The Real Inconvenient Truth: Arctic Sea Ice Has Grown Since 2012

Will this put a damper on the plan to cool the poles with sulphur dioxide?

Global warming paused, polar bears thriving, more coral on the Great Barrier Reef than you can shake a stick at – it’s been a difficult gig for climate alarmists of late. But there is always the melting Arctic ice, and the prospect of the Greenland ice sheet slipping off its perch and ending up in your front room. Alas, even that old standby is looking shaky, with evidence gathering that the ice is no longer melting as fast as in the recent past. On August 16th, summer sea ice in the Arctic was at its third highest extent since 2007.

According to the U.S.-based National Snow and Ice Data Centre (NSIDC), the northern sea route along Eurasia “may not become ice free” this year for the first time since 2007. Preliminary estimates by NSIDC suggest a 30% chance that sea ice will cover five million square kilometres, something that has not happened for eight years.

In a related article, Watts says that climate activists, including government bureaucrats, claimed that the ice sheet was melting six times faster than it was 30 years ago. This claim, improved to seven times, was recently repeated by Matt McGrath and the BBC. But 30 years ago, the Greenland ice sheet was barely melting at all. “Six times almost no ice loss is hardly an example of a climate change crisis,” observes Watts. Over the last couple of decades, claims of Greenland ice melting have been used to bolster fears of runaway sea level rises, says Watts. He adds that satellite images and recordings going back to 1993 show sea levels rising at a mere 1.2 inches per decade, and this is not significantly different to typical rises recorded since the mid-1800s.

Of course, all these scare stories are politicised science pushing the command-and-control Net Zero agenda. Let us put it in a wider paleoclimatic frame to see how dramatic effects are sometimes produced by natural variation. An interesting paper has just been published by two glaciologists in America, Laura Larocca and Yarrow Axford, that found that over half of the Arctic’s glaciers and ice caps (GICs) that exist today did not exist or were smaller 10,000 to 3,400 years ago. At the time, atmospheric carbon dioxide ranged between 260 to 270 parts per million, compared to the current 410 ppm.

>Would it surprise anyone to this day now if the Elites who are invited guest to the funeral gathering came specifically to eat her and others were forced to be part of the eating ceremony.

What the hell? She was old and frail. Dead skunk in the middle of the road, stinking to high heaven.

“I’m just going to refer back to the vice president. We agree with her. She is saying that there’s a lot of work to do…We agree that the border is secure, but there is still more work to be done,”

Work? What work? They keeping saying that they're working on the problem. Where's the receipts?

Illegal immigrants overwhelm New York City's shelter system

Now New York is complaining. The chickens are coming home to roost.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on Wednesday that the time has come to reconsider the Big Apple's historic "right to shelter" laws as he cannot handle the influx of illegal immigrants being bused from Texas. The city has identified itself as a "sanctuary city" where illegal aliens are more than welcome, and even sought to give non-citizens the right to vote in local elections.

Adams said the system is "nearing its breaking point" and "no city official, advocate, or court could have contemplated" how to manage the mass illegal immigration. The city has a policy of giving a bed to anyone who seeks one, and over the weekend, it was unable to live up to that promise.

"The city’s prior practices, which never contemplated the busing of thousands of people into New York City, must be reassessed," Adams said. His comments came after his administration failed to bed and shelter roughly 60 of the migrants who were recently bused into the city.

"No city official, advocate, or court ever could have contemplated the unprecedented crisis. We’re saying the whole system needs to be reassessed," said Adams' press secretary Fabien Levy.

Prior to the Texas governor sending migrants to NYC, the Biden administration had been quietly doing the same thing, often giving them faulty information on where to go. Adams said on July 21 that he could not handle a recent increase of 2,800 migrants into NYC's homeless and public welfare programs and that it was a real "burden" to the already "overburdened shelter system." Abbot asked the Biden Administration for help, to no avail.

Tesla owner says he’s locked out after battery died, replacement costs $26K

A Tesla owner in Canada claimed he is locked out of his $140,000 vehicle after the battery died, and that the electric automaker told him a replacement would cost $26,000.

Mario Zelaya posted a video on TikTok saying his "piece of trash" Model S died and that the car is locked, preventing him from being able to get inside. The caption on the video reads: "$26K for a new battery. Locked out of car. Recalls are needed."

He said he purchased the car in 2013 but said models from that year and 2014 have issues with fluid from the air conditioning system leaking onto the battery.

"I got Transport Canada involved, and they actually did an investigation on the car. Not only did they do an investigation on this car, they're gonna be doing one that Tesla doesn't realize is coming up."
