Is there any sauce for any of these interpretations? I've not seen any sauce and any time I've seen an anon ask for sauce they have been met with criticism that they were dumb and didn't know military protocols or some shit.

If you search for the meaning of a starless flag you will find a lot of links, essentially to the same source, over the last few days but you will find virtually nothing about it when you do a date range search.

Everything I know about flag code and decorum suggests that a starless flag as presented here would be a huge no-no in the US, especially any event hosting a former president. And any suggestion that the meaning of this is "enemy occupation of the 50 states", "your complete annihilation", or "negotiations are over" are purely speculation.

Now, I would accept that this flag is possibly poorly lit, or it appears to be quilted in some way so it may be more decorative perhaps. But I still don't see that as a possible explanation to violate US flag code. And the stars do look, to this anon's eyes, to have been intentionally modified for effect.

What I have found in my additional research tonight is section 10. Interestingly,

"ยง10. Modification of rules and customs by President

Any rule or custom pertaining to the display of the flag of the United States of America, set forth herein, may be altered, modified, or repealed, or additional rules with respect thereto may be prescribed, by the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, whenever he deems it to be appropriate or desirable; and any such alteration or additional rule shall be set forth in a proclamation"

Available here and many other places: https://www.ushistory.org/betsy/flagcode.htm

So I humbly ask again, as other anons have as well, where is the sauce that a starless flag has this intepretation that has spread like wildfire?
