Trueee, crypto mining requires a lot of energy use. Would allow China to mine the rest of the World's crypto easily if the competition is burdened. Then a world wide digital currency scheme would be deployed, and as we know with the amount of sheep that fell for the COVID scam (which was a simulation), most of the world would bow down to their digital overlords and comply no problem.
So the digital overlords will only accept the digital currencies they already own heavy amounts in and ban the other ones claiming they are Nazis.
