organization spent $1,656,298 and hired 15 lobbyists to promote the bill.

All in all, the organization spent over $2.5 million trying to push the JCPA forward.

The News Media Alliance’s influence in Congress also extends to political donations to those who support and lead on the bill.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO), a member of the House Judiciary antitrust subcommittee and a key proponent of the bill, has received $1,500 during the 2022 midterm election cycle.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA), another supporter of the JCPA, received $3,000 from the News Media Alliance PAC.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) received $1,000 from the News Media Alliance in 2019.

Hawley’s office confirmed to Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle that he opposes the JCPA. Phil Letsou, Hawley’s spokesman, said he has been skeptical of the proposal and opposes antitrust exemptions such as the one that the JCPA would create for news media outlets.

The News Media Alliance’s donations also extend to the 2020 cycle, including:

As many have benefitted from their support of the JCPA, many conservatives have opposed the legislation, believing it would create a media cartel that would only benefit the largest and most powerful media groups.

House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) called the JCPA the “antithesis of conservativism. House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-OH) said it would suppress competition.

A growing number of Senate conservatives have opposed the bill, such as Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Tom Cotton (R-AR), and Mike Lee (R-UT).

On Tuesday, Cotton said every conservative should oppose the JCPA. He said that Nadler cited “widespread misinformation” as a rationale to support the group.

“In other words, they know this cartel will censor conservatives,” Cotton contended.

He continued, “Of all the problems we have today with inflation, high gas prices, and a wage decline, why should Republicans focus on a bailout for the media and big tech? This bill will help massive corporations–it is NOT limited to small, local broadcasters.”

Judge: Facebook Repeatedly Violated Campaign Finance Law

Facebook violated laws and now is ordered to pay fines. A recent ruling by King County Superior Court Judge Douglass North ascertained that Social Media giant Facebook, now known as Meta, intentionally violated campaign-ad transparency laws and must pay yet-to-be-determined penalties.

The Washington State law, passed in 1972, indicates ad sellers “must disclose the name and address of political ad buyers, and metrics such as the total number of ad views generated,” the Seattle Times reported. Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s office has sued Facebook more than one time.

Judge North granted Ferguson’s motion for judgment against Facebook. The action was initially filed in July, making claims of multiple violations, according to the Attorney General’s office in a press release. Following Friday’s hearing, Ferguson stated, “On behalf of the people of Washington, I challenge

Facebook to accept this decision and do something very simple - follow the law.”

Repeated objections by Facebook indicated the law is an “outlier” that “unduly burdens political speech.”

Facebook suggested the law is “virtually impossible to comply with.” In court, the judge rejected the company’s arguments, noting that it did not prove it was unable

to comply with the law. He said, “This is clearly a very appropriate subject for disclosure, and the law is very constitutional.” Violations of the law in such matters can potentially garner penalties up to $10,000 per violation.

The Attorney General’s office claimed that, since 2018, Facebook had committed hundreds of violations.

If law violations are intentional, the fee demanded can be tripled. Additionally, in 2018 and 2020, Facebook faced lawsuits for not disclosing campaign advertising records. Friday’s summary judgment was part of the 2020 charges as the company, according to The Olympian, “continued to run Washington political ads without maintaining the required information.” Fees ordered to be paid by Facebook after the 2018 lawsuit totaled $238,000.

94% of Baby Food Contains Toxic Metals

The Food and Drug Administration does nothing to protect the American public. We have yet another revelation of products intended for infants containing toxic substances. Healthy Babies Bright Futures’ (HBBF) conducted a study of 288 products, including over 7,000 from other previously published studies. “We found no evidence to suggest that homemade purees and family brands are generally safer, with lower metal levels, than store-bought baby food,” HBBF warned.

Even WebMD is reporting on this crime. Around 94% of store and homemade baby foods contained at least one toxic heavy metal. The organization warns against consuming puffs, rice cakes, crisped rice cereal, and brown rice when cooked without additional water. These items have actual arsenic within them, and both children and adults are at risk. Yes, the FDA approved these items. In fact, arsenic was found in 68% of store-bought food and 72% of family homemade food. Lead was detected in 90% of store-bought food and 80% of family homemade purees.

This means that almost ALL available “food” for babies contains toxins.

The American Academy of Pediatrics warned, “Toxic metal exposure can be harmful to the developing brain. It’s been linked with problems with learning, cognition, and behavior.” Perhaps this is a variable for why autism and other problems have spiked within the US.

The proposed solution:

"The FDA should establish and enforce protective limits for heavy metals in all foods consumed by babies and young children. Heavy metal contamination spans all the food aisles of the grocery store; FDA’s safety standards must as well. Putin: Almost all Ukraine grain goes to EU countries

Russian President, Vladimir Putin, said on Wednesday that almost all Ukraine's grain was transported to the EU countries, Anadolu News Agency reports.

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Wednesday, Putin warned that an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe may arise in the world because the West exports most of the Ukrainian grain to its countries, and not to the countries in need in Africa.

"All, almost all grain exported from Ukraine is sent, not to the developing poorest countries, but to the EU countries.

"Under the UN World Food Program, which implies assistance to countries in need, only two ships were loaded, I emphasise, only two out of 87, and 60,000 tons of food were exported on them of the 2 million tons, this is only 3 per cent that is sent to developing countries," the President said.

Putin added that many European countries act as colonisers, deceiving developing countries.

A Joint Coordination Centre with officials from the three countries and the UN has been set up in Istanbul to oversee the shipments.

Police Search Democrat County Official’s Home in Connection with Las Vegas-Review Journal Reporter’s Murder

Law enforcement on Wednesday served search warrants in connection with the murder of Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German.

Police officers on Wednesday were spotted at the home of Robert Telles, a county official that Jeff German had been reporting on recently.

Telles, a Democrat, lost his re-election bid in June’s primary after Jeff German exposed the hostile work environment in the Democrat official’s office.

Jeff German had also recently filed a public records request on emails and text messages between Telles and others in his office, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

Telles reportedly had an “inappropriate relationship” with a subordinate staffer.

Telles has denied the accusations.

Authorities served search warrants Wednesday morning in connection with the slaying of Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German, Las Vegas police said.

Around 7 a.m., reporters observed uniformed officers and police vehicles outside the home of Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles, who had been the focus of recent reporting by German. Authorities also had taped off a section around Telles’ home.

Shortly before 9 a.m., police said they were serving search warrants in the 7200 block of Bronze Circle, where the killing occurred.

“No further information will be provided at this time,” police said in a statement.

German spent months reporting on the turmoil surrounding Robert Telles’ oversight of the office. The 45-year-old Democrat lost his re-election bid in June’s primary after German’s findings were published. German also had recently filed public records requests for emails and text messages between Telles and three other county officials: Assistant Public Administrator Rita Reid, estate coordinator Roberta Lee-Kennett and consultant Michael Murphy. Lee-Kennett was identified in previous stories as a subordinate staffer allegedly involved in an “inappropriate relationship” with Telles.

New York Jewish school secretly kept on staffer who ‘resigned’ over abuse scandal

A Jewish day school in New York secretly continued to employ a staff member whose resignation it had previously announced in the fallout of a child sex abuse scandal that rocked the community a year ago.

The secret employment of the Schechter School of Long Island’s director of student life Mike Hirsch was orchestrated by SSLI’s head of school Scott Sokol and associate head of school Ofra Hiltzik, one current and two former employees of the school confirmed to The Times of Israel.

The board of trustees at SSLI — which serves roughly 250 students between kindergarten and 12th grade and is part of the Conservative movement’s Schechter Day School Network — was made aware of Sokol and Hiltzik’s actions earlier this summer but has allowed both of them to remain in their positions, the three staffers said last month.

The revelation regarding the secret employment of Hirsch shows the extraordinary lengths to which SSLI’s senior leadership was willing to go in order to protect the problematic employee.

Hirsch allegedly failed to report repeated allegations of abuse made against a senior USY staffer that took place more than 15 years ago when Hirsch was a counselor for the Conservative denomination’s United Synagogue Youth (USY) movement.

Furthermore, Hirsch has himself been written up in his SSLI personnel file for inappropriate touching and behavior with male students.

Suspension, ‘resignation,’ employment

Hirsch, 43, was employed at both SSLI and USY when The Times of Israel published an exposé in August 2021 about decades-long abuse in the latter institution. A former USY member said he confided in Hirsch that another senior staff member in his mid-30s had masturbated in front of him in the bathroom and urged him to join when he was 15 years old. The former USY member said Hirsch urged him to continue relaying incidents of sexual misconduct by the senior staffer, which the teenager did, but that Hirsch never reported these incidents to his employers.

After The Times of Israel’s exposé was published, Hirsch was immediately suspended from both workplaces for allegedly not reporting the sexual abuse accusations.

A spokesperson for USY said Hirsch’s employment was terminated in December 2021 and that he had been barred from participating in any events of the youth movement, where he had most recently served as engagement associate. The Times of Israel spoke with two sources familiar with the matter who confirmed this to be the case.

SSLI, whose students returned to classes on Tuesday for the new school year, handled Hirsch’s case very differently.

Israeli comptroller to push climate issues at global UAE conference

State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman is set to become the first Israeli president of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions ever.

State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman will push for the global comptrollers’ network to host an event at the next global climate conference in the United Arab Emirates to grade nations according to their commitments on the issue, he told The Jerusalem Post in an exclusive interview Wednesday.

“The dangers of climate change are critical and substantial. I intend to continue to follow the issue. I will act, in cooperation with other EUROSAI comptrollers to carry out joint oversight. In addition, I will act to establish an event which will address oversight regarding climate change at the global climate change conference in Abu Dhabi in November 2023,” said Englman.

Englman, who in 2023 is due to become the first Israeli president of EUROSAI – a body of comptrollers for around 50 countries mostly from Europe – spoke to the Post alongside current EUROSAI president and Czech Republic State Comptroller Mr. Miloslav Kala, who visited Israel this week.

He said, “I thank Mr. Kala for his support of my candidacy for the presidency of EUROSAI. We will cooperate in the EUROSAI framework toward improving and enhancing the Israeli State Comptroller’s Office.”

Kala visited Israel to consult on preparations for a major EUROSAI strategic general conference that Israel will host in 2024 when Englman becomes president.

In an interview along with Englman, Kala said, “From the point of view of the EU… our plans to fight against climate change are very fast and very strong. But now we have this energy crisis. We recognize the will of our governments is not so strong. In our country, we are opening some coal energy power stations…. From the point of view of the state auditor, we should wait for stabilization of the situation and after that, to continue on this very important point.”

Part of the reason for the current global energy crisis has been Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and all of the spin-off conflicts it has created.

Regarding Russia, Kala said, “I can represent the official statement of the governing board of EUROSAI, which declared we will not invite Russian and Belorussian auditors to meetings up until the end of this crisis.”

He added that Russia’s representative on INFOSAI, the world body of auditors, had to resign from the presidency.

In preparation for the next INFOSAI meeting in a few months, he said EUROSAI is preparing for any issues related to Russia, including “preparing our new statement for this situation, but generally we hope the conflicts between the states should be solved peacefully and not by using guns.”

Sources close to Englman said if Russia’s representative to INFOSAI does attend as a regular member and tries to speak, various countries may stage a walkout.

CBP Officers Seize $11.9 Million in Methamphetamine at Del Rio Port of Entry

DEL RIO, Texas—In the largest methamphetamine seizure in port history, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) officers at Del Rio Port of Entry seized methamphetamine valued at $11.9 million within a tractor trailer.

“This is a massive seizure of methamphetamine, it is largest in the history of the port and it reflects the steadfast commitment of our officers to the CBP border security mission and their effective application of technology, training and experience,” said Port Director Liliana Flores, Del Rio Port of Entry.

The seizure occurred on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022, at the Del Rio International Bridge when a CBP officer referred a 2016 Kenworth tractor hauling a shipment of diesel tank reservoir containers for a secondary inspection. The tractor trailer was referred for a canine and non-intrusive inspection system examination, resulting in the discovery of 320 packages containing 1,337 pounds of alleged methamphetamine within the shipment. The narcotics had an estimated street value of $11.9 million.

CBP seized the narcotics. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Homeland Security Investigations (ICE-HSI) special agents are investigating the seizure.
