You Won't Believe Who's Giving Up on Green Energy
Stephen Green
12:08 PM on September 14, 2022
Green energy is the pipe-dream of coastal elitists, billion-dollar grifters, Big Government idolizers, idle urbanites, and just plain malinformed people who think electricity comes out of the wall.
But one of those coastal elites has finally had enough, saying now that “U.S. energy policy today has to be the arsenal of democracy” and the “engine of economic growth” that will some day make possible a “transition to a low-carbon economy.”
It only took seven months of brutal warfare financed by Russian oil profits made possible by Presidentish Joe Biden’s war on domestic energy production, but Thomas Friedman has joined Donald Trump and Sarah Palin in the “Drill, Baby, Drill!” fan club.
And Friedman did it on the opinion page of the Left’s Holy of Holies: The opinion page of the The New York Times.
Can you fracking believe it?
You remember Thomas Friedman, don’t you? He’s the author and New York Times columnist who once admitted longing for Beijing-style authoritarianism right here at home.
“What if we could just be China for a day?” Friedman pondered on Meet the Press in 2010. “You know, I mean, where we could actually, you know, authorize the right solutions.”
China is big on clean energy, or at least purports to be. Electric vehicles actually make a lot of sense for a country with literally hundreds of millions of people tightly crammed into coastal urban megalopolises. (Shouldn’t that be “megalopoli?” Anyway, SpellCheck disagrees.)
On the other hand, China is happy to pollute like mad, making and selling us the endless solar panels demanded by our green energy overlords.
That’s why I was actually shocked at just how reality-based Friedman sounds here:
The most important factor for quickly expanding our exploitation of oil, gas, solar, wind, geothermal, hydro or nuclear energy is giving the companies that pursue them (and the banks that fund them) the regulatory certainty that if they invest billions, the government will help them to quickly build the transmission lines and pipelines to get their energy to market.
Greens love solar panels but hate transmission lines. Good luck saving the planet with that approach.
Deregulation? Telling the green energy fanatics to take a hike? Where’s this Thomas Friedman been all my life?…

Russian-led military bloc claims website was hacked
The CSTO website went down for several hours while attempts were made to edit some informational messages
The Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has reported that its website has been targeted by hackers who tried to take the site down via a DDOS attack.
The military bloc, which includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, announced on its Telegram channel that the attack on the website began on Tuesday night at around 11pm and lasted until at least 7am the next day.
While the website has since partially regained functionality, the CSTO notes that measures are still being taken to localize unauthorized interference and restore damaged or lost data.
It’s also stated that the attackers made several unauthorized attempts to make changes to some informational messages on the website. No details on which specific messages were targeted or who might have been behind the attack have been provided by the block as of yet.
The cyberattack comes as Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development has recently revealed that the number of attacks on Russia’s infrastructure of remote electronic voting has exceeded 35,000 during the course of the recently finished regional elections across the country on September 11.
It has also been reported that Moscow’s online voting system came under over 10,000 DDOS attacks during the three-day municipal elections. Vadim Kovalyov, who led Moscow’s 2022 public election observation headquarters, stated, however, that none of the attacks managed to cripple the system and that no significant incidents occurred as a result .

EU brands its own member state an ‘autocracy’
The largely symbolic move comes as Brussels reportedly prepares to slash funding to Hungary
The European Parliament voted on Thursday to brand Hungary an “electoral autocracy.” The symbolic declaration comes as the rift between Budapest and Brussels widens, with the EU accusing Hungary of corruption and Prime Minister Viktor Orban of breaking with the bloc on immigration and anti-Russian sanctions.
In a 433 to 123 vote, the parliament agreed to no longer consider Hungary a “democracy,”and instead to label it a “hybrid regime of electoral autocracy.”
In its report on Hungary’s political system, EU lawmakers alleged that the country’s elections and judicial independence are compromised, and that Orban’s government has restricted the rights of migrants, minorities, and the LGBT community. The report’s conclusions were based on an “increasing consensus among experts,” the document read.
Hungary countered that the report “is based on subjective opinions and politically biased statements,” and is “yet another attempt by the federalist European political parties to attack Hungary and its Christian-democratic, conservative government.”
The report calls on the European Commission to “make full use of the tools available” to force Budapest back in line with “European values.”
The vote came a day after Bloomberg reported that the European Commission may withhold more than €40 billion in funding for Hungary over allegations of corruption by Orban’s government. The commission began investigating these allegations shortly after Orban’s Fidesz party was re-elected in a landslide victory in April.
The European Parliament in 2018 voted to trigger Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union against Hungary in response to Orban’s crackdown on immigration and supposed defiance of the bloc’s “core values.” If ratified by the Council of Europe, this move could deprive Hungary of its membership rights or subject it to sanctions.
In addition to heavily restricting immigration, Hungary has more recently clashed with the EU over the bloc’s response to the conflict in Ukraine. Hungary has refused to allow weapons to enter Ukraine from its territory, has opposed sanctions on Russian fossil fuels, and has upped its own purchases of gas from Russia.

Vitaly Sovin: The US propaganda machine is playing dirtier than ever in its information war against Russia
From Taliban ‘bounties’ to claims about North Korea, the US media’s ‘anonymous sources’ are weaponizing ‘fake news’
After the publication of a recent story in the New York Times based on allegedly ‘declassified materials’ from US intelligence agencies about Russia’s ‘purchase’ of millions of artillery shells and missiles from North Korea for use in Ukraine, something went awry.
Against the backdrop of statements from representatives of the State Department and the Department of Defense, who did not provide any factual information,John Kirby, the US National Security Council’s coordinator for strategic communications, walked it back. He conceded that there were no indications that the arms purchase had actually occurred yet, or that any North Korean munitions had made it onto the battlefield in Ukraine.
The narrative, however, serves a number of purposes:
Highlighting the “serious logistical problems” for Russia and its local allies in the context of the military operation in Ukraine;
Demonstrating the effectiveness of US and EU export control measures, which China also apparently complies with;
Insinuations about Russia’s ‘forced’ recourse to ‘rogue states’ such as North Korea and Iran for military assistance. Pyongyang is under a strict arms embargo by the UN Security Council, and any supply of arms and materiel from the country would be considered a violation of international sanction;
Settling scores with Pyongyang for its recognition of the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and the potential deployment of North Korean workers to the liberated territories to rebuild civilian infrastructure.
The current situation is reminiscent of events that occurred two years ago, when the New York Times, in June 2020, was the source of a fake story alleging that Russian military intelligence had offered Taliban-linked fighters ‘bounties’ for killing US troops in Afghanistan.
Democratic Senator Robert Menendez then proposed a sanctions package called the Russian Bounty Response Act of 2020, which included asset freezes and visa restrictions on Moscow’s top leadership. Menendez’s proposal was supported by US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Democrat), who said that sanctions on Russia for ‘collusion’ with the Taliban should be imposed immediately.
Then-President Donald Trump called the New York Times’ story “fake.” Trump later confirmed that US intelligence agencies had found it to be untrue. Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said there was no evidence of ‘Russian collusion’ with Taliban officials. The Taliban also denied the claims.
In the run-up to the 2020 presidential election, the ‘Russia’ factor was used in Democratic Party circles to point the finger at Trump for his failures on Afghanistan. The very next year, under President Joe Biden, the US infamously withdrew its military, leaving over $7 billion worth of weapons behind, according to the Pentagon.
With the midterm election scheduled for November and the Ukrainian army suffering significant losses, the US continues to play dirty in its use of information warfare.
It is clear that if Biden’s Democrats win, the anti-Russia campaign in its various manifestations will only intensify.

US can’t save EU from energy crisis – FT
Shale industry representatives say they can’t boost output on short notice
The US is not able to ease the EU’s energy crunch by increasing its shipments of oil and gas, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday, citing shale industry executives.
“It’s not like the US can pump a bunch more. Our production is what it is. There’s no bailout coming, not on the oil side, not on the gas side,” Wil VanLoh, the head of private equity group Quantum Energy Partners, one of the largest shale industry investors, told the news outlet.
Europe is grappling with a growing energy shortage, trying to secure new sources of supplies while moving away from Russian energy. Analysts fear that the upcoming EU embargo on Russian oil will send prices to new record highs. According to the International Energy Agency, oil sales from Russia could fall by almost 20% when the EU embargo takes full effect, which is a vast amount for the global market to lose with Russia being one of the world’s largest petroleum exporters. Over the past several months, Europe has increased purchases of oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the US, but according to shale industry executives, there is not much more they can do.
“We’re not adding [drilling] rigs and I don’t see anyone else adding rigs,” Scott Sheffield, the CEO of Pioneer Natural Resources, one of the biggest oil producers in the US, told FT. According to the report, the overall number of operating oil rigs in the US has not grown in weeks, while the productivity of those in operation has dropped.
Moreover, despite recent calls from Washington for the shale industry to hike production to lower prices at the pump at home, experts say that investors are unlikely to allow it.
“Investors generally don’t want shale companies to pursue a growth model… The capital availability is extremely limited,” Ben Dell, the chief executive of private equity group Kimmeridge Energy, was cited as saying. In other words, there is no way to be sure that prices will stay high long enough to make up for the cost of drilling new wells.

So Bidan fucked himself and can’t fake that prices are dropping before the elections. Companies are not buying the BS. He’s only trying to help the EU and not the US
Hank Johnson Says Parents at School Board Meetings Were ‘Just Like’ January 6 — MAGA ‘Coordinated Attack’
Jordan Dixon-Hamilton15 Sep 2022
During the 2020-21 school year, parents across the county protested school board meetings, primarily over strict coronavirus lockdowns and critical race theory being introduced into children’s classrooms.
Johnson went on to compare parents who protested school board meetings to the Capitol rioters.
“And people on the local level at affected school board meetings they won’t forget the MAGA Republicans descending on their school board meetings after January 6. Like January 6, disrupting meetings,” Johnson said. “It was a quote coordinated attack happening across the country Americans won’t forget about it.”
Johnson also referenced an October letter the National School Boards Association (NSBA) sent to the Biden administration demanding federal law enforcement’s help for the protesting parents, who they viewed as “domestic terorrists.”
“School board members, teachers, administrators subjected to violence, threats of violence, harassment, intimidation and in response to that the National School Boards Association sent a letter to the Biden administration seeking federal help things had gotten so far out of hand,” Johnson continued…

Report: Facebook Spied on Messages of Conservatives Questioning 2020 Election, Sent Them to FBI
Lucas Nolan15 Sep 2022
A recent report claims that Facebook has been spying on the private messages of American users and reporting them to the FBI if they express anti-government sentiments or question the 2020 election.
The New York Post reports that Facebook has been spying on the private messages and data of American users. The company has reportedly been informing the FBI of users that express anti-government or anti-authority sentiments. Sources within the DOJ allege that the company also reported users that questioned the validity of the 2020 election.
As part of an FBI collaboration operation, an employee at Facebook red-flagged private messages containing such sentiments over the past 19 months, transmitting redacted versions to the domestic terrorism operational unit at the FBI headquarters in Washington, DC. This was all done without a subpoena.
One anonymous source stated: “It was done outside the legal process and without probable cause. Facebook provides the FBI with private conversations which are protected by the First Amendment without any subpoena.”
The private messages were shared as “leads” to FBI field offices around the U.S. which then requested subpoenas from the partner U.S. Attorney’s Office in their district to obtain the private conversations they had already been provided with by Facebook.
However, when the Facebook users were investigated, they were not found to be involved in anything criminal or violent. One source stated: “It was a waste of our time.”
All of the Facebook users red-flagged as possible terrorists were “conservative right-wing individuals,” one source said. “They were gun-toting, red-blooded Americans [who were] angry after the election and shooting off their mouths and talking about staging protests. There was nothing criminal, nothing about violence or massacring or assassinating anyone.”
The source continued: “As soon as a subpoena was requested, within an hour, Facebook sent back gigabytes of data and photos. It was ready to go. They were just waiting for that legal process so they could send it.”
Erica Sackin, spokesperson for Communications, Dangerous Organizations and Individuals at Facebook (now known as Meta), denied the allegations, stating:
These claims are false because they reflect a misunderstanding of how our systems protect people from harm and how we engage with law enforcement. We carefully scrutinize all government requests for user information to make sure they’re legally valid and narrowly tailored and we often push back. We respond to legal requests for information in accordance with applicable law and our terms and we provide notice to users whenever permitted.
But in an “updated statement,” Sackin changed her language to say that the claims were “wrong,” not “false.” The adjusted statement reads:
These claims are just wrong. The suggestion we seek out peoples’ private messages for anti-government language or questions about the validity of past elections and then proactively supply those to the FBI is plainly inaccurate and there is zero evidence to support it,” said Sackin, a DC-based crisis response expert who previously worked for Planned Parenthood and “Obama for America” and now leads Facebook’s communications on “counterterrorism and dangerous organizations and individuals.

Does that mean that Trump team knew? And if she planted the docs dont they have cctv so she would have been viewed while planting the docs
Pottinger should have been kicked out for inviting Birx into the WH task force. He’s a big supporter of China snd their policies and married to a chinese wife that worked for Birx. Posted this info on pottinger weeks ago. Birx wrote about him in her book
So was FBI trying to give them cover? Any other professional atty would have demanded to be there, why didnt they do anything except sit outside
