IG REPORT SUMMARY PP 228-240

Anderson told OIG she told Comey that criticizing HRC's uncharged conduct made their conclusions "less assailable."

Baker said that many conservative FBI employees hated HRC.

Attorney #1 said she had advised that the 7/5 statement would violate the Department's Election Year Sensitivities Policy, even though said policy only applies to election crimes cases.

Baker divulged that Comey was "aggressive" in telling Lynch and Yates that their failure to prohibit him constituted permission to give the 7/5 press conference. They did not even ask what he was going to say. McCabe made a self-exculpatory statement about why he went along with the press conference.

Comey claimed to have received agreement from Chuck Rosenberg after hand wringing. Rosenberg said that Comey had done "wrestling" with the decision, which was "outside the norm." Comey said he did not inform Department leaders about his decision because he was afraid he would be "instructed not to do it."

TARMAC

WJ Clinton claimed he didn't know his plane was parked only 30 yards from Lynch's until his staff told him. And then he just wanted to "say hello" to her, you see—grandkids, 100 degrees, etc. Of course, Lynch was SHOCKED to see him. OIG found no evidence to support what was discussed.

OIG summarizes what Clinton/Lynch claimed to have said, blah blah blah. Oh no, of COURSE they didn't discuss anything inappropriate (disregarding that the entire meeting was stunningly inappropriate). Why, they talked grandkids and golf. A shocking mishmash of BS testimony not worthy of further recap. Then of course they were warned that their idiotically transparent meeting might be inappropriate. Who knew?
