New book on human perception and how it is exploited in magic to produce 'impossible' illusions.

Our eyes are the biggest bandwidth perceptual input

our vision has

1) a large central blindspot

2) .01 second lag due to slo bio processing

3) "real time" vision the future โ€“ a prediction of movement made algorithmically in the visual cortex

4) 100 ms blindness every single saccade (eye movement) for a total of about 4 hrs blindness every day we never notice.

Naive perception hardly resembles the composite reality within which it is constructed.

Such perceptual defects are the basis of the "cognitive exploits" used to convince people that up is down and left is right, as images are projected onto the foevea, the only part of the visual sensory organs that can perceive color or 'high def' images.

Outside the fovea peripheral visual field is 1) Low definition, 2) Black and white

Our visual field appears complete and continuous to us, when in fact it is neither.

We are already producing new knowledge, objectivly true scientific knowledge, faster that is can be deployed in technological form in our material reality.

The deep integration of computational technology into every area of human endeavor has resulted in a change in the rate of change at which new, objectively true, scientific knowledge is discovered.

This is why the future is nothing like the past. Our entire history is predictable growth, additive growth, geometric growth - no nonlinear surprises. Until now. Things don't just seem to happen faster than they used to they do happen faster than they used to. Call it the second coming, the singularity, the knowledge explosion or quantum genesis, what's coming is the end of an aeon, and there is nothing the pedovores can do to stop it.

The future is non linear. Irritating, low probability threats become existential threats overnight when new tech is connected to a network. Powerful, unfamiliar, non intuitive technologies eg CRISPR, present threats to human survival that emerge only on connection to a network or upon the introduction of some new, enabling technology.

eg The genetic code of the 1917 flu virus wasn't dangerous until CRISPR kits became available online. Now, any determined fanatic can modify a virus to make a plague.

There are many examples.

The hidden dangers of the internet itself only began to emerge decades after the technology was widely adopted and human civilization had become utterly dependant on and irreversibly committed to computation dependant civilization.

a future currently controlled by pedovore cultists in Big Tech, Big Media and Big Government. Not to mention Big Justice. Who own the networks control the future. That's why the cult built the railroads here in America. They could control which towns and industries would prosper. They insured that cities they controlled would prosper, those who opposed would stagnate and die. Not many people understood network function when the railroads were built, no more than we understood the communications networks, when only 3 nodes existed.

Those who did understand networks, transportation, communications and markets virtual and material was the cult.

Early railroad ownership and contruction records show cultist monopolist like Old Corn Vanderbilt went to considerable trouble to conceal what they were doing; from competitors and the general population. Layers of corporate ownership, the complex paper trail of deeds, contracts, sales and leasebacks; complex control heirachies webs reflect this.

The internet's non linear properties super charged real world crime; spread the contagious plague of child pornography, permitted the existence of self validating pedophile support groups, fund raising activity, political lobbying and organizing, and the child trafficking networks. The internet has made hard narcotics, steroids, sex hormones available worldwide to anyone with a mobile device. The anonymous internet is the domain of skinwalkers. It incubates every kind of crime and fraud.

Doesn't have to be that way.

An evolution of the internet into a new kind of network, secure for all because it is secure from all - a rectified internet can be the means of our liberation from slavery and from material want. A safe and secure internetwork will allow us to provide free advanced education, medical diagnosis and treatment, warn of and assist in emergencies, distribute energy 'news' and vital information that is real, important and true.

A secure network can be the foundation not just of future technological elaboration, but of a democratic and egalitarian society .

We talk about this type of change to the internet as if it is optional. That's only polite. The fact is secure networking technology is required to support advanced computational civilizations.

The particular flavor internetworking -the tech specs may vary, but assured identity/secure networking is mandatory, in some form, to support a civilization of autonomous free people living in a non linear future.

Non linear means enormous opportunities and unfamiliar dangers. Existential hazards that grow from very fast to instantaneously and propagate vigorously over insecure information networks. Demons.

If we do not instantiate our rights as specified in the US constitution into the hardened protocols of our network, then those rights will not exist.

Whether you call it "romanticism" "Gothic" or "satanic" Isidore Ducasse ended the literary experiment with a summary of a century of achievements in gothic (romantic or satanist) literature. He lived a very short life, as if only to write what he did. A life the photographer Man Ray understated as enigmatic. It was satano-encrypted.

From Poesies:

How the Australian ant-slayer spider captures shills

Scientists have known for a long time that Australian ant-slayer spiders survive by capturing and eating banded sugar ants. Both creatures live on or around Eucalyptus trees. The spiders hide in the bark of the tree during the day and then come out at night to prey on the ants. The ants climb the trees at night to forage. But until now it was not known how the tiny spiders are able to capture prey that is roughly twice their size. To find out, the researchers filmed the action using high-speed cameras and then watched in slow motion.

It turns out the spider uses some pretty fancy moves to disable the ant. The researchers found that a hunting event started with a single spider tying itself to the tree trunk and then waiting for an ant to appear. When it did, the spider leapt into the air, and using its back legs, attached a single line of silk to the ant. The spider did not stop, howeverโ€”in one continuous movement, it soared past the ant in a somersault and then dangled beneath the ant, out of reach.

What Do You Make of the Stars?

Would you look at the number of stars out tonight?

I can't think when I've ever seen starlight so bright.

You can see why they say it's romantic alright,

All those men with flamenco guitars.

You can bet they insist on another thing too,

Make a wish on a star and that wish will come true.

Do you think something like that might happen for you?

Tell me, what do you make of the stars?

Can you find what your ancestors pictured up there?

Can you pick out the Archer, the Dog and the Bear?

Do you know that the starlight is crowning your hair

With the wealth of the last of the Tsars?

I don't know how much star gazing's ever been worth,

I don't know if the heavens acknowledge the earth

But it feels like a star did a dance at your birth

Tell me, what do you make of the stars?

When we're young, we like anything fiery and bright,

like the Fourth of July, or Christmas tree lights.

We strike big kitchen matches (although that's not right)

and put glow worms in mayonnaise jars.

Someday, if we grow up, like most people do,

We look at the stars and they're no longer new

Then we have to ask somebody little, like you,

Tell me, what do you make of the stars?

The Order of the Garter today is in structure much the same as it had been in Edward III's time. As described by Britannica, there are 24 knights or ladies who are appointed by the monarch with the sovereign and the prince of Wales added. There are some key differences, however. Originally, when there came a vacancy in the order, the living knights elected new knights to fill the vacancies.ย "Medieval Prosopography" reports that the new companions were selected based on their military abilities. This emphasis faded, and eventually the power of appointment shifted entirely to the monarch.
