Residents across Palm Beach County Prepare For Possible Hurricane
NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. —
As Tropical Storm Ian's path forecasts a hit to Florida as a hurricane, some residents are already preparing. In North Palm Beach, WPBF 25 News spoke with a number of people getting gas and getting prepared with gas canisters in hand. While the exact location of landfall isn't yet known, these people said they aren't taking their chances. Stay Prepared: WPBF 25 News coverage on hurricanes "Most people think there is something wrong with this guy, but with my groceries, I'm always stocked, I have a freezer out back and things like this," said Ralph Moscoso, who getting gas Friday morning. "My generators — I pull them out at least one twice a year and run them, so when something like this comes up, my end of the deal is very minimal." If people do decide to get extra gas, it's important to store it in a safe area when they get home. It's also important to keep some gas for any power equipment people may need to use like chainsaws or generators.
