Just released spaghettis on IAN:

Looks like IAN is a Tally whacker in this model run. Bullseye on Tallahassee. The NHC model much worse with a run over Tampa/Orlando/Gainesville/Jax/Brunswick/Savannah…that would suck.
Western Cuba isn't even a speed bump for a hurricane…nothing like Hispanola or the Gitmo hills area in the eastern end. It might shoot the Yucatan/Cuba gap and not miss a beat. A lot do that. The Gulf water is hot for most of that track, so it'll have access to racing fuel.
Irma is a four-letter word in my house. What Matthew didn't wipe out, Irma did. Two of the worst and I've seen many. I had a beautiful Dodge Cummins 4x4 that I had for 19 years and had less than 80K mi and Irma flattened it under a giant cedar tree. I loved that old truck.
Think you meant hurricane IAN…Fiona is up in Labrador atm.
Left for Matthew and a good thing…stayed for Irma and paid for it. Hurricanes have cost me fortune…if you make a claim, or even call about how to make a claim you get on the avoid and overquote list. Ask me how I know. Most destructive forces on the planet. Helpless but to watch in terrible awe. Tornados the size of states that bring the ocean with them.
Thinking about heading up into the high country and dealing with the snow half the year. I hate snow, but it usually doesn't tear up everything I own every few years for the privilege of not having to shovel sunshine in January. Actually probably more to do with the poles getting ready to flip; but these f'n canes have been on my last nerve about 5 canes ago, so it's time for a change of natural disasters. Swapping the white squalls for forest fires, frostbite, and blizzards.
That's the So. Florida snow-bird yankees you're talking about. Florida peeps are salt of the earth. The yankess come down here and bring all their How we do things up north BS including their politics and gold slippers. You build a wall and keep the yankees up there. Real Floridians make things better by raising the average.
