You're right. Kids have been deliberately dumbed down for the past 40 years by imposition of a sub-standard education. The under 40s general public IS (in general) dumb. Uneducated, ill-disciplined, brainwashed into believing they deserve everything for applying no effort.
I totally agree. Children learn more through mimicry than instruction. Also, they will always adopt the most efficient way to satisfy their needs/desires. The instant gratification afforded by TV and even more by video games makes learning to read and write and socialise and exercise imagination and entertain themselves a poor option.
Always present the harder way first and once that is mastered the easy way won't become the master.
