In a normal year, a farmer in Iowa begins and ends
the harvest of soybeans before he begins the harvest
of corn.
( A farmer who owns just one combine-harvester
will have to switch from a bean head to a corn head
and have to adjust various other settings. )
At this date, if all of the soybean pods were still green
( worse yet would be for all plants to still have lush green leaves )
it would be an indication to any farmer that he'd have a really
messed up harvest season.
To us anons, he might be saying:
EVERYTHING IS ON TRACK !
