Queen's death certificate reveals how royals raced in vain to be by her side: Monarch died of 'old age' at 3.10pm while William, Edward and Andrew were in the air and five hours before Harry arrived - with only Charles and Anne able to get to Balmoral

 

Historic document reveals that the late monarch died at 3.10pm on September 8 at Balmoral Castle in Ballater

 

The cause of death is listed as old age. The certificate is signed by the Princess Royal, who told the registrar

 

Dr Douglas Glass, a local GP and Apothecary to the Household at Balmoral, certified the Queen's death

 

The death certificate confirms some of the Queen's children and grandchildren tried in vain to be with her

 

William, Andrew, Edward and Sophie were in the air when she died. They landed at Aberdeen at 3.50pm

 

Prince Harry was in the air when her death was made known to the world. He arrived at Balmoral at 7.52pm
