Say BOOMER Gary.. say itโ€ฆsay itโ€ฆ

Anon is descended from a very long line of Boomers. The Sooners were too late.

Boomers were people who lobbied for the lands to be opened (and raided into them illegally)

Proud to be a Boomer descendant.

Burning a damaged flag is proper disposal. Anon sends all the worn out or torn flags to the scouts, they teach the tradition and proper disposal including the use of the Pledge of Allegiance as part of the ceremony. It's very respectful.

These days.. who knowsโ€ฆ

What is the significance of the gold fringe which we see on some United States flags?

Question:

What is the significance of the gold fringe which we see on some United States flags?

Answer:

Records indicate that fringe was first used on the flag as early as 1835. It was not until 1895 that it was officially added to the national flag for all regiments of the Army. For civilian use, fringe is not required as an integral part of the flag, nor can its use be said to constitute an unauthorized addition to the design prescribed by statute. It is considered that fringe is used as an honorable enrichment only. (Military tradition)

The courts have deemed without merit and frivolous, lawsuits that contend that the gold fringe adorning the flag conferred Admiralty/Maritime jurisdiction.

Scouts or VFW are both excellent choices.

Funeral home tried to sell anon a flag display box for the low low price of $250. I piped up with "I'll check on Amazon, no thanks"

IMMEDIATELY they come back with "Your father was a VFW member, here's their free display box"

Still smdh, the greed, the absolute greed said in very dulcet tones, fake sympathy. Glad that was a one and done.

There's a whole lot of oil & gas leases in KS, they go way back. They're a bitch to follow in the Land Books at the Courthouses. Anon was surprised to see the name Rockefeller with leases in KS. (*this was years ago, stumbled across it and read some)
