For the amount of hope (and time) I placed in what the OIG report was supposed to reveal, to say I'm underwhelmed is being charitable. I don't thinks it's a stretch to say the idea was promoted that the report was what needed for those people in authority (Sessions), but only the sidelines, to have any underlying basis to bring formal charges without looking like political persecution.

It is a major let-down. The joke's on me. The system protects those at the top, on both sides, and we move on. There will certainly be mid-level villains who go to prison, just as Scooter Libby was during that crisis, but I don't expect much more anymore.

It really was only a movie. The credits have started to roll, theater lights have gone on and they want me to go.

Personally though, I have been talking about the importance of Horowitz's report for so long (months), it's just a major disappointment. The other replays are either such bunker mentality folks, or some mirrored David Brock types. People hear hate to read/learn there could be anything's in opposition to the Storm narrative, all they are able to do is reply with hostility. So again, thanks for te reply.

Jumping in midstream anons. Didn't know that he died etc. He was amazing. I treasure a DVD I have that's basically a 90 minute interview with him. I was captivated by his insight and truthfulness. Recall he was one of the few to sound the alarm about the housing crises/Great Recession that followed AND confronted the C_A director in that LA/South Central town hall regarding the drugs that were being brought into the community. First and last time they engaged in an attempt at community outreach.

Recall he had an early mailing, long before the Internet, called "From the Wilderness" or some such. Running on memory here. Was a retired LA detective and had very interesting parents too (one was a code-breaker or whatever). Great guy. A real prophet. He saw shit and tried to information people. Far, far more than 95% of society will ever contribute.

Great image anon (I replied a bit more to your next post). That tilted head at the mic. Just as I remember it. The other part was how the whole crowd cheered for him. Though it shouldn't matter, it does in our culture, so I'll point out (save for the folks on stage), he was probably the only white dude in the room.
