A senior woman Maoist leader who was the Divisional Committee Member of the outlawed Communist Party of India (Maoist)’s South Bastar Division, surrendered before the Telangana police last evening.

Savitri is the wife of late Ravula Srinivas alias Ramanna, who was a Central Committee (CC) member and secretary of the Dandakarnya Special Zonal Committee of the banned CPI (Maoist).

Madavi Hademe, South Bastar Divisional Committee Member of South Bastar in Chattisgarh of the outlawed CPI(Maoist), who is accused of involvement in nine major violent attacks resulting in the death of 117 security personnel, surrendered before Telangana police.

Madavi alias Savitri, is wife of CPI-Maoist Central Committee member late Ravula Srinivas alias Ramanna who died of ill health nearly three years ago.

Their son Ravula Srikanth too worked with the proscribed Maoists and surrendered before police last year.

Ravula Srinivas with a combined bounty of Rs 1.37 crore on him is suspected to have died of a cardiac arrest.

He is accused of masterminding several attacks with high death tolls among security personnel.

His wife Sodi Idime [Hademe?] also known as Savitri is secretary of Kistaram Area Committee in Bastar and an underground operative. Their son Srikanth alias Ranjit is also a member of the banned People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) Battalion.
