Former Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker on Thursday slammed the man who he succeeded, saying former AG Bill Barr's recent embrace of the Justice Department raid on Donald Trump flew in the face of all the wrongdoing he himself exposed in the discredited Russia collusion case.

"Bill Barr continues for some reason to be an institutionalist when it comes to the Department of Justice, even though based on what he presided over, he should know better," Whitaker said on the Thursday edition of Just the News, Not Noise.

"We have seen far too many examples as it relates to Donald Trump, and investigations into Donald Trump, that the Department of Justice just doesn't seem to follow its own traditions, rules and ethical considerations," Whitaker continued.

Whitaker gave his take on Trump being granted a special master by a federal judge to look over the documents seized from his home Mar-a-Lago.

"I think it's a very helpful fact, if you're for a special master being appointed," Whitaker stated. "Several of the documents that weren't included in the search warrant and authorized to be grabbed included the passports, medical records, attorney client privilege documents, accounting records and potentially tax returns."

Whitaker also pointed out that the FBI "taint team" was not very effective with filtering out what was and wasn't authorized regarding the search warrant.

"This was a very broad warrant," Whitaker concluded. "And obviously, Judge Cannon was not impressed by the taint team's work, and just forwarded much of this information on to the investigative team."

Google Keeps Truth Social Banned From App Store Over Content Moderation While Facebook, Instagram Broadcast Shooting Spree

Former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social remains banned from Google Play over content moderation after Facebook and Instagram air live shooting spree.

Android users may still download the Facebook and Instagram applications from Apple and Google’s online marketplaces Thursday morning, while former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social remains banned over content moderation.

On Wednesday, both platforms still available for download by Meta were used by 19-year-old Ezekiel Kelly Thursday night to broadcast a shooting spree that left four people dead, according to police.

“No faking, this s–t for real,” said the crazed gunman on Facebook livestream as he walked into an AutoZone and shot a man point blank.

While apps for Facebook and Instagram remain in the Google Play store, Android users are barred from downloading Truth Social.

Last week, Google announced Trump’s free speech-branded Twitter alternative would continue to suffer an app store ban until the platform embraced Silicon Valley’s censorship regime and adopted proper content moderation policies.

“On Aug. 19, we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play,” the Mountain View-based company told CNBC.

The announcement coincided with a hit piece from the New York Times published one day prior smearing Truth Social as a haven for extremism.

Headlined, “QAnon Accounts Found a Home, and Trump’s Support, on Truth Social,” the paper highlighted a few dozen accounts supposedly associated with QAnon to justify the platform’s destruction, despite more than half a million active users.

The allied censorship regime between corporate media and big tech is closely following the Parler playbook, where Apple, Google, and Amazon colluded to de-platform the rival social media company.

In January last year, the three tech giants stripped Parler from their services, citing extremist content on the platform leading up to the Capitol riot. Twitter and Facebook, however, each fostered the same activity on their own platforms during the same time frame.

Trump Media & Technology Group CEO Devin Nunes on Thursday derided the Securities and Exchange Commission for interfering in its merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp.

In a Truth Social post, Nunes said "NO MORE BS!" and included a link to the company's statement on the matter.

"The SEC has needlessly delayed its review of our proposed merger, causing real and unnecessary financial harm to DWAC investors, roughly 90 percent of whom are small, retail shareholders whom the SEC is chartered to protect," the statement reads.

"Despite its standard practice to provide comments within 30 days, the SEC has failed to give meaningful feedback on DWAC’s registration statement for a stunning 115 days and counting. In the interests of simple fairness, the SEC needs to set aside any improper political considerations and bring its review to a swift conclusion," it concluded.

Digital World announced its board members had received subpoenas in June, amid probes from the SEC and Department of Justice into the merger. The merger would put the company on track for public trading.

Earlier this week, Trump Media told Just the News it would "continue cooperating with all stakeholders in connection with its planned merger, and hopes the SEC staff will expeditiously conclude its review free from political interference."

Rumors previously circled that Truth Social and its parent company, Trump Media, were experiencing financial difficulties, but the company denounced that notion as "knowingly false bar talk" in June.
