Incorrect.

There is not enough port capacity to supply Germany (much less Europe's) needs. They have already chewed through 10% of their reserves and it isn't even October.

Even with strict rationing, the question must be asked, what is worth the use? Germany is carrying the EU in industrial output. Distupting that sends supplies of manufactured goods into decline while the govermment turns on the money printer for endless waves of currency chasing an ever declining supply of products. We call that stagflation and in its terminal phase, hyperinflation.

There was never the potential for war in the first place. Day one, playing as Russia, I send TU-160s in dropping hypersonic land attack missiles (nuclear tipped) into Germany's port refinery sector.

It is game over at that point. I likely need a larger general operation to degrade the air defense network - but generally speaking, Russia has the capacity for that kind of penetration bombing campaign.

MAD is largely irrelevant as Russia has demonstrated terminal intercept of ballistic warheads. No one but the U.S. has the arsenal to penetrate via saturation - and why would we precipitate a strategic exchange over the whole ordeal? Unlike Russia, we do not have the strategic resources in place to protect our infrastructure from nuclear attack. Not at the scale it would come in during a full strategic exchange.
