Goodlatte moves to subpoena FBI agent accused of anti-Trump bias

 

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte started the clock Friday on a procedure to subpoena Peter Strzok, the FBI agent accused by an internal Justice Department watchdog of harboring intense bias against President Donald Trump.

The Virginia Republican's move comes on the heels of a critical Justice Department inspector general report that delivered a harsh assessment of Strzok's animus toward Trump, revealed through private text messages to FBI attorney Lisa Page that were uncovered during the internal investigation.

Two sources briefed on subpoena effort indicated that Goodlatte has formally notified his Democratic counterparts of his intent to subpoena Strzok, a step that launches a two-day waiting period before he can officially issue the subpoena, under committee procedures.

 

Goodlatte's official notice to his colleagues points toward a subpoena being issued as early as next week.

US drone kills Pakistan Taliban chief

 

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — A U.S. drone strike in northeastern Kunar province killed Pakistan Taliban chief Mullah Fazlullah, the insurgent leader who ordered the assassination of Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, an Afghan Defense Ministry spokesman said Friday.

 

In a telephone interview, Mohammad Radmanish said Fazlullah and two other insurgents were killed early Thursday morning, just hours before Afghanistan’s Taliban began a three-day cease fire to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. The three-day holiday follows the end of Islam’s holy month of Ramadan when devout adherents fast from sunrise to sunset.

 

However, Sakhi Mashwani, a Parliamentarian from Kunar province told the Associated Press that Fazlullah, along with five other insurgents, died when the strike slammed into the vehicle in which they were driving.

Here’s the Rundown on the Corrupt Obama-Appointed Judge Who Tossed Manafort in Jail

 

Her actions with Paul Manafort alone are cause for her to be removed or impeached.

 

We reported two months ago and again earlier this month, that Obama appointed liberal activist Judge, Amy Berman Jackson, was assigned to the most important court case in US history. Sadly, Judge Jackson has a horrible far left record on the bench. In 2013 Judge Jackson rejected arguments from the Catholic Church that Obamacare’s requirements that employers provide cost free coverage to contraceptive services is contrary to their religious beliefs and violated their religious and free speech freedoms. This was overturned by the Supreme Court.

In 2017 Judge Jackson dismissed the wrongful death suit against Hillary Clinton filed by two of the families who lost loved ones in Benghazi. The families argued that Clinton had done little to help their sons and then lied to cover it up.

Then on January 19th of this year, a Paul Manafort’s case was reassigned to Judge Jackson on January 19th, a few weeks after being filed.

 

It is unknown why she was assigned to this case or by whom.
