DeSantis was asked about this in presser this morning. He said that there are only 2 confirmed deaths right now most likely attributed to storm.
He said the 'hundreds' was an estimated based on number of 'registered stay in place' residents who called and said things were getting bad and they were going to attic.
Those people are being 'searched for' and rescued now.
nobody knows their condition at this time.

But on Foxnews this morning, Desantis was asked by Dana P if he/Florida have confirmed that they will get Fed funds.
DeSantis avoided answering the question and pivoted to asking people to donate to the Florida Emergency Fund.
The White House is doing all the right things to make people think they care about and will help Florida, but they will put in so much red tape that they won't.
Bottom line, imho, Bidan adm will try to set up DeSantis for mishandling funds..
